From the pool and its deck, the panorama is very particular.
The veranda, with its hammocks and b-b-q, as well as a large terrace shaded in part by the granites behind the house, are the main gathering areas.
The large and tastefully decorated living room welcomes you to read a book, watch TV or just to relax. When it is cold, its beautiful wood-stove creates a cozy atmosphere. There is also a yoga-carpet and a wonderful Buddha.
I have been praised by Chefs (as stated in the tourist comments), for my beautiful, large, functional and fully equipped kitchen.
The bedrooms, each decorated with their own colors, have very comfortable beds.
An all-time favorite, during the summer, is the hot water outdoor shower.
The house's surroundings and the parking have all been modified to allow wheel-chair access.
The property includes a small vineyard, a little wood, an orchard and a vegetable garden where you are welcome to pick the season's fruit and vegetables.
Animal-lovers will fall in love with our dogs, two beautiful Abruzesi sheep-herd pups, Alina, a Weimaramer, and Poopy, a mixed-breed and the most gentle of all dogs. They can be fenced-in, upon request, to avoid any disturbance.
From the veranda, you can enjoy watching Monella and her daughter Stellina, two Sardinian donkeys.
Palchi No, a Sardinian Anglo-Arab and his companion, Monello, another Sardinian donkey, are at pasture a short walk away, and join us occasionally for an over-night visit. There are a number of riding-schools in the area.
Your pets are naturally more than welcome. I do however reserve the right to decide whether they will be allowed in the house.....
In the area, a number of restaurants, "agriturismi", including a vegetarian and a seafood agriturismo, offer a variety of local specialties.
Rena Majore Beach, with its fine white sand, is a short walk from the Tourist Village of Rena Majore. Other beaches in the area offer a great variety; sand, pebbles, rocks and cliffs are all within a short distance.
There is a beautiful swimming pool with restaurant, the Neulaghe, right in Rena Majore.
In the Village, you will also find a bar with a newspaper -stand, a gelateria (ice-cream store), a supermarket, a small grocery store and a pharmacy.
In-season, a doctor is available for private consultations.
In season, Rena Majore hosts numerous tourist activities, such a music and dancing in the Piazza.
For the young ones there is a playground, and a small circus passes through.
Archeological sites in the area include Nuraghis and Tombe dei Giganti, remnants from Sardinia's Nuragic Age.
In Santa Teresa di Gallura, a 15-minute drive, you will find many supermarkets, boutiques, bars and restaurants.
Thursday is market-day.
During the summer, every evening, the streets fill themselves with the Mercatino, the tourist market.
For nocturnal entertainment, the Estasis offers a disco for young people, and for the older generation, music from the eighties, in a marvelous outdoor
At the port, you may rent sailboats, rubber dinghies.
Daily outings to the Islands are offered on motorboats with lunch included.
Scuba diving is available.
It is a short 50 minutes ferry-ride to Bonifacio, Corsica, where the Emperor Napoleon sojourned. With its stunning fortified town, it is an absolute "must".
