Hidden away among the granites - Villa de charme with Pool, minutes from beach

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,829 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

Stazzu Conca Piatta is ideal for families and groups from 6 to 9 persons.

Immersed in the Gallurese country-side, it is however only a few minutes away from Rena Majore Beach and its tourist resort, and a short 15 minute drive to Santa Teresa, the area's main town.

Hidden in a granitic valley with perfumes of "maquis", its numerous tall trees provide freshness even in the heat of the summer.

From the pool and its deck, the panorama is very particular.

The villa, full of personal touches, is very spacious, providing you with privacy when desidered.

The veranda, with its hamoks and b-b-q, as well as a large terrace shaded in part by the granites in back of the house, are the main gathering areas.

In the large and tastefully decorated living-room, there is a large fire-place, a wood-stove, a TV and a CD player. There is also a yoga-carpet and a wonderful Bouddha. The living-room is also serves as a fourth bed-room, with its comfortable sofa-bed.

I have been praised by Chefs (as stated in the tourist comments), for my beautiful, large, functional and fully equipped kitchen.

The bedrooms, each decorated with its own colors, have very comfortable beds; two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds, and the last one has two single beds, which joined, turns into a very comfortable queen-size. One of the bedrooms has its own private terrace.

Both bathrooms have large walk-in showers; one of the bathrooms is wheel-chair accessible and had direct access to the bedroom.

An all-time favorite, during the summer, is the hot water outdoor shower.

The house's surroundings and the parking have all been modified to allow wheel-chair access.

The property includes a small vineyard, a little wood, an orchard and a vegetable garden where you are welcome to pick the season's fruit and vegetables.

Animal-lovers will fall in love with our dogs, two beautiful Abruzesi shep-herd pups, Alina, a Weimaramer, and Poopy, a mixed-breed and the most gentle of all dogs. They can be fenced-in, upon request, to avoid any disturbance.

From the veranda, you can enjoy watching Monella and her daughter Stellina, two sardinian donkeys.

Palchi No, a Sardinian Anglo-Arab and his companion, Monello, another sardinian donkey, are at pasture a short walk away, and join us occasionally for an over-night visit.

There are a number of riding-schools in the area.

I do have a surprise for our young guests......

Your pets are naturally more than welcome. I do however reserve the right to decide whether they will be allowed in the house.....

I live on the property a small distance from the house. ThIs allows me to take care of the garden and of the animals and oversee the property for your peace of mind as well as to provide you, upon request and schedule permitting, with cleaning service and babysitting.

I am English-speaking and will be pleased to provide you with assistance and any information needed, if you wish so.

Physiotherapy and massage are available on-site, upon request.

Numerous restaurants, "agriturismi", including a vegetarian and a sea-food agriturismo, offer a variety of local specialties.

Rena Majore Beach, with its fine white sand, is a short walk from the Tourist Village of Rena Majore. Other beaches in the area offer a great variety; sand, peebles, rocks and cliffs are all within a short distance.

There is a beautiful swimming-pool with restaurant, the Neulaghe, right in Rena Majore.

In the Village, you will also find a bar with a newspaper -stand, a gelateria (ice-cream store), a supermarket, a small grocery-store and a farmacy.

In-season, a doctor is available for private consultations.

In season, Rena Majore hosts numerous tourist activities, such a music and dancing in the Piazza.

For the young ones there is a play-ground, and a small circus passes through.

Archeological sites in the area include Nuraghis and Tombe dei Giganti, remnants from Sardinia's Nuragic Age.

In Santa Teresa di Gallura, a 15 minute drive, you will find many supermarkets, boutiques, bars and restaurants.

Thursday is market-day.

During the summer, every evening, the streets fill themselves with the Mercatino, the tourist market.

For nocturnal entertainment, the Estasis offers a disco for young people, and for the older generation, music from the eighties, in a marvelous outdoor setting.

At the port, you may rent sail-boats, a rubber dinghies.

Daily outings to the Islands are offered on motor-boats with lunch included.

Scuba-diving is available.

It is a short 50 minutes ferry-ride to Bonifacio, Corsica, where the Emperor Napoleon sojourned. With its stunning fortified town, it is an absolute "must".

It will be my pleasure to help you make your stay at Stazzu Conca Piatta, the vacation you dreamed of.

About olivia

I am Olivia. After having cruised halfway around the world, I chose to settle here in Conca Piatta, in the year 2000.

Raimund, my companion and physiotherapist, and myself, live in a corner of the property. We are animal and nature lovers. We take pride in taking care of the property, so that you can enjoy the beauty of surroundings and our animals.

olivia purchased this house in 2000

What makes this house unique

Lost in time......In a valley, surrounded by the perfumes of the maquis, oak trees and suggestive granits shaped by the weather since the beginning of time, Stazzu Conca Piatta struck my heart.....

As kids, we spent our summers in the Village of Rena Majore.

Fifteen years ago, after having roamed the planet, Conca Piatta put a spell on me...

...Where the soul finds peace....its spell is truly beyond time.....

"Very clean, really quiet...

  • 5 of 5

"Very clean, really quiet, in natural environment, really well equipped and nicely decorated. The house maybe somewhat hard to find the first time(which actually adds to the charm of the place).

Olivia''s house is beautiful. It''s close enough to the sea for easy access to it and far enough away from it for tranquility. At night there is total silence and an extremely beautiful starry sky. We were here last week with our kids and they loved it. As a hobby-cook, I enjoyed the kitchen very much."

Sardinian paradise

  • 5 of 5

Thank you, Olivia, for making us so welcome in the beautiful Gallurese countryside.

The house was spacious and cool on the hottest of days and the outdoor space was fabulous - lots of shady areas to escape the sun in.

The girls very much enjoyed meeting all the animals, particularly the donkeys and one particular dog! And they will never forget their special ride on your beautiful horse.

We absolutely loved our time with you and the many hours we spent in the pool and sunshine.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure having you as guests and your girls were a delight; Poopy misses them already. I am glad that despite the little problems we were faced with, you were delighted with your stay. You are welcome anytime......

Super vacances

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

"Splendida villa accogliente, arredata con gusto e passione, completa di tutto ed inserita in un paesaggio veramente unico fatto di rocce rosate, corbezzoli e mirti profumatissimi! La proprietaria è gentile e disponibile, e si adopera per farti vivere una vacanza mare - natura indimenticabile. Le spiagge, anche quelle più vicine, sono tantissime, selvagge ma pulite con un mare al top. Grazie Olivia!!!"

We are situated in the hills behind the Tourist Village of Rena Majore, on a country road between La Littighedda and Campo Rotondo. Once you've entered Rena Majore, follow directions for Agriturismo La Tegghia, and continue on for another 2 miles or so. You have reached your destination when , on the right side of the road, you see mimosas, a zinc gate and tall pine trees.

However, to make it easier, call and you will be accompanied from Rena Majore...

At Rena Majore, you will find a gelateria, 2 restaurants and pizzerias, 2 bars, 2 food stores, a farmacy, a tennis court, a large beautiful swimming-pool, a doctor and an ATM. In the summer, theme evenings take place in the piazzetta, with music and dancing. AA/NA meetings can be arranged. In Santa Teresa, you will find numerous supermarkets; thursday is market day. During the summer, the streets are taken over by the evening tourist market. Night-life lovers will get their fill at the Estasis, a beautiful open-air disco and piano bar, a few minutes from Santa teresa, out in the country. At the Port, you will find rubber boats, sailboats and motorboats for rent, as well as diving and organized outings to the islands. There is also a beautiful Wellness Center with swimming-pool, a few restaurants, bars and boutiques. Ferryboats leave for Bonifacio (an awe-striking fortified medieval town , built on a lime-stone promontory hanging over the sea), an absolute must!! The ferries to La Maddalena leave from Palau.
