What an amazing find!

Stunning traditional apartment with a all the mod cons! Couldn’t fault the location, we had the car but walked everywhere. Very friendly owners, who spoke great English. We’ll definitely be going back.

Beautiful French garden apartment

  • 5 of 5

Lovely clean historical apartment with beautiful French doors opening onto a sweet courtyard garden. Traveled to Caen with my 3 children aged 14 and husband. We couldn't have been more thrilled with this apartment! Bathrooms and kitchen modern and updated , all linens fresh and clean and white. The atmosphere of the apartment was as if you stepped back in time. It was magical! Location was great to visit the beaches and surrounding towns , nice restaurants within walking distance and very safe. We had a wonderful time I only wish we could have stayed longer!

"We very much enjoyed the room. The breakfast each morning was served in a very pleasant dining room and the fare was delicious, especially the homemade jams. We were very close to the shops, restaurants, and sites. We also very much enjoyed the little restaurant Le Petit Farme. Quaint atmosphere, wonderful food, and within 5 minutes of our room."

"A wonderful experience, attention to detail was superb. Very clean, excellent breakfast and Elizabeth was a charming hostess. We were allowed to use the owners garage for our motorbike and were given exceptional service and advice. Look forward to visiting again in the near future."

18th Century Mansion in t...

18th Century Mansion in the historical center of Caen. We were thoroughly delighted with our stay at this B & B in Caen. The house itself, an 18th century mansion, is truly magnificent and

beautifully furnished. Our bedroom suite was roomy, comfortable, and charmingly decorated and, after a busy day touring and travelling, it

was wonderful to return to the fresh fruit and bottled water that always

awaited us in our room.

Breakfast overlooking the rose garden with classical music playing softly in the background was always a treat - we were there for three

days and each morning there were differents breads, pastries and types of yoghurt and, important for us Americans, orange juice. The floral bouquets throughout the house were replaced daily and one evening, our

landing was lit by a small dish holding a flamboyant candle floating

among freshly-gathered rose petals.

Gael and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts -- Gael helped us with our WiFi connection and accompanied us to the local tram stop to help us out with local public transportation. Their recommendation of a restaurant was

spot on. We also appreciated the gated parking space in front of the house. We would certainly return to this B & B and recommend it without

reservation. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience.
