Why Liz and Bill Brister chose Fondren
My husband Bill and I live in a house behind this house. We purchased it for my mother-in-law who lived here until her death in 2011. We have renovated the home and use it for a guest house when our children/grandchildren are home.
What makes this House unique
Close to Fondren, close to downtown, near hospitals, Highland Village and some of Jackson's finest restaurants. This house has everything. You won't need a thing! Home away from home.

Great home away from home
Our group enjoyed the house. The owners were responsive when we communicated with them. They had the house adorned with lots of goodies that made you feel at home and also put Mississippi on Display. The rooms were spacious and all supplies were plentiful. The house has two living areas to gather in and a large deck outside that expands the living space. With a hint to nostalgia, there were bottled coke products in the refrigerator(nice touch). An added bonus is that there is plenty of parking area if needed. The location is central to just about anywhere you want to go in Jackson. I look forward to booking again next year.
Great place, great owners!
The house and location suited the needs of my group of four quite well. The owners Liz and Bill were very courteous and professional. The house was old, but cozy and inviting.
Excellent Choice in Jackson, Mississippi
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this home from 17 January 2019 through 27 March 2019 and on two earlier occasions. This, we consider as an excellent choice for a home to rent.
The immediate impression as we began our stay was that the home was immaculately clean and even with fresh flowers and favors provided. There were several interesting antique furniture pieces in great condition that we were invited to use. The kitchen was well-equipped with gas cooktop on center island and all appliances in excellent condition with most of them nearly new. The quality of bedding and quality of towels is outstanding.
The three-bedroom home is well designed to accommodate guests with a separate bathroom and with comfortable sleeping arrangement.
The home is also very conveniently located for groceries, pharmacies, hardware, banking, hair & nails, post office, and especially for access to Interstate 55.
The neighbors are great. We often enjoyed our walks in the neighborhood or occasionally over to Broadstreet Bakery but be careful for that last one is habit forming! An added bonus is that the owners live nearby and are most delightful.
We had an excellent experience and recommend this home highly. We fully expect to again rent this home when we return to Jackson for an extended stay.
Perfect for our holiday visit!
The house is lovely and our hosts were responsive yet unobtrusive. They also provided some awesome welcome treats! We had everything we needed and then some. Thank you!
Thank you for staying with us!
Beautiful, clean, well stocked with treats. When in MS this will be our spot. Owners Lovely!
An Excellent Choice
Again, we had a wonderful experience with this rental. The home is immaculate and very comfortable: we were impressed. There were flowers on the table to greet us as we entered, cookies in the cupboard, and even soda and juice in the refrigerator as we arrived.
The owners live nearby and are the most friendly and genuine folks -- they exemplify "Mississippi Hospitality" at its best. We also enjoyed being with our next-door neighbors.
The home is very well located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a deck overlooking a large well-maintained back yard and creek lined with trees.. The Crepe Myrtle bushes were in bloom to add color. A shopping area is located only a couple of miles away. We also enjoy walking for our exercise and the morning hikes along streets in the neighborhood were most appropriate. (Caution: The hike to Broadstreet Bakery is habit forming -- but most enjoyable.)
We recommend this as an excellent choice.
