Spacious and Clean Apartment in Great Location

This apartment was located very close to the rail station and also one street away from some very nice bakeries and restaurants. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the most popular part of the seaside street of Promenade des Anglais, featuring the Negresco Hotel amongst others.

The entire apartment was clean, including the bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms. It has a large beautiful balcony and nice furniture throughout. The kitchen and bathroom had all kinds of necessities like tea, towels and shampoo available. There is cutlery, crockery, a kettle and a TV. There is also ample space in wardrobes for hanging clothes. Everything works very well.

There is one bedroom with a double bed, and there is a sofa bed in the living room. The sofa bed is very comfortable indeed, and I was surprised that such a good night's sleep could be had on a sofa bed.

The owner was very welcoming and flexible - we only stayed for two days, and not every rental on Homeaway accepts guests for short periods. She replied to messages quickly. However, I would prefer some way to pay by credit card or paypal throught the Homeaway website, as we had to fax over a signed contract and do a bank transfer which takes longer.

She has a man who is responsible for checking in guests that lives in Nice (unfortunately he doesn't speak English so there was some miscommunication between me and him as he spoke French too quickly for me to understand). It would also be nice if there was Wifi available to use in the apartment, but you can't have everything!

I would definitely recommend this apartment to my friends and family, and hope to return myself one day.

We were very impressed with this apartment. It is the best apartment we have ever stayed using homelidays: lies behind the Negresco hotel, in the Musicians district, is a highly selective and residential area. Architecture keeps the print of belle epoque. It is a spacious, large, equipped with everything you need including olive oil, mustard, coffee, slippers, umbrella, shampoo, detergent, hair spray, shower gel, pens, maps of all cities around Nice. There was even water in that coffee maker. Very attentive to small details. And the terrace is simply wonderful.!!

We stayed 18 days in France including 8 days in Nice and we managed to visit almost all the resorts around: Monaco, Cannes, Menton, Eze, St Paul Village, Marseille, Saint Tropez (with ferry). It was more of a marathon than a vacation.

With the owner Madame Bichsel communication was simple, accurate, being a person you can rely on. As a personal opinion is a very cultivated lady, intellectual with fine tastes: she has CD with the music of Bach, Mozart symphonies and such books were The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and Paulo Coelho. And the administrator Mr. Dominici is OK .

Happily recommend this apartment to anyone wants to visit Nice. 10 +

"Very nice, well located and well equipped apartment in Nice. Suitable for 4 persons (we were 2 couples).Large terrace, ideal to drink the morning coffee.We had a lovely holiday and definitely plan to come back to Nice again, and ideally to this apartment.Highly recommend this apartment!"

"We picked this apartment...

"We picked this apartment for it's location. We wanted to visit the surrounding area and Monaco by train and it was a short walk to the train station. We also found that a short walk in the opposite direction took us to the Promenade Anglais.

The apartment itself was well equipped and on a quiet street. There was a small supermarket further down the street and an excellent bakery just round the corner.

The best feature of the apartment was the huge balcony where we spent some very happy moments.

We would definitely stay at this apartment again."
