Large 3 bedroom apt in central Budapest
On the second floor of a 19th century building, this bright and quiet apartment offers space and comfort for up to 7 people.
Please note: there's NO elevator in the building; second floor in Europe means two floors to climb up. Please, pack accordingly.
The apartment was fully renovated in 2010, keeping the original period doors and windows, and is equipped with many comforts, including free wifi and a plasma TV with satellite channels.
There are three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and dining room. In the master bedroom there is a convertible single sofa-bed that can comfortably host a seventh person.
The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, microwave oven, boiler, coffee makes, toaster, dishwasher, etc..).
There is a small, lovely park right in front of the building, with a children’s play area.
The apartment is conveniently located in the heart of Budapest, near Kalvin Ter. The Raday utca, with its many restaurants, design shops and coffee shops, is across the street.
A supermarket is 30 meters away, open 7/21.
The area is extremely well serviced by the public transport system, and the Danube River is just a few minutes’ walk, two blocks away.
The Great Market Hall, the Gellert Thermal Bath and the National Museum are close as well, while The Museum of Applied Art is on the very same street.
The house offers the comfort of a spacious and quiet place where to return after a long day touristing around, or after a nice dinner in one of the many good restaurants nearby!
Please remember that this is my real home and it's in a private building, don't do anything you wouldn't do in your own home. So far I've been lucky enough to have had fantastic guests! Nevertheless, I must give notice that any bad behaviour, drunkenness and/or disturbance to neighbours will result in immediate eviction from the premises.
I live in the same building, and I'm usually in charge for check-in and check-out procedures, as well as to provide guests information and help. However, it may happen that a house manager could replace me when I'm traveling. He's a long term partner in managing the house, and always up for new tips and tricks about the city!
The apartment is for the exclusive use of checked-in guests: no other person is allowed to remain overnight.
Final cleaning is included in the given quotation: extra cleaning, at the cost of 30,00 euros, can be arranged with the house manager.
I speak English and Italian; the house manager, who sometimes takes in charge on my behalf, speaks English, French and Hungarian. We will help you with any house-related necessity during your stay.
A deposit is not requested; however, please note that 100,00 euros will be charged for loss of key set, in order to replace all secure locks and keys.
Check-in is after 4pm, check-out before 11am.
When possible we are flexible with this schedule (if apartment is not booked the very same day), but we can communicate this flexibility only few days before your arrival.
You can leave baggage in-house during check-in/out day cleaning hours.
Linen and towels are provided.
If you are traveling by car: the city parking area is free during week-ends and requires payment on week days. Budapest has a very good and affordable public transport system, and you probably won't need use of a car. I suggest you take advantage of patrolled garages, of which there are two very close to the building (one in the very same street, one block away). The approximate cost is 10/15 euros a day.
