“Thank you for a really perfect vacation, all was best! The biggest bonus was the direct access to the sea! We loved the different views over the sea and the beach. Also, the maintenance from the staff was of a very high standard. Very often we had dinner at the nearby restaurant, where they provide lovely food! Kefalonia is an extremely beautiful island…I am pretty sure that we will come again!”
A wonderful time had by our party of 19 at villa brio 2 3 and 4.
Amazing location next to sea with private access but within walking distance of skala (20 minutes )for evening out or 5 euro for a taxi.
The villas are spotlessly cleaned everyday and very well equipped the pools are great a perfect holiday had by all.
Many thanks Annita.
We stayed for 1 week in Villa 3.
The villa location was as described, on the top of a cliff about 5 mins taxi drive from Skala village (€5).
It's opposite a hotel which is great if you want a meal, drink etc.
The rooms in villa are good sized but lounge area was ok for us (4people) but would be big enough for more. Only a 2 seater sofa and another sort of seats nd a table with 4 chairs. This wasn't a problem as we were down by the pool or on the top bedroom balcony which had the most spectacular views of the sea and coastline. The views were absolutely amazing!!!
A/c in all bedrooms. Lots of hanging space in wardrobes and good drawer space. The beds were comfy and towels provided.
The villa was very clean and the cleaner came daily.
Only thing we found strange was there was a dishwasher but no tablets to use in it. We thought to leave a few would have been a nice touch. Also nothing left in kitchen from other guests ie salt and pepper etc which you do normally find.
We would have like some information as there was no tourist leaflets ie map, trips, local info so we went to the hotel (Pelagos hotel) opposite for these -very friendly English owner.
The walk to nearest supermarket was a good 20 mins away which in the heat of the day as a bit far so we phoned a taxi which always were prompt and efficient with friendly drivers.
The village of Skala was quiet with lovely restaurants and food. We didn't have a bad meal!
The Old Times, Nautilus,
Mikelatos Family, old pines were our favourites. A great chill out bar was Ammos which was about half way into Skala.
The sea was amazing a clear and we used the little jetty to get access to the sea then swim to the little cove next to us - perfect!
All in all we had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend Villa Brio to anyone wanting a peaceful stay and a beautiful location.
Thank you to Annita the owner who always responded quickly to all our queries.
We will be back!
Kefalonia is the largest island in the Ionian Sea and one of the world's most stunning holiday destinations, with charming beaches and high quality resorts.
Highlights not to miss while at the island: the famous beach of Myrtos (amongst top ten in the world!), the natural beauties of Mellisani lake, the deep-green mountain of Ainos where the unique species of wild small horses can be met (if lucky!), the local 'robola' wineries and last - but not least - the traditional meat pie!
You can get to Kefalonia either by plane or car. There are direct flights from UK and other EU countries. Villa Brio is 30 min drive from island`s International Airport. In case you use a car, you take the ferry from Italy to Patra (mainland Greece). Then you take the ferry to Sami (island`s main port), about 3 hours trip. Villa Brio is 35 min drive from Sami port. Another option is to take the ferry from Killini (1 hour drive from Patra) to Poros port, which is just 10 min drive to Villa Brio.
The complex is located at the edge of the famous sandy beach of Skala village, just 1 mile walk to the village centre with restaurants, bars, food shops, bakery, pharmacy, medical centre, gift shops, car/bike rentals, ATM etc.
Closest beach just on-site, closest restaurant at 100 m & closest super market at approx.300 m.
Beside the villas, there is a water sports centre, scuba centre & boat hire...or you can enjoy just walking/cycling along the coast!
Other Activities: Mountain biking, horse riding, sea kayak and trekking are all available within 30 minutes drive.
