About the property

Relax by the river, your feet in the water...

You will appreciate its freshness and will be distracted by the ducks, squirrels, fish, herons, etc.

At the foot of the terrace, a 10 m² pool is waiting for you to swim!

Everything in this quiet and bright setting is a daydream!

Far away from the hustle and bustle of the flea markets, the antique shops and the Provencal markets of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, which is yet a 2-min walk away from your deckchair!!!

According to your desire, you can have your meals in the garden with garden furmiture:

On the large terrace fringed with roses, jasmines, lavender and overlooking the pool

by the river, in the shade of the olive trees.

Then, indulge in the pleasures of taking a nap or go for an excursion in canoe departing from the garden, a bike ride, a game of table tennis,

or why not a chess game, Scrabble, playing cards or petanque?

You can also immerse yourself in one of the numerous books (French/ English) of our library.

Pleasure in Provence

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic spot. Charming hosts, close to town, a drop dead back yard.

My family used this location to explore and immesh ourselves in the culture of Provence's Luberon.

It was like bing back in the middle ages. Waking up and walking to the nearby bakery for breakfast goodies and coffee. Visiting the various markets in towns and villages. The wine country. The Roman ruins. Did I forget to mention the restaurants?

The Sunday antiques market. If ever we return it will be to stay here again.

A dream come true

  • 5 of 5

An absolute dream property! The town is charming, just a short walk away, and also in close and convenient proximity are so many other lovely Provencal cities, villages and landscapes. It was actually hard for us to leave the house, despite the lure of such nearby beauty, plus active activities like canoeing, hiking, etc, also at your doorstep -- the home is that gorgeous and calm! We loved the opportunity to read, write, sleep, and just generally "be," in a peaceful place which is so lovingly cared for. A wonderful bakery is just steps away. If you cannot finish all the baguettes, it is even better -- the ducks appreciate them and it is so much fun to feed them off the back dock! Alain and Dominique are sweet and ideal hosts -- everything you could hope for. We'd count ourselves very fortunate to return. Warmly recommended.

The Perfect Base

  • 5 of 5

Alain and Dominique provided the perfect base for a holiday in Provence, welcoming us with complimentary biscuits and bottle of wine! The splendid house is extremely well equipped and lacks nothing to make for a delightful stay. It was particularly pleasant to be able to dine in the lovely garden and to cool off every day in the private pool.

The town is similarly delightful, with its rivers, bridges, water wheels, restaurants, ice cream parlours, etc., and it was a joy to wander around. Elsewhere, Arles, Gordes, Tarascon, and numerous other attractive locations are within easy reach, and driving around the splendid Provencal countryside is an experience in itself not to be missed.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would like to take this opportunity to say another "thank you very much" to our excellent hosts, Alain and Dominique.

Surpassed high expectations

  • 5 of 5

The home is lovely. The furnishings are great. The kitchen has just about all utensils, cookware, plates one could want for cooking (the basic seasonings/oil/salt etc. were not supplied).

But....

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Adjacent to one of the streams that run through the town, the house is quiet, private, and with the small pool and many places to dine al fresco, just a perfect delight. A short walk to a wondrous bakery every morning just adds to the pleasure. A very close supermarket also. Good owners too! Helped us out of a forgotten passport jam (don't ask).

Perfect in Every Way!

  • 5 of 5

The house was extremely well appointed, and included use of an outdoor pool, bikes, table tennis, and kayaks! The pair of ducks, and sometimes with many of their friends were a source of regular entertainment.

We can't say enough good things about this rental...from the delightful owners, to the great location, the lovely, private yard, and so much more.

Thank you Alain and Dominique, for sharing your phenomenal home. We can't wait to return!

This Place is Awesome

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at this property with another couple for four nights at the end of April and it was FANTASTIC, all the pictures shown on the website are absolutely true. Everything about our stay was perfect: Alain and Dominique were great to work with and very accommodating; L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a fantastic town and seemed ideal for exploring Provence and the Luberon regardless if you are heading north, south, east or west; and the house, oh my! The house is situated just a short walk to the idyllic town and its wonderful Sunday market, restaurants, boulangeries, frommageries, etc and near a grocery store as well. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are wonderful, beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are very modern. Bicycles are available for spins around town, and there is a pair of ducks that delight in the outdoor space. You could not possibly find a better place to call home - we can hardly wait to return.
