Better than expected.
Just as described online, but the location was better than I expected. With the fast paced city, it was nice to have a slower street to stay on. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely stay again when we make it back that way.
location, location, location
We were in NOLA for a wedding. Alex's place on Magazine St. turned out to be the perfect location. Lots of great restaurants and shops close by with easy access to the bus and cable cars.
It was clean and quiet. Had a comfortable bed and safe off the street parking. A little funky with lots of NOLA character which you would expect from an 1830's era house.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Thanks Alex for a great weekend; love what you have planned for the house.
Fantastic location, close to transport and restaurants.
The Curtis House is in the Garden District of New Orleans. We stayed there for 2 weeks for Jazzfest. Public transport to the Fest and the Quarter was a block or two away and the house is on Magazine Street, with lots of restaurants and shops. Alex was a great host and available to answer questions but not intrusive. The area was very quiet and safe and we didn't really see or hear the other guests . The apartment was as per the website and perfect for our needs. A terrific experience overall.
Location, location , location Alex was great
Easy to get anywhere
A Great Place to Stay
I can't say enough about the location location location of this place. Right on Magazine street, 1/2 block from a bus stop directly to the French Quarter or the other way to the universities. A world-famous donut place 2 blocks away, and a Starbucks (with actual character!) about 100 yards away (but other coffee shops right nearby if Starbucks isn't your thing). I walked to the supermarket 5 minutes away and stocked the refrigerator for my 4-day stay. The apartment is exactly as pictured, the back part (separate entrance) of a southern-style building. It has all the amenities, including an iron, hangers, towels, bottled water, central air, and a full kitchen, too. Alex met me right when I arrived, and he answered my questions. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to NOLA.
Perfect location and private
Close to everything. Owner was friendly and available if I needed to get in contact. Place is highly recommended.
