Great little spot.
Good communication. Lovely courtyard just 10minutes walk from gare du Nord. Good transport links and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Bit small for 4 big kids, especially in this heat, but a great stay.
Great apartment in a vibrant neighbourhood
My family (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed at Greg’s apartment for four nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Cozy space which had everything we needed and was in a great area with great restaurants, bakeries, cafe’s etc. Also very close to the Jacques Bonsergent metro station which was super handy and not far from Gare du Nord and Gare de L’est. Thanks Greg and Driss!
Petite and Affordable Paris Apartment!
Overall we loved this apartment; the location was fantastic with the Metro a short 3 minute walk away. It's near Republic Square and the canal. Many grocery stores, too. Gregory met us and the check in was super easy. I will say that by American standards it is small. I feel it is best for a couple who would share the bed in the bedroom. I traveled with my niece who used the pull out couch. Once we pulled that couch out the space around it which includes the kitchen and table was quite tight. No big deal for us really as the bed is super easy to open and close so we'd close it first thing in the morning which made more space. My niece said that the pull out couch was comfortable however she is 16 with none of the aches and pains that older people can have. I found the bed in the bedroom quite comfortable and I have aches and pains! :) You'll want to keep most of your suitcases in the bedroom to make space in the living area. The shower was small but mighty, lots of great water pressure, everything we used in the apartment worked. Gregory is very good at maximizing the small space. There is no elevator which I was concerned about but I would just take my time going up and it was really just fine! The WIFI was spotty but we were there for just 4 nights and I had data I could use so no big deal for us. We didn't report that to Gregory; it could be as simple as rebooting the router. The apartment is in a courtyard so quiet most of the time. Sometimes we'd hear people talking from other apartments but never late at night. I would recommend a better fan for each room, we were there in the heat of summer although even without a fan in the bedroom it got cool at night with the window open. Overall, a great apartment for a great price!
Great location, close to metro, restaurants, park, canal
I stayed here with my 9 yo daughter for 8 nights. The metro is 1.5 blocks away, right next to a grocery store. There are plenty of restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood as well. Greg was very helpful and prompt to answer our questions.
Excellent apartment and landlord. Very well situated for all we wanted to do and see in Paris. Grég
Excellent apartment. It had all we needed and more. The bed and hide-a-bed were very comfortable. The restaurant right next door was excellent. Very quiet and tidy neighbourhood. Excellent boulangeries and grocery store conveniently located.
It was a pleasure to receive you !
Haven from Buzz
We liked the apartment it is small like a walnut but with everything 2-3 people will need. The kitchen has everything necessary including dishwasher and there is a washing machine in the bathroom. Something we appreciated enormously was the heated towel rack because it rained and we got wet so we dried clothes on it and it was great. The only suggestion we would make is to change the colour of the burgundy wall to a lighter colour like off white or cream so that the room feels bigger. The dark colour makes the room look smaller and crowded. The location was great on block away from the M1 and 5 metro lines and 5 blocks form Gare de Este. Shops close by for shopping and restaurants. We loved it and would go back. I wouldn't recommend it for someone that can't climb stairs because the apartment is on the 4th floor and there is no lift. The stairs were like a workout but we still loved it. There's a large open patio in the centre of the building that is lovely.
République subway station is just 2mn away.
Train station « gare du Nord » (Eurostar to/from Londres, Thalys to/from Bruxelles & Amsterdam) and train station « gare de l'Est » (TGV to/from Strasbourg) are also very close (10mn).
Others train stations (Montparnasse, Lyon, Austerlitz) are easily reachable by subway.
Airports (Roissy Charles de Gaulle & Orly) can be reach directly via Gare du Nord.
Several typical restaurants welcome you around.
The near Saint Martin canal is charming, don't forget the famous Hôtel du Nord (Arletty here said « atmosphere, atmosphere! »), The bridge of Amélie Poulain and sympathetic shops all around.
Many theaters have always enliven evenings.
