What makes this House unique
Beautiful Normandy eco beach with amazingly big tides. Oportunity to pick up your own mussels, clams, oysters and fish at low tide. Very claen water, no currents, good for swimming. Great place to walk your dog or go horse riding or just sit in front of the house and enjoy the world go by..

Very relaxing and peaceful
The beach and it’s life we’re wonderful - the horses, the oyster men and wildlife were really good. The sunsets magical! Lots of walks in the region and great food to top it off!
Many thanks. I am glad you enjoyed it! See you soon again.
A very good place to spend holidays
The house is very conveniently situated, very close to the beach, yet protected from strong blasts of wind. The beach is sandy, nice for sunbathing and for shell gathering. The great place for funs of swimming and other watersports. La Plage is not far away from a small village with a fantastic boulangerie/ patisserie and a small market with local products. The house is spacious and comfortable for a family. It is a convenient accomodation for visting places of interest in Normandy.
I was happy to hear you enjoyed your holidays. You were great guests.
I hope I see you again soon. Best wishes, Joanna
Perfect location, wonderful beach by low and high tide
The location is amazing, only about 100m from the beach. With its fine sand it is perfect for sunbathing, digging and collecting shells. High tide offers the opportunity to jump into the waves and during low tide walks to the oyster and mussel banks 1.5-2km away can easily be undertaken barefoot.
The flat's equipment is simple, the gas cooker takes some getting used to, but there is easily enough space for 7 people in the house. The landlords living overhead are barely noticeable but very helpfull with any kind of question.
Thank you Irmgard for your kind review. You were wonderful guests and are welcome back any time.
Thank you very much for your very nice feedback. You are welcome to come back any time. We are aiming at improving the house interia and exterior all the time so, I hope, at your next visit you will find it even more pleasant.
La Mewa is an unpretentious house in an unpretentious village. The house is at the end of the road to the beach which is barely 200m away with sandy dunes stretching in both directions. Be aware that the beach is flat and when the tide goes out it can be for nearly a mile so prepare for so time away from the beach. It's a quiet beach and used mostly by locals or a few holidaymakers - and very little English is spoken. The house is semi-detached so be aware of neighbours in the adjacent front garden but that caused us no concerns. La Mewa is well-equipped for self-catering and we cooked at least half the time we were there. The spacious front garden is a perfect place to eat and watch the boats and fishermen travelling to and from the beach. There are two bathrooms with manual showers so require a bit more effort than electric showers. Joanna was present during our week and kindly booked a vet's appointment in advance for our dog for his worming tablet so we could return to the UK. We travelled from Calais which took 6 hours instead of the calculated 4 and a half, mostly due to queues at the motorway toll booths so the ferry is likely to be the better option. The house is clean and tidy but a bit dated so I can't give a 5 and four seems mean so I would like to give 4.5. In summary it's a great, get away from it all house and location, perfect for children, families and dogs. Lots to explore in the area and Mont Saint-Michel, barely an hour away, is a must-see.
Peter and his Family were excelent clients: very friendly and interested in The Local way Of Life eg. Fishermen and sea food pickers. Their dog was extremely well behaved and it was pleasure to have him in the house. Their review of the house seem to be accurate and I am happy to post it in the forefront of the reviews listing.
Great rental property along the coast
A week of fantastic spring weather helped our family of 6 enjoy a great vacation in Lingreville with excursions to other parts of the Normandy region enhancing our experience.
Our kids absolutely loved being so close to the beach. The short walk to the beach made it possible for our us to enjoy all the pleasures of playing in the dunes, in the sand and in the water and watching the sunsets. It was also fascinating to observe the local fisherman hard at work.
We would definitely recommend this property to families looking for a simple place to stay in close proximity to the beach.
Even though this is not a newly constructed property with all the luxuries of home, it was a great place for our family to stay so that we could enjoy lots of time at the beach.
