At this village (among 300 in total for Greece) has been awarded the title of national beauty conservation spot, keeping agriculture as main activity. The old houses have been restored and traditional farming gives around the note according to seasons. There are two taverns with traditional Cretan cuisine, and a mini market with local products. Nearly all the villages around offer their own traditional-historical character and next village VAMOS, a large medical center, authorities, high school The region, and several restaurants, snack bars and shops, serving largely the community

Although surrounded by forest, the nearest beach KERA is 2.5 km in the distance, 3 km from the beach of ALMIRIDA or KALIVES.You can drive or walk at this distance by the side road by a forest Unique beauty of cypress trees, olives, wild plants and flowers.

Ideal for 2 families

 Estimated to be built 2 centuries ago by the great grandfather of the owner who at this place had the house and main store for all the agricultural products of his land working at the olive oil press mill.

Recently restored by sensitive architects who have incorporated into existing building elements (such as grindstones for olives in the bathroom) wooden bundles passed from the old oil pressure factory on the doors etc ... From this Fact giving a sense of history and tradition to the place.

The fireplaces, in the winter months give a warm feeling and the residence is appreciated even though the other seasons.

Magnifique

Une semaine de rêve

Très agréable vieille maison, très propre située au coeur du village, avec un petit parking dans un environnement magnifique. La piscine est idéale pour les enfants et les petits matins y ont été délicieux. La propriétaire a la gentillesse de fournir de quoi faire un petit déjeuner plaisant. Sa localisation a quelques kilomètres des plages évite la foule et le bruit et procure le plaisir d'une brise plus fraîche en soirée. Le village est coquet , bien situé pour visiter Chania et à moins de 5 kms de la mer. A noter : une taverne au bout du village avec une jolie terrasse, un accueil charmant et une cuisine bonne et aux assiettes copieuses; on s'y rend à pied à travers les ruelles. Un petit bar sympa à moins de 50 mètres de la maison. La voiture est cependant nécessaire car les commerces (supermarché notamment) se situent en bord de mer. Un tout petit commerce dans le village mais fermé lors de notre séjour.

Gite très bien situé et au calme

Nous avons passé 1 semaine fin avril dans ce gite très agréable, très au calme, dans un joli petit village très bien situé

La plage est à 3.5 km à pied en parcourant un chemin panoramique et magnifique

A noter un excellent restaurant dans le village, pas très cher

Le gite est bien situé, en tant que point de départ d'excursion

Piscine énorme et gite fonctionnel

Nous recommandons fortement !
