Beautiful Apartment in Exquisite Location - First Class Experience!
Chère Majella, it was a pleasure meeting you and staying in your lovely apartment! The apartment had everything we needed and it was very quiet, clean and comfortable. We were able to relax and rest after exploring the beautiful Quebec City. The house is located in an exquisite neighborhood surrounded by beautiful homes. One street down, there is a beautiful panorama of the river and Old Quebec. The heated pool made our children very happy and they loved playing there! The ferryboat is very close and can take you right into Old Quebec. Thank you again for hosting us in your lovely apartment! We cannot wait to to come back in the future - au revoir!
Such a comfortable home away from home
When traveling wth young kids routine is so important. This trip to QC city was made amazing thanks to the wonderful, spacious, comfortable accommodations we had here at this Levis apartment. The apartment is well kept, attached to the owners' own home and there is nothing that hasn't been thought of including a private outdoor patio set, clothes line to hang clothes, games in the house such a mindtrap, Twister, playing cards, etc. Access to the gorgeous above ground pool and play structure made coming home a treat every evening. The impeccable kitchen and outdoor BBQ allowed us to prepare our dinner nightly and even prepare picnic lunches for our entire 3 night 4 day stay. The hosts/owners even shared their lush garden vegetables with us (delicious lettuce and cucumber were a perfect complement). A Provigo and Dollarama are a quick stones throw away (10min walk). It's about a 12 min car ride to the QC city ferry but we found free parking and took the ferry without any problems. There is a lovely splash pad on the grounds of the ferry terminal so bring the kids' swimsuits if the weather is gorgeous. Overall, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Wished it was even closer to the ferry terminal but the pool, the hosts' hospitality and the quality of the apartment more than made the 12-15min drive worth it. Esp for our young kids. As an aside we did the whale watching tour from Riviere Du Loup, QC and it was less than 2 hrs drive from Levis on the south shore. We saw belugas, minke whales, & seals and I found no need to head all the way to Tadoussac on the north Shore. Another plus for staying in Levis.
Merci pour votre belle appréciation, vous êtes toujours les bienvenues.
Wonderful and authentic
Maella and Danielle were kind and thoughtful. Property is better than pictured and notably beatifully lit. Swimming pool is heated And well maintained. Cot for fourth person is a little hard and had to get air mattress which Maella kindly inflated. Grocery and pharmacy within 5 min walk.
Best Way to See Quebec City!
What a great way to visit Quebec without having to deal with driving and parking in the city! Our hosts made us feel very welcome, but also gave us our privacy. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well kept. We really enjoyed the bike path which was accessible from the neighborhood and gave us easy access to the ferry and along Levis' waterfront. The Levis ferry was the BEST way to travel to and from the city. If we visit Quebec City again, we definitely would not hesitate to stay in Levis!
My Birthday Week In QC
I was a little reluctant to rent this place as it wasn't in QC or even on the Left Bank, it was suspiciously about half the daily cost of the units in QC, and the picture for the listing looked like a room in a retirement home. But, this was our FOURTH trip to QC and I was tired of the congestion and high parking fees around Vieux Ville. So I thought we'd take a chance. After driving 14 hours and arriving in the dark at almost 9 PM we found the property.and apologized in broken French to the owner Majella. At first I thought we had rented a garage that had been converted into a tiny apartment; fortunately that wasn't the case. Majella led us around behind his well kept house to a stairway which went down to a lovely VERY CLEAN basement apartment that ran the full length of his house. The apartment was fully equipped with everything needed including a washer and dryer! Majella told us that once on the bike path it was a 14 minute walk to the Traverse (ferry). We found out the hard way that couldn't be farther from the truth! The distance is more like 3.5 MILES and took us almost AN HOUR to walk it! Through necessity we found that if you stay on Rue Saint Joseph and head South you'll eventually see Rue Fagot (really) where there is FREE street parking and an access down to the bike path. From Rue Fagot it's a 10 minute walk to the ferry. About our third day there Majella offered me a beer and we conversed for about 20 minutes almost entirely in French as Majella speaks VERY LITTLE if any English. Given its size, its amenities, its cleanliness, and its location I would hesitate to rent this place again on my next trip to the BEAUTIFUL city of Quebec!
A perfect place to stay.
This is a LOVELY apartment, and the hosts are delightful and VERY helpful.
