Why Linnea McIntyre chose Upper Black Eddy
Peaceful and serene. Close to many restaurants and antiquing areas. Back of property has access to the towpath of the Delaware State Park canal with miles of walking and bike riding opportunities. Front of property has access to the Delaware River, great tubing and kayaking. We are about 2 miles from Ringing Rocks State Park, a very unique park with a large boulder field which "ring" when hit with a hammer!
What makes this Barn unique
Built in 1918, our house is a victorian farm house with a large wrap around porch. The barn was built around 1919.

Perfect for our girls trip!
This was the perfect spot for our annual girls trip. The barn is absolutely lovely and borders the Delaware Canal, which has this 60-mile footpath. Tons of precious towns, restaurants, antique shops, and wineries along the Delaware River. Linnea was so kind and helpful with suggestions and her place is thoughtfully designed with plants and flowers. It's this luscious landscape of beautiful flora! We'd definitely come again. Thanks Linnea!

Beautiful Renovated Barn with all the bells and whistles.
Our stay at the Barn exceeded all expectations we had. The place was absolutely beautiful and the perfect location to visit many restaurants, parks and close to anywhere you may want to visit in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. The perfect starting point. The grounds and accommodations were meticulously maintained. We had searched for a while to find a place that would accept our pets, and to our surprise we were able to find The River Rose. Waking up the first morning we were not only surprised to look out the kitchen windows and see a herd of deer, we found homemade muffins and local dark brewed coffee (our favorite) had been provided for us. It was if the hosts had done their research and provided all our favorite things. The Delaware River is in the front of the home with views from the bedroom window and the towpath behind the property. If you are debating where to stay, look no further, this place is it. Decorated with antiques, a full kitchen, two bedrooms, live plants and a beautiful outdoor space. Nothing has been overlooked. We can not wait to return and experience this gem in other seasons.Thank you for providing such a wonderful retreat.
Thank you for this great review. We are glad you found it perfect for you. Usually we charge extra for the deer, lol! We were sorry we were so busy we didn’t have time for a decent chat, maybe next time. Come again. Your dogs are adorable. Merry Christmas! Linnea and Kevin
A cozy home that was perfect for our family of four.
A cozy place to stay for our weekend in the Bucks County area. Loved being able to walk to the canal. Many thanks to the perfect host and for the treat of coffee and muffins to start our morning.
You’re welcome. So glad we had a place for your family could get together. Thanks for visiting us and leaving the barn in good shape.
A great place for a quiet getaway. The owners were very responsive, they had a binder that made finding things nearby easy and lots of fun things to do as a couple. There is a winery nearby called the Sand Castle, we recommend trying the warm alpine wine. It is dangerous!
Great area for antiquing and restaurants. Beautiful countryside. Relaxing.
