About Brenda Ellis
We live in Golden, Colorado, and have enjoyed visiting Breckenridge for years! The kids have grown up playing and skiing in Breckenridge, and we are inordinately fond of the town and of our second home there.
Brenda Ellis purchased this Condo in 2014
Why Brenda Ellis chose Historic District
I researched buying a condo in Breck for two years before purchasing this condo. I believe it is in the best possible location, and is much more spacious and roomy than the average ski condo. We really enjoy being able to make the condo 'our own' - a comfortable, personal living space, rather than a homogenized hotel room. When we're not there, we hope you will enjoy it. :)

We had a great time at this property. The best thing about it is the location. At this property you re at the heart of Breck and can easily walk to anything in the city, as well as the lifts. Just up the road we were able to hit the trail and go for a hike. The property is in good shape and well maintained, even though the building as a whole has probably seen better days. This is a perfect property for 20-somethings ready to enjoy their time in Breck.
The location of this place is perfect. We celebrated the 4th of July in Breckenridge, and all we had to do was walk outside to be right in the middle of everything. The owner was great to work with and very flexible. Thanks for a great stay!
Breckenridge - Blazing Saddles
My favorite attribute of this apartment is the excellent location. Easy access to the shuttle and a short walk to Main Street. The inside was spacious, well furnished and clean. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity.
Great place. Great location. Great view. Great owner! Will definitely stay here again if I'm in Breck and I would recommend the place to anyone!
5 adults, 3 30 somethings, and 2 55, stayed comfortably for a week. Great location- close walking distance to gondola as well as Main Street. Well stocked with appliances and pots and pans and eating/cooking utensils. Nice bathroom and kitchen. Cable TV. Owner Brenda was very responsive to any questions we sent her way.
Amazing Location, Plenty of space, Great times
We had an awesome time at Blazing Saddles! The location was definitely the highlight - less than a block from downtown, skiing down 4 o'clock at the end of the day arrives across the street, and taking the bus to the lifts was very easy. The bus on the condo side of the building takes you to the Gondola/Peak 7, or the bus on the opposite side takes you to Peak 8 or 9.
We fit 5 people comfortably, and had no issues with any of the amenities. Brenda was a great host and was responsive to any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Ski-in, closest-to-town condo complex in Breckenridge! Enjoy our private apartment and the comforts of home in the heart and pulse of Breckenridge. During ski-season, take the shuttle in front of our building to the gondola, and ski-in at the end of the day across the street on the Four O'Clock Run. In the evening, relax in our comfortable, homey condo, with full kitchen facilities, two televisions, free WIFI, cable and Wii console, or walk 1/2 block into town for a selection of world-class restaurants and shopping. Whether you're interested in family-friendly casual or fine dining, Breckenridge has something to please. Check out 'Hearthstone' or 'Modis' for a delicious, upscale dining experience, or 'The Swiss Haven' (and Absinthe Bar downstairs) if fondue is your thing. 'Ember' has an adventurous, cutting-edge chef and chic flair, while 'Downstairs at Eric's' is a huge favorite with the kids, with good quality burgers and pizza and a large arcade full of vintage games. 'Bubba Gump's' is also very kid-friendly, and 'Crepes A La Cart' is popular with everyone for a casual 'grab and go' meal. Breckenridge Ski Resort, owned and operated by Vail Resorts, is a huge attraction in the town, and one of the most-visited ski resorts in the western hemisphere, offering beginner-to-extreme terrain spread across five peaks of the southern half of Tenmile Range. There are also many excellent cross-country ski trails within easy reach of town, including (my personal favorite) the Peak-to-Peak trail that begins near Peak 8 and ends at the south end of Frisco. There are very good Nordic Centers in both Breckenridge and Frisco. Opportunities for hiking and mountain-biking abound; like anywhere in the Colorado mountains, there are trails everywhere! In the winter season or during any of the summer festivals, the town center plaza is a hubbub of interesting activities. Around Christmas time you might walk those few steps into town center to find a manger scene with live animals and a full blown opera taking place; during the summer there are often bouncy houses decorating the lawn at the Riverwalk Center, or stages set up for free concerts in the plaza. Breckenridge is a fun, family-oriented town, with lots of high-end clothes boutiques, athletic gear stores and art galleries; 'Peek-A-Boo' toys is a great toy store, and don't miss 'Breckenridge Hat Company' for a fun shopping experience! If history is your thing, you will find much to interest you in Breckenridge. Unlike other 'ski towns' that were created around the ski industry, Breckenridge started as a base camp in 1859 when gold was discovered here. With over 350 historic buildings, Breckenridge today is the largest historic district in Colorado. The Gold Pan Saloon, established in 1859, still slings grub and brew at its Main Street location, making it the oldest continuously operating bar west of the Mississippi River. Just south of town is an excellent ice rink with plentiful open skate and drop-in hockey opportunities. The unique location of our condo, ski-in right next to town, will please skiers and non-skiers alike, and our comfortable furnishings with homey conveniences will suit anyone looking for a place that feels more like a private residence than a hotel room. We hope you enjoy your stay.
