About danila corinti

Hi, I'm Danila, as a person I’m dynamic (sometimes even too much), I love children, animals, gardening (if you decide to book your vacations with us you’ll see!), I love traveling and I love this job!

I like to meet people, to talk to them, and sometimes, why not, keep in touch! It is truly fulfilling when, after spending a vacation in one of our places, people get back to me and let me know that they have had a good time!

I can not always meet my guests in person (I divide my time between Rome and Tuscany, where we have a farm), but I personally answer to their questions, take care of their request and organize their sojourn. I’m glad when people decide to spend their vacation in our beautiful country, that I love so much, and I try to help them making the best of it!

danila corinti purchased this villa in 1994

Why danila corinti chose Capalbio

The villa is located on the farm Poggio Capraio, a 64 hectares estate. The place is simply beautiful and quiet, completely immersed in one of the most delightful corners of Tuscany.

It is set among forests of oaks and cypress avenues, and very close to the seacoast. In ten minutes driving you can reach the oasis of Burano, a WWF resort; classified FIRST among Italian beaches. History, nature, sea, good food, here you can find all this: a small corner of paradise in which to spend your holiday.

What makes this villa unique

The first time I saw Poggio Capraio I thought 'I found it!'. I did not know whether to be happy or scared. The place was really beautiful: an eighteenth-century farmhouse on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding hills, forests and the sea. However, the work to be done to restore it to its former glory was so much! Now that it is finished, the villa and garden are perfect and we look forward to sharing them with you. An holiday here is a feast for the eyes and the heart.

Excellent value for money

  • 4 of 5

We stayed one week at the appartment Lime Tree. We were only with 3 persons, but I would say that it can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people. In my opinion, the description of the location is correct: very secluded in the middle of nature. The photo's are very representative.

I would like to respond to some of the complaints given by other renters on Lime Tree and Sunflower (part of the same property, but each has its own private garden):

- yes, the last 2 km (2.5 km including the property access toad) are on a dust road (typical tuscan strada bianca), but it is easily accessible by any type of car. - we had no problems at all with insects inside the house although we kept the doors open all the time (all windows have fly screens)

- the equipment of the kitchen is simple but sufficient

- we had some problems with the internet at first, but the owner made all efforts to have it quickly repaired

I can really recommend a stay at this property, especially given the rental rate compared to other houses in the same environment, as long as:

- you are not afraid of dogs (they are nice and calm and do not bark at night but they are also quite big and eager for company).

- you are not expecting a see view or city trip experience

- you don't want to make phone calls all of the time (the GSM reception is quite poor, but the WIFI is excellent)

We went out to eat every evening and I can recommend Il Tortello in Pescia Fiorentina (less than 10 minutes drive, very good pasta dishes, simple but cosy and cheap), L'angolo di Capalbio for very good pizza and Tullio (also in Capalbio) for typical Tuscan cuisine.

Places you should definitely visit while you're there:

- Capalbio! The parking lot at the hilltop is quite expensive. Just park your car at the beginning of the village at one of the free parking area.

- Rent a bike to visit Feniglia (there is a bike rental station just before entering the protected area of Feniglia, no cars allowed inside the protected area !)

- Roman remains of Cosa in Ansedonia (entrance is free, except for the museum)

- Vulci archeological area: make the complete tour which ends at the small, but very beautiful lake Pellicone.

- Visit Pitigliano and take a hike through the Vie Cave around the village

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind review, we are sincerely glad to know that you had a good time with us. We don’t consider it just business, we live nearby, and the place is very dear to us. We think it is heaven on earth and take pride in providing a nice retreat for our guest. We are always delighted in knowing that they have spent a pleasant holiday and have nice recollections of their time here. Also, thank you for responding to the complaints about the insects, left by previous guests. On the hills you are bound to find crickets and light bugs, just not in the house! So thanks again for your kind words, hope to see you again!

Mauvais accueil

  • 1 of 5

Me ne scuso.

Casa ottima per compagnie numerose!

  • 5 of 5

"L''appartamento e'' mera...

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful, large, quiet, well equipped villa is one of the two parts of a semi-detached cottage, converted from an old farm-house. It is located within a large farm, called 'Poggio Capraio', in the territory of the town of Capalbio, on the top of an hill, few kilometers far away from the sea-coast.

Poggio Capraio is really a very nice place, completely immersed in one of the most beautiful spots of the Tuscan countryside, but at the same time, close to the sea. The plant 'L'Ultima Spiaggia', often quoted in the tabloids for his 'vip', can be reached in 12/15 minutes, but if you prefer a vacation away from the spotlight, the beach of the WWF oasis of Burano, always between the top 10 beaches in Italy, according to the Italian Environmental League, and annually awarded with the 5 blue flags (the maximum in Italy for water purity and ecosystem conservation), is at the same distance. The beach, however, is not the only attraction: a vacation in Capalbio is first of all a journey into the heart of ancient Maremma, where survive rustic atmosphere disappeared elsewhere. Nearby: the medieval town of Capalbio, set like a jewel among the rolling hills of his territory. Walking on its walls your eyes can get to see the sea and the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. Just a stone's throw from Poggio Capraio then there is the Tarot Garden (visionary, colorful work of sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle). A few kilometers away, in the direction of Montalto di Castro, there are the remains of the ancient city of Vulci with the castle (which is now used as an Etruscan museum) and the Etruscan-Roman bridge, work of engineering that will leave you breathless. A little further on you will arrive at Tarquinia, where guests can visit the Etruscan Museum and the frescoed tombs (Unesco World Heritage Site). Going inwards instead you get to Saturnia and its thermal baths and the famous Gorello hot waterfalls. And'll can visit the Monte Argentario, where, in addition to visiting the towns of Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, you can also reach the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago (Giglio and Giannutri the closest). Those who love food and wine tours can indulge themselves by following one of the many wine tours or get acquainted with the rich culinary traditions of Tuscany. Many restaurants, among many we suggest: Il Frantoio, Tullio and Maria in Capalbio, or Il Tortello in Pescia Fiorentina for a kitchen close to the Tuscan tradition. Many kinds of home-made pasta: Pici, tortelli, strangozzi, so much game, especially our 'crabby' ingredient, the wild boar. If you like seafood, we recommend Nobles Saints at the Polo Club Argentario, or VIVO, recently opened, is managed by a cooperative of fishermen and then ... only the freshest fish, and La Dogana at the plant of the same name, our favorite for the location (on the beach) and for the kitchen. If you wish to pratice some sport, you 'll can choice. On the beaches you'll can practice windsurfing and kite-surfing and at the Argentario you will find everything you need for all water sports, boat rentals, diving etc.. In the countryside around us there are riding stables, golf courses and endless trails for mountain biking. Getting to Poggio Capraio is very simple, we are in the countryside, but only a few kilometers from the Aurelia highway (though you can not see, itand most importantly, you do not hear it from us here). From Rome: Take the Rome-Civitavecchia motorway, then the 'Aurelia towards Grosseto and exit at Pescia Fiorentina (km.123) From Milan: take the' Highway of the Sun to the exit of La Spezia, then l 'highway to Livorno, exit at Rosignano, then the 'Aurelia towards Rome, exit at Pescia Fiorentina (km 500c.a). 4 km. from Pescia Fiorentina you'll be arrived: we'll give you all instruction.

Then you will only have to enjoy your holiday: be it rest (between the beach and the countryside) or super sports (choosing one or more of the many possible activities)'ll keep a good memory, I guarantee!!
