About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Total Seclusion - Total Privacy, Riverfront, No Neighbors, No Public Roads, Pet Friendly

Harmony Lodge is a totally secluded riverfront cabin near Stevens Pass, nestled one-tenth a mile in 50 privately-owned acres in a forested valley and above 2000 feet of Index Creek that magnificently cascades with waterfalls past the cabin. Harmony Lodge is amazingly scenic and is like Shangri-La with its serene awesome beauty, inspiration for the mind and soul, and quiet sounds gentle wind in the trees and birds.

There is a large view deck surrounding Harmony Lodge. On the deck on one side of Harmony Lodge is a 24-jet hot tub perched at the edge of the deck overlooking the forested valley and cascading river and Mt. Index, and on another side of Harmony Lodge on the deck is outdoor furniture and a large gas barbeque and view of the forested valley and cascading river and Mt. Baring.

Come, get away from it all and renew yourself, fill your senses with the wonders of nature, and have fun at the Harmony Lodge 1000 s.f. fully-equipped and furnished cabin with electric heat in every room and wood burning fireplaces that add beauty and charm to your experience. You only need to bring your change of clothes and food you wish to cook in the modern kitchen. Restaurants, gas stations, and grocery store are near, about a 10 minute drive. The modern bathroom has body soap, a shower, hair dryer, window with screen, attractive lighting, electric heat, and attractive towels, wash clothes, bath rug.

You can walk, hike, or snowshoe on the property. There is a large grassy yard enjoyed greatly by all. In spring and summer, enjoy the hammock at the water edge below the Harmony Lodge deck. Watch for salmon, trout, and otters.

The property goes up the side of a mountain, up the side of another mountain, and up and down the valley. The view of the mountains and forested valley, river with sparkling waterfalls, and sky is magnificent. On the property, have an up close experience of the stunning beauty of the old-growth part of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. You can share this one-of-a-kind experience with your dog. At one end of the valley is Mt. Baring, and at the other end is Mt. Index. Harmony Lodge was designed in 1929 by a renowned architect as a hunting lodge for senators and was used for this purpose until the 1960s, when it was purchased by someone who owned it until the mid 1990s. The current owner is now sharing this preserved facility and land with you.

Since Harmony Lodge is 1,000 s.f., there is lots of room to stretch out and relax, cozy in the furniture and enjoying the uniquely scenic views from the various sides of the cabin. Harmony Lodge has floor-to-ceiling windows with dramatically scenic panoramic views overlooking the river, forested mountains and valley, and sky.

Harmony Lodge can accommodate up to 1 to 9 persons. In the Harmony Lodge bedroom there is antique furniture and a wonderful wood-scrolled-framed queen size bed with memory foam that overlooks the cascading creek. In the Harmony Lodge 325 square foot great room, there are 2 couches on separate sides of the room near floor-to-ceiling windows that fold out to double size beds with 11-1/2 inch mattresses, and a chair that folds out to a child bed also with an 11-1/2 inch mattress. There is an attractive teak room divider for added privacy.

Children age 24 months and younger stay for free. We are pet friendly; your dog is welcome.

Harmony Lodge is available year round, and we are ready for spontaneous reservations.

Our patrons says that Harmony Lodge and property is unsurpassed for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, a special time with family and friends, for persons seeking solitude and inspiration, for a writer, and for a Stevens Pass ski vacation.

Our patrons say they do not want to leave, and we want you to have this wonderful one of a kind experience. We welcome you.

Quote by Destination360: 'The Harmony Lodge is a great example of a Washington cabin rental. Harmony Lodge is set in a wooded valley, and 50 acres of private land wrap you in privacy and isolation. There is an [2,000 foot] area of the Index creek that also belongs to the cabin, so you have this area for your own use. This is one of the more secluded rental cabins that Washington has, so you get the freedom and seclusion that people who come to enjoy Washington State travel will seek out.'

Why Rita chose Washington

The unique beauty of the area. The privacy and seclusion.

What makes this cabin unique

The total privacy in a lush forest setting is unique and said to be unsurpassed. There are no public roads and no neighbors.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The serenity here is beyond compare. Our favorite thing was gazing out the window at the river and listening to the water at night. Enjoyed the fireplaces and being in an environment of yesteryear with the comforts of home. Thank you for your hospitality and this secluded piece of paradise.

Stunning, secluded and everything you could want for a cabin retreat!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was everything we wanted! Beautiful scenery, hot tub, gorgeous creek to fill the air with a relaxing sound, plenty of sources to heat the cabin easily. We snow shoed out the door, we hiked in boots when we wanted, our dog was free range the entire trip. You are completely secluded in this amazing place! What puts this place over the top? Rita! She is insanely kind and obviously takes a large amount of pride in caring for this cabin and some others. Although we never called her we knew she was a call away. She had a scheduled stop in since we were there so many days and we were glad because we put the hot tub in sleep mode.. oops! We were so grateful to stay here and hope to come back soon! This cabin is for true nature lovers. This is not the place to hop on wifi or watch cable. This is where you go to reconnect with our true selves in nature. Take the kids, that special someone or just a good group of friends. We puzzled, we soaked in the tub, we played games, but mostly we just enjoyed nature. Do your soul a favor and book here, but don't tell everyone you know because we want to keep this treasure a little secret. ;) Thanks for opening Harmony Lodge to everyone. We will be back.

Accurate listing, adventure awaits!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at the cabin after our wedding. My youngest dog has never been more excited as he ran around the property, exploring trails and freedom. My older dog was able to navigate most of the property despite her hip probl. This was a fantastic retreat from the city. The grocery store in Gold Bar had everything we needed to stay in the mountains for a week. The sights were breathtaking, especially in the hot tub at sunset!

Harmony Lodge is exactly the type of tranquil getaway that all should experience. You cannot help but connect with nature while surrounded by this majestic paradise. The river is enchanting and the waterfall a rare sight to gaze upon privately. The escape from noise pollution is priceless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My family recently stayed the weekend at Harmony Lodge and it was very nice indeed. It's a wonderful little cabin w/ a great view and a ton of land to hike and explore. No complaints at all and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Quiet, Romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had been looking at renting this cabin for the last couple of years it was always booked. We now know why!! Amazing location, the hiking trails were a fun way to spend the day. We found our most romantic spot to be on the deck sipping champagne listening to the water cascading over the rock bed of the creek. Rita and Scott made the stay feel very welcoming and if we needed something they were only a text away! If you get a chance, go swimming in the icy (brrrr) creek and then trek back up the hill and sit in the hot tub. We used the old converted stove for baking and it's super quick with the tea kettle. We thoroughly enjoyed and are already looking at coming back in a few months.

Fantastic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a 2 night stay at Harmony Lodge, and my only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay. It was so easy to relax in this rustic and charming cabin (and amazing that we were able to have our pup, Nelli, with us too). We brought our cribbage board and played for hours in front of the grand fireplace, I gazed out over the roaring river while my husband played his guitar, we cooked delicious meals on the awesome Direct Action stove and enjoyed the view from the comfort of the well kept and clean hot tub on the deck. There was a break in the rain where we were able to get out for a couple of hours and explore some of the well marked hiking trails leading up the mountain right from the property, and down to the river just below the cabin. Rita is very helpful and accommodating and was a pleasure to meet. Harmony Lodge feels like a well loved family cabin, and we can't wait to book another stay; we definitely recommend this place!
