Lively residential area, from which you can reach all the interesting daily (and nightly) highlights of Milan. It’s an ideal solution for tourists (because you can easily reach all the monuments and museums… and it’s not expensive like staying downtown!) ; it’s an ideal solution if you come to Milan for working or studying one or few months (since you have all public transports in your hands and you’re staying in a residential area); it’s an ideal solution if you come for exhibitions (since you can easily reach the fair ground , but you can spend the evening in the town). In half an hour you can reach the Duomo Square , The Scala Opera House, the Brera District, the fashion area Via Montenapoleone. You can easily reach : the district Isola (with restaurants , pubs and live music – Blue Notes), Corso Como (restaurants and pubs on fashion, nr. 10 Corso Como), the brand new Porta Nuova district (projects and buildings by architects like: : Boeri, Pelli, Kohn Pederson Fox Associates, Cino Zucchi, Pei Cobb Freed & Partner), Theatre Arcimboldi, Grassi, Piccolo Teatro Strehler. You can easily reach the following Universities: Bicocca, Bovisa, Statale, Cattolica and – if you are in the medical fields – the Hospital Niguarda , C.T.O. Multimedica, Policlinico, Mangiagalli. To reach the The New Fiera Milano exhibition complex located in Rho/Pero you can go by subway or by train (Passante – S5 –S6 – the train runs every 6 minutes ).
Hi! I'm Fausta, my husband's Luca. Since 1995 I have been working as official tourist guide of Milan: www.milantouristguide.net .I speak english, german, spanish. I'm quite used to get in touch with foreign people : this is what I love in my job, this is why I got the idea to rent our studio for touristic reasons. I speak english, german, spanish. We bought the studio in 2003, and we think it's the perfect solution , if you want to enjoy all what Milan can offer you, not living in the noisy downtown area. Furthermore you'll stay in a typical residential area, so that you'll have the chance to meet local people. The studio is located quite closed to our home, so don't worry : whatever you need during your stay, we can assist you.
FAUSTA purchased this studio in 2003
We live in Milan: very closed to the studio. The studio is located in a typical residential area , from there you can reach the center of the town
in less then 20 minutes, and you can meet local people : that's the best way to getting to know a country. When our children will grow up, the studio will be used by them to 'trying to live' by themselves: we feel sure about the area and the people living there!
The green colour in Italy is the colour of 'HOPE'. Everything in our studio is green... green and orage (the double bed-sofa): the colour of oranges, the colour that can make you feel happy. And we tried to furnish our studio with the same coluors. Lively and happy is also the greek park closed to the studio, where you can relax yourself reading a book, eating an ice.cream and observing 'the real italian family's life'. But in less then 20 minutes, you can reach the city-center, the Duomo, the Sforza Castle, the Scala-operahouse, the fashio district. In 10 minutes you can reach Corso Como and the brand new Porta Nuova district with restaurants, cafè, pubs, design and fashion shops, in less than 25 minutes you can reach the Canal Area (Navigli). Take into consideration that Milan is the second biggest town of Italy! In less than 25 minutes you can reach the Fair-ground Rho.Fiera / Expo site.
When we arrived and knew the railway is 50 m away it was sth we didn t expect and when Fausta told us about the kind of Hot Water device thats only siutable for the shower (electrical one, it takes about 1.30 hs to get hot) we told ourselves: can t be so bad; but day after day you miss the hot "instant" water. Leaving that behind, it s a really well located place, quiet neighborhood and well equipped studio, supermarket really close, a great coffee-shop/pasticceria near, Esselunga at about 4 blocks. Recommended for stays up to 7 days. Fausta is also a great host.
The studio is very good for one person, although there is an extra bed.
The metro station and tram is very close and the area is quiet.
The owner is "molto gentile" and halpful :)
"Good apartment.Althought it''s not the center, but very good connected by public transport with all the sights and interesting places.Price is the best in Milan!Besides there is a supermarket nearby.Everything perfect for me!"
"The apartment is not far from the Centrale and Duomo. The metro, tram and bus are near and easy to use. The apartment was clean ant tidy and everything for living was there. It''s perfect for a couple, but me and my two girlfriends got along fine there. It''s a bit small, but liveable. The owners are really nice and they left us some information-materials about Milano. We got the apartment on a short notice, 2-3 weeks in advance."
"The place was perfect for 2 people but not more. It was clean."
"This is a very nice and clean appartment, fully equipped in everything one can need during even a longer stay. One of previous guests mentioned is' noisy - I wouldn't agree. During our stay there were no noises from neighbouring appartment. The trains pass by, but for us it was just a distant, non-disturbing sound. The surroundings are OK, there are all facilities you can need, a green square with benches, a post-office, big supermarket, and, most importantly, good and frequent transportation to the center. When going with luggage from or to the Central Station, it's better to take bus 42 (low-floor) than tram 5 (old-fashioned, high-floor cars). The owner was very friendly and patient, she helped me a lot when organizing my stay and provided advice when I already got there. She was well in time for our arrival and departure".
