Big Reunion at the Big Horn Lodge
The Big Horn Lodge was the perfect place for our family reunion. Plenty of space for hanging out and separate bedrooms and bathrooms for your own space. The large dining room and dining room table was great for sharing meals together. Carol and Amy were great to deal with... making certain all details were covered. Oh... and the location! A short walk to main street and all that Breck has to offer. This property is as described... nothing fancy, but big enough for everyone to gather and enjoy time together before hitting Main Street. We built some great memories there and we hope to have the opportunity to return again.
Awesome stay, great for big groups.
My group had an awesome time. Everything was as advertised, with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Loved the place, great location!
Everything we were looking for!
We brought a group of clients to The Lodge and it worked out very well. Every client had their own bedroom and bathroom and my colleagues and I slept on the bunks. The shared spaces were wonderful. The living room with gas fireplace was where we spent most of our time, but we also decided to stay in for dinner the night we were there and eat at the family-style table. I haven't laughed that hard in years, while hearing of everyone's ski stories from the day.
The hot tub was also great! Incredible views of the Breck slopes - we could see the snow-cats working on multiple runs from the hot tub. Super cool and very memorable.
My biggest suggestion is this... since the rules are so strict about not wearing shoes in the house and the fine is rather steep, it would be nice to have a place to set your shoes/boots, as well as mats to wipe your shoes off on, by both the front door and roof-top entrance. We were very respectful of this policy, but it was made more difficult as there was a lot of snow and not a lot of options to place shoes/boots to let them dry (especially coming out of the roof).
All that said we all agreed we would love to bring clients back!
Wedding Party - 20 stars out of 5
Best VRBO I have stayed in and even better service. We had a full house with 26 guests, 8 being couples. Absolutely perfect for our situation. Each couple had their own bedroom with their own bathroom. It was a blast staying in a big house with the entire group. Could not have asked for a better weekend living situation. The rooftop patio with the hot tub added to the already ideal weekend stay.
Here's an example of the service they provided: We had 4 extra cars parked in the driveway, which broke a fire code. We did not realize this until we were out at the wedding in the mountains. We had no way of getting back to move cars. Amy, the manager of the house, came to the house and moved all of the cars to safe parking spaces. I have never had service like this before and she saved us potentially hundreds in towing costs.
Again, 20 stars out of 5.
