This apartment is in a very beautiful location. It looks out on a little park with a beautiful fountain. The entrance is very secured with multiple access codes, you need two plus a key to get into the apartment door.
The place itself is not big but there is enough space for two. The only thing that is missing is a place to put the contents of your suitcase. There is really no space for clothes. We left the suitcases on the glass table in the room. Putting the TV on top of a dresser with some drawers might be a good solution. The wardrobe in the entrance has hangers and some shelves that are too small for shirts.
You won't spend a lot of time there, but making breakfast with some croissants from the patisserie in the back of the building and the cooking stove and refrigerator is easy. You may have to bring supplies like pepper, oil, butter, coffee and tea depending on what your predecessors left behind. There are enough dishes, silverware and cooking tools for your petite dejeneur.
Pat the landlady is very accessible by phone. When the hot water supply went out she was available right away. We got the hot water back the next day. The bistro she recommended, Mesturet, is a great choice very close by.
There are two metro lines in easy walking distance and two bike rental racks right around the corner. I would recommend spending 8 euro for the weekly pass that allows you to rent a bike for 30 minutes periods for free. We went to monmatre, Quay d'Orsay, tour montmatre, Eiffel, all by bike with no problems.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.
This studio apartment has an ideal location in an attractive building and neighborhood. It is within walking distance of the Louvre, Paris opera, and other attractions. There are several inexpensive Asian restaurants nearby, particularly Japanese. The apartment was clean and ideal for two persons. We enjoyed our stay and are pleased we selected this accommodation.
Patricia is a very gracious apartment owner and her mother is a delight. Her studio apartment was very clean and well appointed. I did find in our rentals in Normandy and Paris that you need to bring your own bath soap. This apartment is centrally located, 3 b,Ockham to the opera house, easy walk to Lovue and d'Orsay.
I highly recommend this apartment and Patricia.
We enjoyed staying in this flat. It is in a great location for visiting the Louvre and Palais Royal. There are metro stops and plenty of quality restaurants nearby. It was a great value, and we would stay there again. Patricia made the process of arranging the rental very easy.
Super well located, in the very heart of old Paris, with good subway and bus connections. Pat’s flat is charming and beautifully decorated. It is perfect for 2 people to stay. The view on the little park is an amazing plus, as you really experience the authentic charm of Paris. The building itself is beautiful, quiet and well secured. The neighborhood is perfect : it’s beautiful, and there are a lot of grocery stores, nice cafes and restaurants very close to the flat. You can just walk from there to many fabulous places, like the Louvre, the Place Vendome, the Jardin des Tuileries… We really enjoyed not having to use that much of public transportation and going everywhere on foot.
Concerning the facilities in the flat : it's very nicely decorated and clean, the wifi is fast, the kitchen & bathroom are adorable and functional, and the bed is a huge and comfortable haven of peace.
Pat was very welcoming and flexible.
We will definitely come back next time we visit Paris!
My husband and I staying in Patricia's flat for 8 nights. Pat was super helpful from the beginning - very professional and responsive in booking and helpful and accommodating during arrival and check-out. The apartment is small but cozy. The bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom are no-frills, but all you really need for a short stay.
The location is really perfect - once you walk half a block to the mail road (Rue Richelieu) you can literally see the Louvre, so it's really a quick 10 minute walk there. There are Metro stops nearby, and the Opera (where the Roissy Bus stops) makes travel to and from the airport a breeze - maybe a 10 minute easy walk.
The apartment is on the second floor of a mixed residential/office building, and it is set in front of an adorable little park. The only negative to this apartment is that people often smoke in front of the building, so there are times when you definitely get secondhand smoke smell in the apartment. It wasn't enough to make the apartment or our clothes smell, but it was definitely an annoyance. Frankly, if you hate secondhand smoke, you probably should avoid Paris altogether.
Overall it was a great experience. Thanks, Pat!
metro station : Louvre Rivoli, Pyramides, Bourse, Opéra, Quatre Septembre.
Lot of bus lines.
Direct bus line from CDG Airport to the flat(bus called "Roissy Bus", about 40 minutes to the flat, down Opéra station, about 5 minutes by feet to go to the flat).
Lot of restaurants, shops, monuments... big touristical area. Studio flat located between Musée du Louvre and Opéra Garnier.
