Overview

About the property

B&B on the hills, surrounded by beautiful countryside, 3rooms private bathroom

Our B&B is situated at the second floor of a stone farmhouse probably dating back to the beginning of the 18th century, totally renovated in 2010 offering modern standard and full comfort.

The B&B has own independent entry :there are three rooms, all equipped with bathroom and shower. A large room with fireplace, a terrace and a little kitchen are available for the guests to relax and enjoy their morning breakfast. Our breakfast are made with high quality local bio food: Jams, cake and bread are handmade by us.

You will have access to our private swimming pool , the garden and bbq, as well as a natural park of four hectares, wich includes, hills, forest and stream, in wich we have placed in the most suggestive corner, hammocks and benches.

We live in the Farmhouse next to yours: if you want we can meet and make small talk, instead if you want to stay alone , you have plenty opportunities because outdoor spaces are very large and we are not pushy people!

For any question or information we are available and always present when we have guests.

We are near the small town of Cantiano, right on the border between Umbria and Marche located 8km from Gubbio; you will love the quietness , the silence of the green that embraces us and at the same time the accessibility of each service in a few minute from here. There are many places to see and something for everyone: from the nature trails, the city 's art, shopping in the numerous outlets to the excellent restaurants in these hidden villages around here ... in this part of Italy, we love to eat and drink well!

We are in the heart of Italy and it is impossible to list all the wonders of these lands: Gubbio, Umbertide, Arezzo, Città di Castello, Assisi, Perugia, Urbino, Fano, Pesaro, these are just some of the destinations to reach starting from here and the most distant from us is less than an hour! When you'll be here, we will suggest small villages and old places partly unknown that will remain in your heart.

Oh my gosh. How to describe this place. If we could go back in a second, we would.

Coming to Ca' Paravento and meeting Roberto and Alessia and their sweet dog Deli was among the highlights of our trip to Italy. The place is heartstopping beautiful...they've done an amazing job renovating this 6th-century structure into a beautiful haven to live and dream and entertain guests. Every little angle of this property shows a loving touch and invites you to want to spend at least part of a lifetime here....just a feast for the senses and for the soul. Roberto and Alessia will steal your heart w their love and passion for this place, their beautiful personalities, their love of all things local, their amazing dog who adopted them when they moved to this place several years ago, their active participation in the local community, those UNMATCHABLE homemade breakfasts (have never seen a spread that charming in our lives), and just the wholesome magic they've created for themselves and their friends in this beautiful spot....we really didn't want to leave. We're just grateful we got to spend four days of our lives here, and we hope to return.

A Magical Oasis

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Roberto and Alessia's B&B at the beginning of September for a few nights. Their place far exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it! It's even more lovely than the beautiful pictures on the website. It's not just that it's a delightful, serene place, but that you can feel from the moment you arrive how much love, care, and attention has gone into making this a warm, welcoming retreat. We were lucky enough to have mild weather and have one of our breakfasts out on the terrace with an amazing view of the mountains and hills. The breakfast was scrumptious featuring Alessia's homemade breads and jams, a variety of cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, and more. We had never been in that area of Italy before, we had also never driven a car in Italy so by the time we had arrived on our first night - much later than we expected - we were more than a bit weary and hungry. Instead of directing us back out for dinner, they very graciously grilled us some fresh vegetables and served us some wine so we were able to get settled in right away. During the entire trip they were available to give us great ideas about traveling in the area and things to do, but also made sure we had the privacy to be on our own and unwind. The pool and surrounding area are quite lovely as the views are also spectacular and the grounds feel so serene. We spent one whole day just lounging on the property in the hammocks and poolside. Again it was better than we expected, just a magical place to relax and forget about any stressors you may have in your day-to-day life. We felt the entire time that we were staying at a good friend’s place, it's that comfortable, beautiful, and welcoming. It's obvious that Roberto and Alessia work very hard to create this magical vacation experience. If you are anywhere near the area of Gubbio give yourself a treat and spend some time at Ca’Paravento. You will be glad you did. ❤️ All the best! Noreen & Warren

A Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful spot t get away to. We were greeted by Roberto and Allisa(spelling?) and what a very nice couple. They speak English so this was a plus. The B & B had three bedroom with each having there own bath. All the little decorating touches throughout the home made you feel at home. Just decorated very nice. Sitting area, small kitchen and a great patio to sit on and look at the mountains. Great views. There is also a nice pool. Breakfast was outstanding. Everything served was homemade. Even the yogurt! They gave us maps, direction, and restaurant recommendations. We stayed at 4 B & B's on our vacation in France, switzerland, and Italy. This is our favorite and by far provided the best lodging for relaxation. It is also priced very reasonable. You won't be disappointed here.

"I stayed at Cà Paravento with my 3 children, aged 10, 12 and 14 for 3 nights. We were delighted. We would leave in the morning to explore the area- there is so much to do!! we went to Assisi, Gubbio, booked a guided tour of the caves under Mount Cucco, did a treck on the Mount Catria, ate at the local restaurant in Cantiano and in the evening we would come back to the peace of Cà Paravento, where the surroundings are stunning. Roberto and Alessia are perfect hosts, kind, always smily and ready to give you lots of good advice and directions. We HAVE to come back to do more cycling and trecking."
