This highly acclaimed, spacious, middle floor, 3 bedroom apartment is in a quiet chalet of only 6 apartments and is comfortable with a generous 110sq m of living space. We have 54 reviews all at 5 stars so you can be sure that we'll work hard to give you the holiday of a lifetime. You have here an opportunity to holiday in the famous Lauterbrunnen valley of 72 waterfalls. As you can see from the main photos there are no chalets to the side or directly in front of ours and it is not by the road so it is likely to be much quieter than some others! The chalet has easy access to local shops, restaurants and the local train/cable car services to the Alpine villages of Wengen, Grindlewald and Mürren, from which you can access the many hundreds of kilometres of walking trails and ski runs. It is also convenient for access to the major towns of Interlaken, Bern and Lucerne. Getting to Lauterbrunnen either by train or car is very easy. A car is not essential but there is a lockable garage available to you free of charge. Whether your choice is Summer or Winter you can be sure of lots to do, or just relax with the fantastic views from our balcony. It is fitted out to a high standard for discerning people. The living area has a full width SOUTH facing balcony for sun bathing or eating outside and captures the view of the snow capped mountains all year round. The master bedroom has a sloping pine ceiling and looks to the Staubbach waterfall as do both other bedrooms and kitchen. Free wireless broadband is available. The price, based on up to 6 people, also includes heating, cleaning, linen, local taxes and taxed rubbish bags i.e. there are no extras. Please note that smoking is not allowed inside. We don't use bunk beds, sofa beds or shower curtains so your stay will be very comfortable. All reviews are genuinely and independently written by guests so we don't show owner reviews adapted from our guest book or emails. The availability chart is kept up to date daily. If you have a larger group we will try to find a second apartment for you through our contacts.

Owners Profile: Rob has retired as Finance and Premises Manager at a large London school, so you can be sure that your money is safe and your contact with us will be efficiently and promptly handled. We have been with this website for over 10 years.

Susi is a native Swiss who speaks German and Swiss German fluently.

Some activities:

If you want to sky dive, or take part in white water rafting at the time when the river is running wild, then Lauterbrunnen has all this to offer.

Our chalet is very convenient for skiing and walking and is only 1 minute from the bus stop for the 3 minute ride to access the mountain transport. Buses are free in the ski season.

Susi comes from Switzerland so it was a natural development for us to buy an apartment near ski resorts and walking areas. We fell in love with this property and Lauterbrunnen immediately, as you will too.

What makes this apartment unique

The view from the balcony is a "wow" all year round. The chalet is warm and inviting and so convenient for everything. The balcony is warm for most parts of the year but the apartment is cool in the summer and cosy in the winter with underfloor heating. Summer air conditioning is unnecessary.

Dream life!

We'll, don't bother booking thanksgiving for the next 10 years or so, because I will have this place rented out for an annual trip!

We LOVED this apt more than any words could describe!! Rob and Helena were so helpful and personable with every question that we had. I feel like I have pen pals for life :)

The apartment is lovely and perfectly clean! I'm very picky and this place was spotless! The beds were very clean and comfy and the laundered sheets/towels smelled great! There wasn't a single bad view from the windows or patio and the kids (4&7)had a small "slope" in the yard to practice their "snowboarding."

The Lauterbrunnen apt is our new home away from home and we would love to stay again and again!

impressive from all points of view

thank you, Rob and Susi for allowing us to stay in your marvellous apartment. It was a perfect location for us from which to take day trips and a welcome space to come back to in the evening. It was well maintained, impeccably clean and very well equipped. The views from all windows were magnificent, we never tired of watching the waterfall and hang gliders! We made ourselves at home and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Be assured that we will be in touch again if we return to Lauterbrunnen in the hopes that the apartment will be available. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable, spacious and welcoming accommodation.

Stunning apartment in a fabulous location

Had a wonderful week. Chalet is superbly located for many walks, and links to cable cars, buses and trains. Stunning views from all windows, whether its waterfalls or snow-capped mountains. Great just sitting on balcony looking at views! Lovely walk into village along the river, to the waterfall and local campsite good for bread. We found Lidl in Interlaken best value for main shopping. Too many things we wanted to do in just 6 days. Took train to Interlaken for a day, went up Schilthorn, Schynige Platte from Wilderswil was a lovely train ride and walks at top and views. Cable car from Lauterbrunnen up to Grutschalp and level walk to Murren (1hr). Then fennicular up to Allmenchubel from Murren was good, and cable car down from Murren and bus back to chalet. Lots to do at Grindelwald. There was a summer toboggan at Pfingstegg which was great fun, and girls loved high ropes at sports centre which was above the ice rink. Ideal for a wet day. Favourite day was gondola at Grindelwald to First, walked to the lake Bulchapse (1hr) for picnic and back. We visited the Trummelbach falls - only take cash! We bought the swiss travel passes which definitely saved us money on transport. Didn't actually use the car that much. Overall a holiday we will remember for a long time, a stunning chalet in a lovely and convenient location, and Tina, the rep, who came to greet us gave us lots of advice and suggestions to help us. Will definitely be back to do the rest of the things we ran out of time to do!

Fabulous!

We were a party of four (two couples) and we all absolutely loved our stay here! The apartment is spacious, well stocked, clean and very comfortable. Rob was wonderful to work with ....several emails back and forth with various requests and questions before our arrival, and he was always helpful and quick to respond. Once we arrived, Tina came by and answered any questions we had and showed us how to operate various appliances. She also recommended the restaurant in the camping area which turned out to be wonderful. We had all visited Lauterbrunnen about 20 years ago, and stayed at hotels at that time. This was SO MUCH more enjoyable! Every evening we relaxed on the balcony for our happy hour and watched the nearby farmer lead his sheep back home. It was a sight we all looked forward to. The view from all windows is simply magnificent! I highly recommend this beautiful apartment and will stay there again if I am lucky enough to visit beautiful Lauterbrunnen a third time in my life!

Great vacation and location.

The Apartment Weaver was as advertised. Given the many reviews on the surrounding area, I will not bore you with the same glowing comments. Instead, I rather emphasize/re-emphasize how exceptional the interaction was with Rob (the owner) and Tina (property manager) during our booking/pay process and our stay. Rob was very patient/flexible when I was having issue with my bank transfer which lasted weeks, but he never wavered in the exchange even though he could have easily walked away from our reservation. In addition, he was alway courteous and patient while working towards a resolution. Tina, wow what a sweetheart and utmost professional...you could tell from talking to her that her job was more than just a job. She took pride in what she does and ensuring that we knew about all the beauty and opportunities to be found in and around Lauterbrunnen. We had a car so transportation to other areas were easy (and also dramatically reduced cable car/train prices that were very expensive). We also packed stuff for sandwiches and filled our water bottles as well as pre-made dinners to reduce preparation time since we knew that we would be tired but needed to eat well as well. Apartment Weaver was well-stocked with dishes, cookware glasses, mugs etc and even spices. In limiting expensive dining options, we were able to spend our money on the excursions -- Schilthorn, Grindelwald First--mountain karts and bicycle scooters, Bachalpsee, canyoning in Grimsel, rafting the Lutschine (both through Outdoor Interlaken--exceptional service), helicopter ride and glacier landing (Air Glaciers -- efficient, but not very "friendly" reception) and many other local activities such as hiking, strolling, just taking in all the beauty. ...wonderful time, life-remembering experience. Wonderful Apartment in Excellent Location

We had a most relaxing and enjoyable week in the Lauterbrunnen Valley thanks to Apartment Weaver. The location is perfect. Views from every window. A short pleasant walk into town and the train station. Absolutely serene and peaceful with the sound of cascading waterfalls all around. The apartment itself is perfectly laid out to comfortably accommodate 6 people in the dining room, living room, balcony. The two full bathrooms are modern and sufficient for three bedrooms. Clean and well-equipped. We couldn't have found a better place! And hope to return soon! Thank you Weavers!!

The Lauterbrunnen Valley is surrounded by the unspoilt natural beauty of the magnificent Swiss Alps including the Eiger mountain. Lauterbrunnen's cascading 300 metre high Staubbach waterfall, viewed from all bedrooms, becomes even more impressive when illuminated at night. The famous Trummelbach falls inside the Jungfrau are a short walk away. An easy 30 minutes' walk along the valley brings you to Stechelberg with access to superb mountain walking. 10 minutes walk in the other direction are the main shops, restaurants, banks and post office. There is also a yellow Postbus which takes only 3 minutes to the station. Interlaken is 15 minutes drive or train ride away with its wide variety of shops and lake pursuits.

Lauterbrunnen is a great base to explore the Jungfrau Ski Region. There are 45 mountain trains, cable cars, chair and ski lifts, with 210km of pistes for skiers, 100km of winter hiking and cross-country tracks, and 50km of sledge runs.

Golf: There is a qualtiy 9 hole course in Interlaken about 20 minutess drive away.

Ski: The prices in Switzerland are fairly comparable with UK and many other countries. For example here are the skiing prices:The three areas covering 213 km of pistes are linked with a single pass: 2 days about 130CHF, 6 days about 300CHF. Individual passes valid for each area: 1 day about 60CHF, 2 days 110CHF. All the resorts have ski schools offering both daily classes and private lessons in skiing and snowboarding. Ski hire is available in Lauterbrunnen.

The cross country skiing track is situated right outside our chalet.

Why stay in Wengen where apartments rent for about 50% more than ours when ours is so accessible to Wengen and Mürren?

Saturday is our usual changeover day but is flexible except at peak periods. The rental rates include local taxes for up to 6 people, heating, electricity, hot water, linen, towels, private garage, ski storage and some taxed rubbish bags! The prices on the contract will be in Swiss Francs (CHF) not Euros as shown on this website.

A 7th or 8th person will be charged @ £70 each per week or part of.

3 night bookings are generally to or from Saturday but there may be flexibility at non-peak times. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.

This spacious apartment sleeps 7 in comfort but a cot is available in bedroom 1 if required. The maximum therefore is 7 adults and an infant. The south-facing balcony leads from the living area. The fridge has a small freezer compartment suitable for ice-cream etc. A garage is available for 1 car and there is parking space for one more car. There is also a ski store. The apartment has been furnished to a very high standard. The price includes heating, cleaning, linen, local taxes and taxed rubbish bags. The cable TV accesses BBC and ITV channels and many others. There is also wireless internet connection and an iPod docking station.There is an outdoor pool in 1 km and tennis courts in 150 m. Spa facilities for that bit of pampering are available at reasonable rates at some hotels in the town. There are boat trips all year round from Interlaken.
