If you are looking to experience Italy in an authentic Italian way, this is the accomodation for you. It is large and spacious which the five of us appreciated. There is also a small outdoor courtyard with green space for those that like to sit outdoors.
Alessandra, the owner is wonderful for giving tips, directions, and for cooking a dinner for us in a true Florentian menu. When the taxi's were on strike she was amazing to find an alternate private driver to get our family of 3 to the airport for their flight home. We walked to the old streets of Florence in 20 minutes and we were fine with that. There are busses that you can take as well. We prefered to walk and felt very safe and comfortable. This accomodation is not in the hustle and bustle of the middle of Florence and away from the party noises of the city. If you are expecting 5 star hotel type accomodations , this is not for you. We appreciataed the uniqueness and the history of the aged updated building with all of Allesandra's great grandfathers work of art. He was a famous artist and the walls display his work. The floors have the original tile but the rest of the home has been updated to modern. The property is clean and has everything you will need for a long stay, we stayed for 4 weeks. Alessandra is very accomodating and will help you with anything that you request.
She speaks fluent English.
My husband and I recomend this rental.
We really felt like we were living as Italians by staying at Casa Schlatter. It was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all of Alessandra's help in getting around Florence. I would recommend this place to anyone planning on a visit to Florence.
A great place to stay. Comfortable and close to everything. Decorated with beautiful art. Alessandra welcomed us upon our arrival and provided a wealth of information. She was also available for further assistance thur texting.
I would highly recommend this VRBO to enjoy beautiful Florence.
Staying in Casa Schattler made our trip to Florence the best it possibly could have been. And Alessandra is an excellent host, greeting us w/food and wine! Casa Schattler is very spacious & the artwork throughout is fabulous! Alessandra showed us the best ways to get around and we loved the location being so close to the train station AND the convenient grocery right across the street! Alessandra was also so nice in helping us purchase some of our train tickets in advance. I would highly recommend Casa Schattler & would absolutely stay there again!
Casa Schlatter was a perfect fit for our group of 8. There was plenty of space for the 4 adults and 4 kids to relax after long days of sight seeing. We were able to put the 4 kids (ages 9-14) in one very large bedroom which they loved. The property was extremely clean and well maintained and filled with beautiful artwork.
We also loved having a grocery store across the street, and Gelatto as well! Very conveniently located to use the bus system and just a quick walk to the Campo Di Marte train station.
Casa Schlatter is located in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the local feel of this area. We enjoyed the bustle of the busy city center but then came home to this quiet neighborhood. There is a playground within walking distance that the kids loved. We walked into the center of Florence several times and it was probably a 20 or so minute walk. We also took the bus, which was crowded but convenient.
Alessandra was fantastic! She met us at the property and provided all sorts of information. She also went out of her way in assisting us when we made our reservation. I would recommend this property to anyone!
This is a lovely three-bedroom, three bath residence, with a large and impressive salon that was once the studio of the owner Alessandra's great grandfather, whose paintings hang on every wall. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen and a garden fragrant with flowering plants. It is in a quiet neighborhood outside the city center, but the Bus 17 stops conveniently close and goes to the SMN train station from which most of the historic center is easily walkable. Alessandra is a kind and helpful host and I highly recommend this accommodation.
take the motorway untill Florence, south exit, follow directions for stadium.
