What a fantastic location! When the weather is nice you can can dit on the denk with great views. We saw red dear in front of us every day. Well equiped house and a very welcoming host, go there!
Amazing views from a very comfortable cottage
Great cottage, steps a bit tricky for old people, floppy banister pole a bit of a hazard, well equipped, clean, quiet, really nice. I would recommend for a couple or small family. Host was very kind and welcoming
There is no deck as stated in description. View is spectacular, as described. Heating and lighting very good. Bed is so so, but 2 pillows are not half inch thick. Hangers in closet would be suitable for children’s clothes, but there is no way you could hang adult clothes. Shower stall is tiny. Steps down to cottage are for folks steady on their feet. Living room settee and chairs have seen better days.
I read you review and have to ask firstly why it was done anonymously and why secondly the first three sentences contain three untruths, all of which can be photographically countered. That there is decking is self-evident. Two minutes ago I went to make sure it and the large wooden table and the equally large wooden bench on it had not blown away. The decking, table and bench were all there to the left and in the lee of the house to protect users from the our south-westerly wind and provide a sun-trap. Secondly, directly in front of the picture window in the sitting room are two clothes lines with two props for hanging and drying clothes large and small. Here we dry clothes outside, at least when we can, and the house has a drier. Thirdly, the shower basin is absolutely standard for the UK as is the shower room. It is not by any stretch of the imagination minute. I can provide comparative dimensions, if you wish.
I have talked to Homeaway about the inaccuracies in the review. They have told me initially to contact you to have them rectified. I would politely ask you to do just that.

The cottage itself was fine. The location is great. We had dogs and it was the first garden (We have been staying all over Scotland) that they def couldn't go in unless they were on a lead which was a slight pain but worth it for the area.
It felt like coming home when we returned each evening.
Stayed for two weeks. Not fitted out like a poncey show home, but everything was functional and to hand. Had more than just essentials. You didn't have to look hard to find things as they were intuitively placed. A great place to make your base for excursions into the surrounding splendid countryside. A bonus was that it was in a midge-free area. It was well managed by the owner who lived next door.
Take the motorways as far as the edge of the Highlands, then the A9 to Inverness. From Inverness follow the signs to Ullapool and from there to Lochinver and the north. Ten miles out of Ullapool turn left onto the single-track road to the Coigach Peninsula, Achiltibuie and Polbain.
