A perfect gem of a home nestled away amongst nature. If you’re looking to get away (and truly feel like you’re away) without being far from civilization then this home is just that. My only complaint is that I wish I had more time to spend at this lovely destination.
Lovey secluded home with water views and lots of cool birds
We really enjoyed our getaway at this beautiful home! We counted at least 8 bald eagles that were hanging out in the river right outside the house, plus also saw a crane, many types of ducks, and other birds. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Claire was a great host - communicative and clear. Thanks for a wonderful and rejuvenating retreat!
My husband and son stayed at this wonderful home over the Christmas holiday. I was trying to find the perfect home with a water and wildlife view and this home exceeded their expectations.
From the amazing daily wildlife that visits the water outside of the home, to the cozy fire places and comfy beds. Thank you Claire for making our Christmas 2018 one to remember. We have already shared our experience with family and friends in the hope that they will come and stay at your wonderful home.
Sincerely, The Mannor's
Wow! What a great experience and a lovely place. If you love nature this place is for you. One of our favorite things was to wake up early and take in the scenery of the birds, fish, otters, etc. from the porch. This home exceeded expectations and we had a lovely experience. If you are looking for somewhere to relax outside of the cities hustle and bustle this place is for you! We would highly recommend! We will be back.
Heaven in the Pacific Northwest
This is a truly beautiful property in a gorgeous setting, surrounded by nature. This trip was the fourth time we've travelled from Texas to the Key Peninsula, so you can assume we love everything about Salish House. The location is one of the greatest areas in the country. Seattle is a great city, the Olympic National Park is majestic, and quaint and interesting villages are in every direction. The area surrounding Minter Creek is filled with wildlife. We've seen all kinds of birds, ducks, geese, Bald Eagles. We've seen deer walking in the creek bed and even a seal swimming a few feet off the deck during high tide. And, most of this without ever leaving the property.
The house is also beautiful and comfortable, with a deck that's perfect for coffee by the water. I've used the grill at some point during each visit. Everything you need for a lovely vacation is at your fingertips. When we arrived, the place was spotless. And, Claire is the greatest hostess, always asking if there is anything she can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
The only problem is that we have to leave eventually. But, we'll be back, again and again.
What a spectacular property! It was peaceful, serene, and the location could not be better. We watched bald eagles, otter, salmon, as well as other wildlife. The property was impeccably maintained and was perfect for a family getaway.
