Cottage in absolutely wonderful location. Very well equipped. Communication with owner excellent. Would be happy to return
A couple of points to note: we stayed the middle of May and although the weather was wonderful we did find the heating a bit inadequate for our needs for the first couple of days. After that the cottage warmed up and was fine. The bathroom was immaculate, however the facilities not ideal for anyone with limited mobility.
Lovely dog friendly cottage in brilliant location.
Lovely cottage in brilliant location right next to the NT beach, coastal path, woodland and heathland walks. Dave met us on arrival, showed us round and gave us lots of useful advice. The history of the mansion and the estate, that the cottage sits in, is really interesting and their tea room sells amazing cake - 100yds from front door! Dogs loved all the walks and meeting neighbours. Just need to be aware the garden is not enclosed, the cottage is situated on the lovely, huge, open green, so need to keep an eye on dogs if let them out. Loads to do on the Peninsula and Snowdonia but we filled a lot of the week doing amazing walks from the front door. Would definitely love to come back again.
Lovely location, cosy cottage, fab green
Kids disappointed with lack of wifi, mattresses could be better and warmer heating next time would be brill, but enjoyed open fire, nice interior and friendly owner. Would like to return.
Peace perfect peace
Beautiful old cottage on very quiet private road with just a dozen properties spread around massive central open green space. Just few minutes walk down a short lane to arrive on Llanbedrog's fantastic beach - sunrise with the dog each morning and usually the beach to ourselves. Easy reach to many walks and spectacular views of the beautiful Llyn coast and countryside. Been before and will go again I hope.
A Hidden Gem
Paddock Cottage is a charming place set in beautiful tree lined surroundings with an abundance of wildlife scampering around.
The owner,Dave was very helpful with advice and information on the local area.
The cottage itself was immaculately clean and well equipped.
The local free to enter house and gallery Plas y Weddw is lovely and the cafe even better,we had the best coffee and cake of all the places we visited and it’s on your doorstep.
Llanbedrog beach is lovely too, very clean and has stunning views over to Snowdonia.
Another big asset is the Aqua beach bar which serves food all day.The food was superb and plentiful.
Paddock cottage is in a perfect location to drive to all the local beauty spots of which there are many.
All in all a tranquil place in an idyllic setting making for a long awaited restful holiday.
The cottage is very well set up and is in an excellent location. The kids loved being able to head straight down to the beach (and the ice cream shop). I would happily recommend it to friends and we will probably return ourselves.
On a recent edition of BBC's countryfile (Aug 2006), the cottage & idyllic setting formed the backdrop to John Craven's intro to the Llyn episode. Ideal location 300 metres to the sea, 100 metres to café, 300 metres to the bistro, 800 metres to pub & shop, everything is close to hand. Tucked away on the Llyn Peninsula, Llanbedrog offers the ideal base for a family or activity based break. Llanbedrog offers an ideal base in a picturesque setting and is close to the popular village of Abersoch with its trendy shops & watersports. The cottage itself is situated within the grounds of the Plas Glyn-y-Weddw estate, with its art gallery and café. It is especially renowned for its sheltered sandy beach (the most sheltered in North Wales) nestling under a steep rocky headland covered with picturesque heather and fringed by pine trees. The breathtaking beauty of the approach road has probably been painted and photographed more often than any area in this peninsula of unforgettable scenery
