A place you'll come back to !
Vivian's home is staycation worthy. The home is charming, with a beautiful view, and a feels like walking into your own home. It's close enough to bigger attractions while still feeling away from it all. Cocoa Village is lovely and just in the backyard. It really is home away from home. Vivian - thank so much for sharing your home with us. Everyone on our trip LOVED it ! Best, Helms-Hamilton Family !
Beautiful 1915 home.
We enjoyed our stay at Strong Haven a 1915 river home. It was nice sitting on the porch and swinging. Plenty big for a family get together and great views. A short walk into town for excitement. The response by owner was very good on anything you needed to ask.
So glad you & your family enjoyed your visit. Strong Haven was made to bless families with special memories along the beautiful Indian River.
Amazing porch views!!
Our family had a great stay at Stong Haven. We spent the majority of the time on the porch - it truly has spectacular views! We could see dolphins in the river from the porch! The house was well stocked and everything was in working order. It’s an old house and it shows, wear and tear throughout. We did have an issue with ants in the kitchen but there were traps and it seemed to be better by the last day. Despite this, the AC worked very well, the grill had propane, the dock is well maintained and all the appliances worked. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of linens, towels, and etc in the house. The owner is very responsive too!
So glad that you enjoyed the front porch and views. Yes, the porpoises, manatees and birds are so interesting to watch besides the boats and occasional missiles.
Wonderful! Excellent view and great location overall! Close to everything!
It's an old charmer with lots of history, but with many modern conveniences. Vivian has added many little extras that make it a pleasure to stay at Strong Haven. You won't be disappointed.
My family had a great stay! We came down during spring break and stayed here the last part of our vacation for our wedding! It was the perfect place to get ready. Thanks for sharing your home with us during this special time!
A Grand House and a Great Location
The house, a mansion from the old South, is right on the Indian River. A road separates the house from the deck and dock, but it is not heavily travelled. The magnificent, large front porch can seat twelve adults and has a spectacular view of the waterway. There is ample parking and a back driveway for a boat trailer. The living room is large and comfortable and the big dining room table can seat eight. The house is perfect for a large group, plenty of room for everyone. Cocoa Village, Merritt island and Cocoa Beach provide plenty of things to see and do and there are many really good restaurants. The Space Center is a must-see and the Black Point and Viera wildlife areas are excellent wildlife drives. Our group loved the house and the location. I could not recommend it more highly. Thank you Bob. It was a pleasure having you and your family stay at Strong Haven. I hope you will come again another time and make more memories along the beautiful Indian River.
Watch space shuttle launches & visit Cape Kennedy Space museum, deep sea fishing boats at Cape Canaveral, short drive to theme parks in Orlando or relax on the beautiful beach & let the waves wash your cares away. Bike the scenic Indian River Drive or walk to historic Cocoa Village and the cute shops or catch a live play at the Village theatre. Dine out at the many nearby restaurants or cook fresh seafood from Canaveral fishing boats. Best of all, relax on the veranda and enjoy the view.
