.The holiday home Villa Brunella is situated on the branch of the ancient Appian Way, behind a beautiful, ancient pine forest bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the municipality of Castel Volturno. In the center of confluence of all the major roads and highways in the Campania region. It was born as a holiday home of Mary and John Defeo Succurro, which subsequently attracted dall'amenità the area have moved to live in another house nearby, making available brunella villa to anyone who appreciates the quality and we want to spend your holidays . We have just returned from a fifteen day stay. This is a lovely little house. Clean, comfortable and adequately furnished. Brunella, Albino and Giovanni were most welcoming and responded promptly to any of our queries. Since we had a car hire, Giovanni took our main driver for a local driving lesson prior to picking up our car-hire. This was invaluable because as we found out, driving in Naples and the surrounding area requires nerves of steel. Forget the lane discipline of the U.K., in Naples cars blithely ignore the Highway Code, pushing and weaving in whatever direction needed to get to their destination in the quickest possible time! Not for the faint hearted!
We found the location of the house to be quite central - a fairly short, if hair-raising drive to Naples, Pompeii, Ercolano, The Amalfi Coast (not recommended on a Sunday since city dwellers head for the coast on this day and they race around the tightest of bends, squeezing past each other with little more than a hairs breadth between them - quite insane). We would recommend that anyone who intends exploring Naples do as we did - drive to Villa Laterno which is the nearest train station and get the train into the city. His would also work for visiting Pompeii etc)
One of the things I liked about this small town is the fact that it isn't a Tourist hotspot. The beach is a very short drive away. Brunella and Albino ensured we had sun loungers and an umbrella for the duration of our stay. We knew it wasn't a tourist hot spot because the minute we ventured through the gate to the beach one of the young attendants immediately showed us to the correct umbrella without us having introduced ourselves. I liked this area. It made me feel like I was experiencing the real Italy. People were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. We found a very nice
Pizza restaurant/carry out place to the left if facing the main road. The owners had a good command of English which was good for us. Their pizzas were yum. The little eating place at the entrance to the road on which the house is situated serves the most diving chicken and roast potatoes cooked on the open fire. It's really worth trying. Another favourite of ours for some of the famous Napolitian ice cream was Jean's Cafe located in the main town area by the beach.
A word of advice to anyone buying locally, very few shops accept any form of bankers cards though there is a cash machine in the vicinity of the beach. Would recommend
The 6 of us stayed at Villa Brunella for 10 days and found it to be very clean and comfortable and had everything we wanted. Giovanni was always available if there were any problems ( there were none) and if we needed any local advice. A car is essential and a visit to the fish market in Puzzuoli and the lovely town of Bacoli make for a lovely day trip. There is also a great pizzeria nearby called 4 Fratelli which we visited twice! Many thanks Giovanni for letting us stay at your amazing villa. Steve N

"Nice place. New, comfortable accommodation.
Szép hely, tiszta, szuperül felszerelt szállás, gyönyörű kilátással a tengerre. A környék csendes, a part rendezett."
