Great location

  • 5 of 5

Nausicaa was great to work with. She arranged a car to pick us up in Civitavecchia where our transatlantic cruise ended. Antonio met us upon arrival and showed us around the apartment. He also picked us up three days later at 5:45am and drove us to the airport to catch our flight back home. Overall the apartment was comfortable and clean. We didn't spend much time there as we were too busy exploring the city. We only had to walk a few blocks to the Coliseum, had many cafes, gelato places and grocery shops close by. The hop on hop off "Big Bus" tours was also just up the street. We had a great time in Rome!

Good location, but photos don't tell the whole story.

  • 3 of 5

Positives: The location of this apartment is very good. It is a short walk to the Colosseum where there is a Metro station (blue line). There is also a taxi stand nearby. There is a small grocery store on the next street which is an easy walk to the apartment. It is also about a 10-15 minute walk in the other direction to the Metro stop (red line) near the SanGiovanni Church. This was helpful when we went to the Vatican because there was no need to change Metro lines as the Vatican is reached by the red line. A man named Antonio was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. He let us in, and gave us an introduction to the apartment. He also agreed to take us to the airport at the conclusion of our stay but we decided to leave early so did not use his service. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable.

Negatives: The apartment is very small. Upon our arrival, Antonio explained that if the power goes out, we needed to use a key to open the wall box on the first floor and flip the switch to get it to turn back on. Within 15 minutes of us turning on the AC, this happened. It also happened twice more during our 5 day stay. The power always came back on immediately but it was disconcerting. Also, be aware that the photo of the living area makes it appear bigger than it really is. The curtains are covering the windows in the photo. When we opened them, we disovered that we were very close to the neighboring wall. It was a clostrophobic feeling. The fans provided (because the AC did not cool the bedrooms very well) were not in good shape. One of them could not really be used at all. The refrigerator did not get very cold and the "white" chair in the living area was stained/dirty. This is an old building in a historic area, so you should expect some challenges if you stay here.

Nausicaa was very good at communicating with us throughout this process. She replies promply to all messages.

Great stay

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed here on our first trip to Rome and had a great time. As we travelled from city to city, it was nice to have an apartment with a washing machine half way through our trip. The apartment is pretty basic, but has pretty much all that you'd need. We used the AC and were able to watch some television in the living room. If sharing this place with several people, you should know that the master bedroom does not have a door or any way to close it off from the rest of the apartment, though the second bedroom does. There is a lift to use for luggage, as apartment sits on second floor. Antonio's car service was very nice and convenient. Location was great; we were just a few minutes walking distance from the Colloseum and the metro station right behind it. Very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. Neighborhood is great; there are several delicious restaurants within walking distance to the apartment. All in all, a great experience in Rome!

Good value & location

  • 4 of 5

We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) spent 5 nights in this apartment during a very hot week in August. The apartment was nice and had all the necessary amenities (all in working condition although it could use stronger AC). It is situated in a nice neighborhood 10 min from colleseum with good restaurants and markets nearby. Antonio the manager and driver was very pleasant, thorough and helpful and his English was very good.

nice apartment for living with a baby

  • 5 of 5

We (3 adults and 7 month baby) stay at this wonderful apartments for one week. It is located near colleseum, 5 minutes even with baby stroller. Rooms were clean, all equipment worked well. Heating works perfect and it was warm inside apartment in rainy days. We are really pleased with Antono's limousine service, he took us from airport at car accommodated with baby seat. Also, he showed us nice place to it near apartments. Many thanks to Nicola, she impressed me with her fast response to my mails during trip preparation and our stay at apartment.
