A Lisbon Coast, luxurious, spacious apartment within a fully managed, child-friendly, condominium. It has a very large living/dining room and a terrace with a wonderful uninterrupted sea-view across swimming pools. The condominium offers security and tranquillity with a gate house that is staffed 24 hours a day and underground car parking (2 spaces) with direct lift access. The living large room is furnished in a classical style, including a double bed-sofa, with a formal dining area and sliding double doors to the terrace. The large kitchen is fully equipped and has a separate washroom and storage room. All three bedrooms are spacious and have fitted wardrobes with generous storage space. The master bedroom has a bathroom (with Jacuzzi bath) en-suite. The second bedroom has two single beds and the third combines as a bedroom and potential office with a double pull-out futon.

The sunny terrace is ideal for relaxation and outdoor eating.

Location & Access.: Very conveniently located near the main main Lisbon Coast railway line. It can be reached very easily by public transport by catching the airport shuttle to Cais do Sodre train station and from their by train direction Cascais. Get off at station Sao Pedro do Estoril and it's a 5 minutes walk to the condominium 'Casas da Bafureira'. Alternatively you can arrive by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 35 - 45 minutes (depending on traffic) by taking the A5 motorway until the end or by the more scenic marginal road along the river to Cascais.

Day Trips: The best way to get to Lisbon is on the picturesque 25 minute train ride along the river Tagus estuary. You can get off at Belem, which has lots to visit (Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower, Coach museum etc.) or go all the way into the terminal station Cais do Sodre and from there you can access the Lisbon Metro system. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the site of Expo 98 (Parque das Nações) next to metro station Oriente. It is full of attractions, Museums, Exhibitions, stunning works of Engineering and marvellous gardens.

Alternatively you can cach the train to Cascais and the from there a bus from the central Cascais bus depot (next to the train station) to Cabo da Roca and Sintra. Historic sites, which can be visited in day trips by car include: Mafra (Monastery), Batalha(Cathedral) & Fatima (Shrine)and the beautiful walled village of Obidos.

Golf: There are 5 excellent 18-hole golf courses and a further 2 9-hole courses nearby. Quinta da Marinha, Oitavos, Penha Longa, Estoril and Beloura constitute a varied and challenging variety of courses, which are all welcoming member Golf clubs with plenty of availability to receive visitors and constitute a contrast to the overcrowded Algarve Golf courses. There are a further 5 golf courses within 1 hour driving distance.

El apartamento es magnífico, muy amplio, cómodo, excelentemente situado y con unas magníficas vistas. Los niños han disfrutado mucho en las piscinas y en la playa justo enfrente. El entorno del apartamento es de ambiente residencial y de lujo. Además, hemos podido visitar a pocos kilómetros Estoril, Lisboa, Sintra, Palacio du Pena, Óvidos, Mafra, Nazaré, etc. Unas magníficas vacaciones combinando playa y piscina, y visitas culturales y a pueblos muy bonitos. No dudes que recomendaremos este apartamento si amigos nuestros van a Portugal.

The apartment is great, very spacious, comfortable, superbly located and with magnificent views. The children have really enjoyed the pools and beach front. The surrounding area of the condominium is an up-market residential environment. In addition, we have been able to visit within a few kilometers, Lisbon, Sintra, Pena Palace, Mafra, Nazaré, etc. A wonderful holiday combining beach and pool, and cultural visits and very nice people. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to our friends if they are going to visit Portugal.

  • All the bedrooms are decorated in a tasteful classical style. The main bedroom has a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath on-suite and very generous wardrobe space in a separate corridor leading to the bathroom and bedroom. The second bedroom has two single beds and and third bedroom doubles as a study/office with a double pull-out futon. There is a cot available for babies. Please note that for the cot clients should supply their own linen/bedding.

There are two outdoor pools one of which is for children. There are also indoor and outdoor play areas for children and a separate exercise/sports pitch. The apartment is readily accessible directly from the two underground parking spaces which are right next to the lifts/elevators.

High standard of accommodation

The photographs don't do this apartment justice. It is wonderfully spacious and furnished to a high standard. The complex is very safe with security men at the gate and controlled access to the block. Other residents were quiet and obviously took pride in their surroundings. Pool was always quiet with plenty of loungers and sun umbrellas. Parede itself is small but with a few nice restaurants. We particularly liked the one down at the beach.

The apartment is very handy for the train station and Lisbon is about 30 mins away.

Caiscais in the other direction is well worth a visit.

Would thoroughly recommend this apartment which is ideally situated if you are looking for a holiday where you can combine a beach and city break.

Great apartment and great location

On arrival, we were amazed by the size of the apartment and how nice it was. It was very clean and tidy. The pictures on the website of the interior were accurate but don't do it justice. The three bedrooms were all good sizes and the specification of the apartment is very good. There was plenty of space to spread out and the large living/dining room was great and very comfortable. The free wifi was a nice bonus.

From the large balcony there is a nice view of the sea. We drove to the numerous beaches, but one is definietly walkable. The apartment is within a development which has its own pools (pictured, but there is one for adults and one for children) and there is a small children's playground. There is a larger playground and coffee-shop across the road - a 2-minute walk.

The apartment is not within a bustling village or town, it is slightly set apart. However, if you have a car then this is not an issue at all. It is actually quite nice as it is very peaceful. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within striking distance.

We would definitely stay there again and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Beautiful spacious apartment

We stayed in this apartment in the first week of May 2011. We had a great time! The apartment is spacious, child friendly, well equipped and maintained. Everything that we needed was there and worked perfectly! The apartment has great views of the sea and the pools were fantastic for the kids. On the balcony you can enjoy the view and sunny afternoons as well. Also in the nearby environment there was a fantastic childrens playground and the trainstation is just a few minutes walk away. A nearby minimarket sells the best portugese bread ever! I would recommend this apartment to anyone travelling with kids! For me also very important was that the communication with owner was very prompt and effective. Really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic base for holiday

We have just returned from a 2 week stay, and have had a wonderful trip. The appartment is even better than the photos relay - there's masses of space, it is very well maintained and the pools are fantastic. We were a party of 5: 2 grandparents, a mum and 2 young children (4 and 7) and all were very well catered for. There are some great places to eat or to buy home made take away food very close by and of course it's only a few minutes drive to the beach. You could probably walk to the local one, but we preferred to go to Estoril beach. My children made friends with many children at the condominium, always a recipe for a successful holiday (!) and in fact my youngest still hasn't settled at school as she wants to return to the holiday in Portugal!

Returning to the flat, it really has everything and more that you could possibly need and we felt very at home. It was easy to keep tidy and clean with very little effort and with the sleeping area having an extra door, the adults were able to stay up in the living room without disturbing them. There's a lovely balcony to enjoy a morning coffee with a beautiful sea view and a great playground over the road as well as a small one by the pool. We couldn't have wished for more - and we would definitely return. Thanks for everything!!

Summer Holiday

Thank you Frank for letting us stay in your wonderful home, the location, the apartment and the facilities were all great. There was something for all of us, the children loved being so close to the beach, (thanks for the use of the buckets and spades). We used the pool everyday and it was an ideal location for sight seeing. Although we hired a car for our stay, one could easily stay there without a car as the train station was only a 10-15 minutes walk away. We have recommended the apartment to our family and friends as it was so good.

Great apartment for families

We had a great stay. The apartment was well suited for our 18 months-old boys, and the pool area was very child-friendly with the large children's pool and playground. There was also a large children's playground across the street.

The view to the sea from the balcony was great. The condo was overall very clean and well-kept, and also the area around the condo was nice and peaceful.

The train to Lisbon and Cascais was very handy, the nearest station just 5 mins from the condo. It was easy to travel without renting a car. Basic groceries etc were available within walking distance, but restaurants and bars were a train ride away.

Owner's Response: As the owner of the property I appreciate almost all that has been described about the property and the location. I would, however like to point out that there are several bars and restaurants at and near the local beach which is only a few minutes walk from the apartment.

The apartment is very conveniently located near the sea-front, the main railway to Lisbon/Cascais , as well as the motorway and coastal road to Lisbon. The nearest train station (Sao Pedro do Estoril) is 6/7 mins walk away, and the journey time into Lisbon is 25mins, with direct connections to the Lisbon Metro system. Cascais and Estoril are only a few minutes away by train. The location is ideal for those wanting a holiday that combines a city-break (easy access to Lisbon), and a leisurely sea-side break in the nearby picturesque coastal towns of Estoril and Cascais, as well as golfing, surfing, tennis and many other activities. It is 17 km from the fascinating historical town of Sintra, 26 km from the centre of Lisbon , and 28 Km from Lisbon International Airport.

There is a cafe, restaurant, mini-market, newsagent and other shopping facilities within a convenient walking distance of the apartment. There are also restaurants and bars at the local beach.

Cleaning Fee $101.63
Damage Deposit $358.68

Note that changeover day is Saturday during Christmas, Easter and the summer season, and is flexible during other periods and minimum rental period is one week. A monthly rate is negotiable n the low season. Payment details are shown in our inquiry follow up letter, copy of which will be provided on request. A 40% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. A £300/€350 refundable security deposit is also required, refundable within 2 weeks of return. There is a charge of £55/€65 for the cleaning of the apartment and a single supply of bed linen and towels. In the high season utility charges are included in the rent.

During the low season there will be a separate charge for the utilities (gas, water and electricity) according to real consumption for rents of longer than one month.

Payment via PayPal is possible with an additional charge of 3%
PAYMENTS can be made in Sterling, Euro, or US Dollars (at equivalent rate) and the full payment to clear owner's bank account 28 days prior to start of rental.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
