séjour magique en Toscane ...

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

When you are in Albinia, leave the Aurelia national road and go towards Manciano. Reach Borgo Marsiliana, and after 3 km you will arrive at a tournabout. Turn left towards Guinzoni. Go straight on for 2 km, then turn right; after 2 km you will arrive at Palmo di Terra!

Palmo di Terra is located 6 km from the Albegna River and 7 km from the Castle of Marsiliana. It is 20 minutes from the sea, with the pine groves and beaches of Feniglia and Giannella, while the Thermal Baths of Saturnia in the surrounding hills beyond our farm can be reached by car in 15 minutes.

Our proposal for a vacation in the Maremma includes seeing places you can’t miss, each with specialties to taste and remember.

* Capalbio

* Orbetello

* The Vulci Archaeological and Natural Park

* The Maremma Natural Park

* The Pitigliano area

High quality Tuscan cuisine at “Caino” and Pensione Laudomia in Montemerano, “Paolino” in Manciano, “Baldovino” in Orbetello.

Fish restaurants in Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano.

In August you cannot miss the numerous gastronomic feasts in all the villages of the area.

We suggest you a night bath in the Saturnia falls and a walk to the Templars’ cave along the Fiora river. In Capalbio you can see the Tarots’ Garden with its polychromic mosaics, designed by French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002), inspired by the Güell park in Barcelona and by the Monsters’ Park in Bomarzo.

You can also have a day-trip to the archaeological area of Vulci and visit the old Etruscan city and to Pitigliano, the tufa town. And if you like the sea, you can easily reach the Maremma Regional Park known as Parco dell’Uccellina , a beautiful park along the beach, and the islands of Giglio and Giannutri.

Maremma is an area extending from the southern Tuscany to the Lazio, until Civitavecchia: at the north there are metalliferous hills, with Massa Marittima, to south the cape of the Argentario, thelagoon of Orbetello and Tarquinia. Inside, towards the west, the natural border is represented from Monte Amiata that dominates surrounding and degrading hills towards the sea, until the Argentario, in correspondence of the two more southern islands of Tuscany Archipelago: Giglio and Giannutri. The coast, with little beaches of sand, is very beautiful from the naturalistic point of view. The climate is Mediterranean along the coast, while it traces more continental characters inside. On the sea in summer, thanks to the moderated ventilation, are arrived around to the 33°C. To visit: the Garden of the Tarocchi to Capalbio, the archaeological park of Vulci, the natural Park of the Uccellina, the baths of Saturnia, Pitigliano.
