Lovely Spanish villa (reformed to a higher standard in 2011) situated in an idyllic setting, surrounded by stunning countryside, fruit and olive trees. Large private swimming pool (12m X 6m) is fenced off for those with young children. It has an outside bar/play area & Boules pitch, comprising a cooler for drinks storage, pool table and table tennis. Inside the property has air-conditioning and comprises 4 double sized bedrooms, 3 of which contain double beds and one contains 2 single beds. There are 2 well equipped bathrooms. One is an en-suite. The other includes a full size bath. The kitchen contains a large gas cooker with 4 hob cooking, a fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave along with all essential utensils necessary. The water is heated by Solar Power during the warmer months. The large lounge dinner has air-conditioning, leather sofa seating with TV receiving Sky. DVD and CD radio & recently installed Wi-fi connection. The lounge also has a log burning fireplace. The dinning table is large enough for seating up to 8 people. All-in-all a great place to relax and unwind or take a sporting break. There is also a good local tapas/pizza bar within 200 metres. Owners are onsite close for your convenience.

Nice villa, noisy dogs!
We have just returned from two very hot weeks in Villa Girasol. The villa and outside space is very nice, pool is beautiful, but it wasn't the most relaxing of holidays. The villa is listed as being in an 'idyllic setting', unfortunately it isn't. The two neighbouring properties are both nice and well maintained however lots of the surrounding plots of land have gone to ruin, some seem to be inhabited solely by dogs and hence lies the problem. At night all you can hear is barking, continuously, every night. The bedrooms have ceiling fans, not air conditioning, therefore if you close the windows to limit the barking you quickly overheat. During the second week it sounded if someone had opened a kennel next door! Whether we were unlucky, we were also plagued with power cuts and lost water for a day as well. Mark and Donna and nice and helpful, although when we mentioned the dog noise, it was a 'we don't really notice it' reply.
The problem that you suffered with noisy dogs can be explained. It is not normal. Although we are a little surprised by the comments having been told during the stay 'how peaceful' it was. The problem was completely out of hands when the main transformer in Moron de la Frontera caught on fire due to over-heating! There were 4 towns without electric from 7:30am - 9:00pm, however we did our best by running our back-up generator, giving electric to the villa at 11:00am. No mains electric unfortunately means no mains water. Once the biggest issue was resolved and we were back running on mains electric albeit through a temporary supply, further shorter power cuts ensued whilst the new main transformer was being fitted. This loss of power and further power cuts caused the locals to return to their homes in Sevilla, leaving their dogs alone. Obviously stressed, there were a couple of dogs barking although we didn’t find it to be obtrusive (the closest dogs are over 100 metres away). The guests only mentioned it on the second to last day. The electric cuts and the storms didn't help in any way regards the dogs, which are not neighbouring. Most surrounding plots are holiday homes used by locals in the summer periods only. Some don’t arrive until August meaning some plots look uninhabited but they are not. We can only apologise for the loss of electric and water, as we did at the time of your stay.
A perfect start to a perfect holiday
A delightful welcome from the owners of this lovely property got our holiday off to the perfect start. We arrived late to find Donna and Mark waiting with water coffee and a chilled bottle of wine and some nibbles.
The villa was well furnished and well fitted out. All the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Pool and tennis table kept our children almost as well occupied as the good sized swimming pool.
Within easy reach of Seville, Cordoba and Granada (a bit more of a drive), this was the ideal location from which to visit some of the most breath taking architecture and art that we have experienced. And that's not to mention the lovely villages nearby.
Mark and Donna were great and always there to answer questions or top us up with vegetables and fruit from their garden. The only downside was having to leave after two hugely enjoyable weeks. We would highly recommend.

"Nice, spacy house with all the things one needs, swimming pool, friendly, helpful owners, delicious tomatos from the garden etc..... House is maybe a bit outlying but good connections for trips to Sevilla (40 min) Cordoba (1 hour) Ronda (1.15) and Sea (1.15). We had no problems with noisy neigbours or dogs as some comments say, but there is some noise, what is normal because everyone wants to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful stary sky and drink a good bottle of rioja. Price/quality 5/5. Enjoyed our stay."
The accommodation is perf...
The accommodation is perfect, a nice clean villa, with a great swimming pool, in a great location (near to ronda and seville). We didn't expect so 'much' neighbours, and sometimes there was some noise in the morning, but we got used to that. And on the other hand, we could play our music as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone.
Mr & Mrs. T. are very nice and helpfull but very carefull about their villa as well. We were with a group of 5 boys, so that is understandable, but we had the feeling they checked us out now and then, and they came inside 'our' villa when we were sleeping (although it was 11 in the morning, and we didn't clean on the veranda yet). They probably had the feeling we would brake something or leave everything dirty.
Next to this one of their dads lives on the ground as well, that felt weird in the beginning, cause in the morning he sometimes walked on 'our' property for cleaning up and checking stuff out.
So we think the owners are very nice and helpfull, but for us it was unexpected that they would be so present. After all, it is a great villa, with perfect indoor and outdoor facilities (the tabletennis table, the bbq at the pool, and the outside fridge for example were very nice) and we had a great vacation here.

Je vous conseil a tous cette destination, j'y ai passé 1 semaine agréable avec ma femme, maison agréable, propriétaire sérieux, beau père super gentil et adorable qui nous apporté notamment des citron du jardin avec les oeufs de poule toutes fraîche. ont a manqué de rien, tout été la, maison propre piscine propre, coin assez calme, loin des agitations des grande ville. je n'ai aucun point négatif a relevé. Merci au propriétaire et au beau père. ont reviendras surement.
Very easy and quick access from the main AutoVia A-92 which runs from Sevilla to Granada. Fantastic wildlife especially for twitchers. Walking routes available close by. Also, villa in located on Washington Irvine tour route. Just 40 minutes drive to Sevilla Airport. Perfectly situated for all your sight-seeing requirements.
