Why Brent Pichler chose Flecha Caida Ranch Estates
Our home was one of the original properties built in the Catalina Foothills. Stars such as Elizabeth Taylor looked at this home and considered it as one of her many possible locations. It is situated at the end of FingerRock wash, with the main house sitting on a 35' cliff. It was known as Owl Cliff because of the many owls that have taken up residency here over the years. The property was also equestrian property as is the surrounding area. There are hiking/mountain biking trails just outside of your front door.
What makes this Bungalow unique
While quietly secluded from the main day to day activities of city living, our residence is within 5 minutes from some of the most exclusive Tucson shopping plazas, restaurants and resorts. We loved having access to Sabino Canyon, Fingerrock trails to hike, venture and just enjoy a day outside in the beautiful Tucson climate.

Peaceful AND accessible
This quiet property feels out-of-the-way, but it’s still only a quick drive to shopping and hiking. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and functional. The patio is delightful for sitting, even when it’s a bit cold. The alcove with desk is great for overflow clothes and for working. No mountain view—you need to walk slightly uphill for that—but the landscaping is lovely. I wished for a bit more indoor lighting, in living room and at dining room table, because we read a lot. The owner is easy to get hold of, and responsive.
2 bedroom bungalow
I was completely delighted with Brent’s bungalow; it is clean and comfortable and the Southwestern aesthetics are very pleasing. It’s also very quiet.
I would return in a heartbeat.
Brent is friendly and welcoming—he always responded promptly to my texts/emails.
Sweet location. Quiet retreat.
Beautiful small bungalow. Perfect getaway. Only negative was the 7 am wake up yard service Fri am.
The view was beautiful and it was secluded but convenient to lots of activities and restaurants.
Loved the cozy casita!
Well stocked kitchen. Used the throw blankets and happy heater worked well. Very quiet and peaceful setting, would definitely visit again.
Really nice and very quiet
We really enjoyed our stay here in the Catalina Foothills. The bungalow was very clean; the kitchen was well equipped; and the small living room was comfy and great for visiting and hanging out. The house is part of a compound with another nearby rental (that looks out toward the Catalina Mountains, ours faced west, toward Tucson) and a much larger family home. The place is on a dead end street and is very quiet, as advertised. Still, it has quick and easy access to shops, hiking and downtown Tucson. It was perfect for two and would no doubt work well for four people. The porch space is great, even on cool January evenings.
To us, the only minor drawback was the front bedroom, which has a kingsize (two conjoined mattresses) bed that pretty much takes up the whole room, along with a toe-stubbing desk and stand-up mirror. So it was a bit risky going to the bathroom at night (when we used the bedroom as a "snore room"). However, the other bedroom is really nice, with suitably scaled bed, furniture and a closet, and with plenty of maneuvering room. Also, the large tv is located next to the dining room table in a spot that is not especially good for comfortable living room viewing. But we didn't watch at all so it didn't matter to us.
All and all, we were lucky to find this spot, near our friend's house in the foothills, on such short notice and it really made for a nice, comfortable stay in sunny, warm Tucson. Thanks Brent!
