Personal and artistic decorated 2 bedroom apartment with WIFI, TV etc
- english, german, spanish
I'm renting my home because we spent our Summers in our second home. I love to help travelers with all kinds of tips and recommendations, as much as I can. Le me know your interests, I'm sure, I can help you! I'm the person who traveled enough, since I have a daughter (4) but spent Summers on Slovenian coast. And I've always prefered apartments than hotels - I could prepare my own food, mix among citizens as almost one of them, observed the town from other perspective as 'package' tourists. Beside my artistic profession I do yoga, love to learn languages, watch arty movies and make long walks in Ljubljana town 'wood' - Roznik hill - that starts only 8 min walk from apartment.
Why Owner chose Ljubljana City Centre
You'll get a home, not a cheap Ikea like clone of holiday apartment.
What makes this Apartment unique
I love the view from the kitchen the best - over the roofs up to the woods and church of Roznik hill.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Centrally located family apartment
Great location near all the sights in Ljubljana. Apartment was easy to get to in our rental car and easy parking. Very comfortable for our family of 4 and we enjoyed Marusa’s gracious hospitality and touring recommendations.
Spacious Apartment, Centrally Located
The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and lives up to its name as artistically decorated. The curtains in the main bedroom are sheer, so you may need a sleep mask when the morning sun pours in.
The apartment is located right on the edge of the old town and just a couple blocks to the river but away from the crowds. It was particularly convenient to the Maxi department store, the bottom floor of which is a big grocery store with lots of prepared food at deli counters.
Marusa was very friendly, helpful and communicative via WhatsApp. She met us at the apartment to make sure my wife and I had smooth entry and to explain how everything worked. She was also constantly in communication throughout our stay, and she arranged for a taxi to pick us up when we left.
We had a wonderful time in Ljubljana and would definitely stay at Marusa's apartment again.
Great apartment for a family of 4 in a wonderful city
We had a wonderful time in Ljubljana at Marusa's Art Aemona apartment! The apartment is spacious with incredibly high ceilings as advertised. It is close enough to walk to all of the major sights in the city center and has multiple cafes/restaurants within two blocks (two are literally right across the street).
Our two kids loved the bunk bed setup, which provides almost the privacy of two separate rooms with the arrangement of the lower single bed and upper queen bed. The master bedroom was also comfortable and quiet.
We can also vouch for the comfort of the hammock, which all of us napped in at least once during our stay.
Marusa was great to deal with from the initial booking to our departure and provided great suggestions about what to see and where to eat when she delivered the keys to us. She even provided fresh fruit, a bottle of water, and some juice for the kids upon arrival--a lovely welcome to Slovenia.
Wonderful location and a very cute apartment
The apartment owner, Marusa, was so helpful and a wonderful host for our first visit to Slovenia. We loved strolling down the street from the apartment to restaurants, sight seeing, and cruising along the river. Be ready to walk up a few flights of stairs to the apartment, but you'll be happy to work off the ice cream.
Great apartment, great location and wonderful host
Marusa was a great host. She communicated clearly and often with me before our arrival and made everything go very smoothly. She even helped us arrange for a car to the airport. The apartment is located so central to Ljubljana that we walked everywhere and returned our rental car early. We found everything we needed in the apartment and my family enjoyed our stay very much. It was very spacious for our family of 4. My children enjoyed the hammock and the toys around the house. Everything was comfortable like home. We did not utility the kitchen at all as there was so many bakeries, cafes, and restaurants. Highly recommended.
A peaceful apatrment with a central location
This was a very centrally located apartment, which offered very peaceful accommodation to our family of 4 over 3 nights. We loved the apartment's homliness and appreciated the apartment's space and cleanliness. The owner had left soap, washing detergent, dishwash tablets etc which all made the stay a bit simpler, as well as good recommendations for places to eat. We would definitely stay again. The key transfer was apparently simple (our teenage son arrived first independently and collected key) and all communication with the owner was clear and she was very flexible. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Central Slovenia region is dominated by Slovenia's capital city Ljubljana, but the surrounding area also contains many sights worth seeing.
A city by the river on which the mythological Argonauts carried the Golden Fleece, a city by a moor where the crannog dwellers once lived, a city with the rich heritage of Roman Emona, a city that was once the capital of the Province of Carniola and the capital of Napoleon’s Illyrian Provinces, a city of Renaissance, Baroque, and especially Art Nouveau facades, a city that boasts the greatest exhibition of the architecture of the master Jože Plečnik—all this is Ljubljana.
The capital of Slovenia is a political, cultural, scientific, educational, business, and transportation center that in its own way combines the characteristics of Slovenia’s eastern and western, northern and southern regions. The city nestling below the hill with Ljubljana Castle has a lively cultural life created by numerous theatres, museums, and galleries, one of the oldest Philharmonics in the world, cinemas, more than ten thousand cultural events each year, as many as ten international festivals, including the Ljubljana Summer Festival, the Ljubljana Graphics Biennial, the Ljubljana Jazz Festival, the LIFFE Film Festival, and the Druga godba Festival of Alternative Music, and much more.
From Ljubljana you have 1 hour to the beach, skiing resorts (you can go skiing every day to the other ski resort and it will take around an hour by car), high mountains (30 minutes), other spa and water centres (30 - 70 minutes), caves (Postojna cave 40 minutes, Skocjanske jame 45 minutes), golf courses (40 minutes) etc. Some distance to famous towns in Slovenia: 55 km to Bled, 85 km to Kranjska gora, 75 km to Celje, 120 km to Portoroz (coast), 125 km to Maribor, 70 km to Novo mesto, 105 km to Bohinj.
