Why Rosa chose Boio

For my family this house has a great sentimental value. It was purchased by my great-grandfather at the beginning of the last century and has been passed down from generation to generation. After it is renovated I decided to rent it because I can not stay permanently for work and study of my children.

Beautifully renovavated home

This beautifully renovated and very comfortable home is located in a quaint little hamlet with incredible views. We used the cozy fireplace everyday. Kitchen is well equipped and very functional. Great bathrooms and even a washing machine. The hosts are extremely gracious and helpful.

From a picture book!

This house was exactly as described and was simply beautiful. Rosa and her brother were excellent hosts. Upon our arrival there was even a homemade tiramisu in the fridge waiting for us. This was a beautiful locale and we even enjoyed the neighbors and their beautiful dog. We would love to stay here again if we are able to return to Italy. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting, this is just the place for you.

Comfortable stay in a stunning, out-of-the-way, authentic setting

  • 5 of 5

We are so grateful for this listing. Our stay in Tuscany was perfect. The location feels remote, which was a plus for us, while the sites we wished to see were all within a few hours drive. For a family from the USA (2 adults and 5 kids) and a single friend from Australia, all of Tuscany felt within easy reach. We chose to do some castle hunting (the area has some gems) as well as see Florence, Pisa, Parma, and many other smaller villages. Of course, being less than an hour from Parma also meant that we were surrounded by wonderful local food options. We delighted in sampling the mushrooms, ham, cheese, and wine. Stefano and Rosa prepared the house to perfection and we enjoyed the wood fireplace, stone walls, and exposed wood throughout the house. Every window offered a mesmerizing view of the countryside. Hats off to our hosts!

"The house is very well presented and extremely comfortable. So pleasant to return home after long days exploring the area. There was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for the three of us. The location is quite a drive from the main highway, but the reward was the peaceful surroundings. We were well looked after by the owners."

"My wife and I and our ad...

  • 5 of 5

"My wife and I and our adult daughter stayed here for 6 nights in May.

A great little stone cottage, fully renovated, two bathrooms, great kitchen, fireplace for cool evenings, really everything you could want.

Don't let the road to this mountain top retreat put you off, it is a great spot with magnificent views over the fields and mountains of the surrounding countryside. The house is set in a tiny community of about 6 homes and one of the neighbours, Carla invited us in for coffee one morning and we had a great visit even with our limited Italian.

From the mountain top you can easily drive to Parma, Cinqua Terra,Porto Venere, Pisa etc.

A ten minute drive down the mountain in the other direction brings you to the small town of Solignano where you can get all your groceries, gas, bank etc.

Rosalba Strini and her family will make sure you have a great stay and her husband even drove up the mountain one Sunday with a liter of milk since we had mentioned that we did not realize all the stores close tight on Sunday and we had wanted to get milk for our coffee. Now that is service.

We would love to stay here again!"
