This modern apartment (with Wi-Fi) on Dream Hills 2, Orihuela Costa, just a short drive from Torrevieja & close to areas such as Villamartin & Playa Flamenca. It has 2 bedrooms (one double, one twin) with further sleeping space within the main living areas if required. Also, a cot is provided for a young child.
The property has been enhanced by enclosing an outside terrace so that it can be used all year round and makes the rest of the apartment more spacious.There are also 2 bathrooms & both have a WC/wash basin with one having a bath/shower, the other a shower unit - excellent for larger group sizes!
The kitchen has good facilities whilst the living area has dining facilities as well as a TV + DVD/Video. In addition to a balcony the property has a large, private roof solarium that's perfect for sunbathing or having a BBQ . Air conditioning units have been installed in the lounge and both bedrooms.
You can also use 2 communal swimming pools approx 50 yards away and though not Olympic size, it is great for a refreshing dip!
Getting about: We would recommend that you have your own car whilst renting this apartment. Whether you are flying into Alicante or Murcia, there are numerous car rental options,
Generally speaking fuel in Spain is a little cheaper than in the UK so take advantage and explore as much of the Costa Blanca as you can. Getting about is remarkably straightforward to an easy-to-follow road network although in order to assist with this, in the apartment you will find directions to some of the major attractions as well as essential amenities.
Enhanced features: We have enhanced the lower terrace / balcony so that it can be used all year-round. During the summer the windows can be opened so you benefit from the breeze but in the cooler months you can shut the wind out yet still benefit from the sunshine.
In doing this it also makes the rest of the property feel bigger. You can choose to eat on the terrace rather than the main living room or instead if you may prefer to have a bit of peace and quiet whilst others watch TV, you can get away from it. This will particularly benefit larger groups and people who rent the property for longer periods and therefore more likely to spend more time inside.
Although not a special consideration, the double glazing also offers extra security benefits whilst also helping to minimise external noise and retain heat (cool or hot).
NEW - we have now added Wi-Fi broadband to the property so that you can use your laptop / tablet / mobile (or other device) to get online during your stay. This is an optional extra but we are confident this will save you money versus the cost of roaming charges from your mobile provider.
I own the property with my wife and my in-laws. We all love the time we have there (we wish we could be there more often). My father-in-law is the one that is more practical and so undertakes a bit more of the DIY side of things whilst I tend to look after the property management (i.e. rental contracts, etc). As for my wife and her Mum, they bring a feminine touch to the place and so they're the ones who think about colour schemes and the things that make the place more homely and comfortable!
We now have a daugher and so the apartment really comes into it's own. It's so great to be able to take her over to Spain and know we've got our own safe space. It has also made us look at the apartment differently so in the last year or so we have started to make the apartment a little more child friendly.
All in all, we are all really passionate about renting our property out and take it very seriously. However, with that comes great responsibility when you think people are quite often deciding to have their only or main holiday in your property and are using their hard-earned money to pay for it.
Therefore, we go to great lengths to make sure the experience of booking the property is straightforward and hassle-free. If people are used to booking a 'package deal', going straight to the Owner can be a bit unnerving and so I think it is important to show this option is no less professional whilst also being more personal.
As for the property itself, we pride ourselves on continually improving it. Over the years we've spent a lot of time and money so that each and every year it gets better and the number of return guests is testament to the fact that we're getting it right.

I think the fantastic reviews say everything. We love our property but we're biased. However, the amazing comments from all kinds of different groups is amazing - it doesn't seem to matter how young or old guests are, whether adults only or with children, everyone seems to really enjoy not only the apartment but the area.
I would encourage people to use our property as a base as to only see the immediate area would be a missed opportunity - there are some great places to visit and explore within a short drive. However, if all you want is to put your feet up and relax then that's fine and we've made sure you can do that both inside and outside.
The apartment strikes the right balance of being homely without feeling like you're stopping in someone else's home.
We have air con throughout whereas most properties of this size may only have it in the lounge and/or 1 bedroom; we have units in both bedrooms and the lounge.
We've effectively extended the inside of the property by enclosing a terrace. You can open all the windows when it's warm but it makes this a space you can use all day and all year making it feel much more comfortable.
We now offer Wi-Fi Internet access to our guests as we know people want this.
Overall, the property is furnished to a very good, comfortable standard and we keep it that way. So when we are there, we always set aside time to do any repairs or touch up the paintwork, and generally think about how we can improve the apartment. When I think about how much it has changed in the last few years it is amazing and I hope to keep saying that for many years to come.

There are a couple of supermarkets close by which was handy. There is also the interesting "beach bus" into Playa Flamenca and all in all we managed really well without hiring a car. We divided our time between exploring the area on foot and sitting on the great solarium and generally just relaxing. Although it was January / February, most of the time we were very lucky with the weather.
Ian, the Owner, arranged for us to be met by Johnny and Juliana at the airport. That all went really well and they took us back to the apartment. They were a really nice couple who were very helpful and got our break off to a lovely start and they stayed in contact with us during the 5 weeks.
Everything in the apartment was fine - it was well equipped, very clean and was everything we needed. It was just the 2 of us and so plenty of space but I imagine that bigger groups would feel fine.
All in all the time went all too quickly but many thanks to Ian for making for making the whole process of booking etc run smoothly.

We took a short break in January and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well equipped and personally serviced apartment. The rooftop area proved to be the place for relaxing when not exploring the local area, and we enjoyed the warm weather in great comfort and safety. A car for a short stay would be essential but there are local amenities within walking distance, my husband was able to watch his favourite team in the local bar and managed make some new like minded friends.
Overall the service both from Ian and Janette who looked after us whilst there, could not be faulted.
The listing is accurate and the photos are representative. The roof space is huge with plenty of room for a large group to use and relax in. The indoor dining area was fine for us (just 2 of us) but a larger group would have to eat on the rooftop. We were pleased to see that basic cooking provisions such as salt, pepper, oil, ketchup etc were left by previous guests and not removed by cleaners which happens in some properties. If you are only eating in once or twice, the cost of buying these things is otherwise disproportionate. The property was clean and the owner provided great service - the info provided prior to setting off about the house and the area was top notch. We would recommend the property to a friend or relative. Local restaurants you should try - Nautilus serves great paella on the beach at Punta Prima and Punta Prima restaurant (further down the coast) served up a very good menu del dia - 3 courses + coffee for just 10 Euro. The local bar was very friendly and has Sky Sports etc. There is a well stocked ALDI very close by which we used every day for bread, wine, cheese etc. Very handy.
We had a pleasant trip over for a few days. Ian was great with us beforehand and so we knew what to expect. The key holder met us on time and we knew she was there if we needed her. A clean and modern apartment, we didn't spend much time there, but all the facilities were there that you would need for a longer stay.
First of all, the communication from the owner before, during and after the holiday has been exceptional and the keyholder met us on time. The key holder was punctual and very helpful. The apartment was clean and well maintained and with a layout that would suit most people. All of the facilities worked really well and we were all very comfortable for the whole fortnight.
We really liked the size of the rooftop solarium (marvelous !) for sitting unbothered in the sun. Loads of room to spread out either in the sun or shade if needed. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs.
With a car neither Torrevieja (town, harbour, beach, market on Friday) or La Zenia (beaches, shopping center) are far away (only a 5 minutes drive).
We would recommend this property to everybody, both young and old, and would hope to stay here again on any future visits to this area.

A short drive from Murcia (25 mins drive) & Alicante (40 mins) airports, this apartment is just south of the proud, historic & evolving Torrevieja (5-10 mins).
Whether you want golf (several championship courses within short drive), beaches (nearest 3km away, several within 5-10km) & watersports, sport (La Manga approx 1 hour), bars & restaurants (wide choice available on foot and within short drive), shops and supermarkets (plenty nearby), this apartment fits the bill!
If you wish to explore a little as well as classical Spanish towns such as San Miguel and Orihuela close by, bustling Murcia, historic Cartegena & stylish Alicante are all a short drive. The bustling resort of Benidorm with attractions including Terra Mitica Theme Park & Mundomar Marine Park is also just under an hour away and a must for parties including children.
This apartment with excellent facilities and prime location is perfect for a wide range of group sizes and/or ages makes for a first-class choice.
Golf: There are a wide choice of golf courses all within a 10km radius of the property. These include Villamartin, La Finca, Campoamor and Las Ramblas, This is supplemented by many more all within 1 hour of the property including those at La Manga.

Rates are based on up to 2 people staying in the apartment. If your group size is higher we will add a supplement.
If there are 3-4 people staying the supplement per week (or part of a week) will be:
LOW season = £10 extra (total not per person)
MID & MID/HIGH seasons = £15 extra
HIGH season = £20
If your group size is 5+ then the supplement per week (or part of a week) is:
LOW season = £20 extra (total not per person)
MID & MID/HIGH seasons = £30 extra
HIGH season = £40
We make these extra charges to reflect that larger groups use more electricity and water plus there is more wear and tear.
Advertised prices do not include the cost of the property being cleaned when you vacate. This is a fee payable on arrival to our key-holder. The price will be range between 40 € to 60 € depending on your group size and group make-up.
Wi-Fi is also offered as standard although Guests who do not wish to have this can have their price reduced. The price also defaults to £17.50 per booking but this is based on 2 weeks so if your stay is shorter / longer then the price will be adjusted to reflect this.
An exact price will be quoted when you enquirer. Advertised rates are based on week-long stays, if you plan to stay longer then where possible we will offer a discount. If your stay spans 2 'seasons' then we will adjust the cost accordingly to take this into account.
