About Leslie Tomich
I love dogs, I love vacationing! Day to day I am a full time Realtor in Sonoma County which is very fulfilling. I purchased the cottage in 2011 as a get away for my family. Then I used VRBO to book a condo when I went to Hawaii in 2013. I saved a lot of money being able to cook for my family and thought hey-why don't I let other people enjoy my cottage when my family isn't using it!

2018 Winter Stay
The cabin is small and cozy. From this location it is a short drive to Bodega Bay, Healdsburg, and Windsor. We had a wonderful time. We visited the Russian River and decided it was the wrong time of year for that. Our dog Gia also enjoyed the trip, and that's saying something! Thanks for a great stay.
My stay In Forestville was marvelous. Very quiet area. Great local food and Leslie was very accommodating at all times. 5 stat for sure
A fun getaway.
The cabin, while small, was very clean and comfortable. It was close to many good restaurants, wineries, and beach access spots
Great respite after wine country tasting
Cozy accommodations with all the basic amenities, great for travelers that are comfortable being “off the grid”, very private and peaceful town with great coffee “Roasters” and bakery “Nightingale” downtown, pet-friendly so don’t book if you have pet allergies.
Meh... no washer, no dryer, no cell service
The negatives outweighed the positives in our experience with this property.
The physical location of the cottage in Forestville was great. It was within walking distance to both a market and Burke’s
Canoes. There were quality cooking pots. The cable service worked well. The roof did not leak.
We could not receive cell phone calls or texts with Verizon as the cottage appeared to be in a “dead zone.” The mobile application for Home Away listed both a washer and dryer at the cottage. There was no washer or dryer or iron or ironing board. The wood on the stairs and deck seemed spongy and was unsettling to walk upon. One chair on the deck had one leg fall through a hole between the boards...be careful. The backyard smelled like a dog’s toilet. The bed seemed old and had memory of other occupants as it was indented. The elevated table and chairs seemed rickety and we did not use them much. Also, there was a nice oven but no pans to bake anything. The water temperature in the shower was strangely inconsistent, it would be just right and then go cold.
We were happy to leave the cottage and suggest that the owner stay there for a week to appreciate our concerns with the property.
