Quality accommodation in a quiet area of Cala Gonone, (Gulf of Orosei) Sardinia, in the province of Nuoro, along the eastern coast. It is located 400 meters from the Spiaggia Centrale (Town beach). A rennovated apartment, that sleeps 2 and up to 4 people,with the possibility of 1 extra small fold out bed and/or baby cot in the larger bedroom. Extra people possible either in the same house or very close by. The accomodation comprises of two bedrooms, both normally for 2 people each; kitchen-dining area;WC and shower room are separate; large private, furnished balcony, pinewood front, some garden in common. It is cosy and confortable for up to 4 people, yet big enough to accomodate 5, if at all necessary. There is a well furnished, confortable kitchen with everything you need to cook and have your meals. With TV, electric oven , fridge with freezer. You will enjoy a confortable outdoor shower for common use, normally with warm solar-energy-heated water. Nice spacious garden for common use. 1 private balcony with table and chairs on the east-side, plus a sundeck chair and a garden sofà with foot-stools/footrests, this adding space to the apartment and giving views of a pretty pine wood, and through this a glimpse to the sea and some view to the beatiful wild mountains nearby. The latter enhance the apartment, making it feel bigger and enables outdoor eating and drinking to be that bit more enjoyable. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday including shared barbecue area for the summer.

In town and nearby there are superb bays and beaches, all along our coast; a crystal clear aquamarine sea for diving, snorkeling and sailing; huge limestone cliffs slabs and overhangs; walks through fantastic gorges, mountains and coastal paths. On request and if at all necessary we have a storage room with extra toilette, just in case.

Weekly prices in the advert are at times meant for either 2 or for 4 people, depending on the offer taking place at that moment To enable us to be more precise, do get in touch with us , please. Especially if you happen to be more than 2 or 3 people the total cost may well be different.

About Sal.

I was born and grew up here in Cala Gonone/Dorgali, in Sardinia. I was able to travel quite a bit and I spent several years abroad, mainly in Europe and in Latin America. Thus, deepening some knowledge of foreign languages and cultures of other countries.

Sal. purchased this apartment in 1990

Why Sal. chose Nuoro

We rent out this apartment to make ends meet, and because of fairly high maintenance costs.

However, we also like to host visitors from other places, and to help them make the most of their stay while in Cala Gonone and Sardinia.

We particularly enjoy informing those who wish to get tips about our territory, culture, archeology, hikes, excursions by land and sea, and about our local cuisine and specialties.

What makes this apartment unique

It 's just our house, built mostly with our own hands, with my father's help; he was in fact a bricklayer. Also for these reasons I am fond of the house, and because it has got some garden, there is space around also outside the house, and there are naturalastic spots a few minutes on foot from the property; the sea and the mountains are just there. There is space around ......!

  • The apartment has two bed-rooms. The main bed-room has a private balcony and it is in front of a nice pinewood . The balcony, with a glimpse to the sea through the pine-trees, has table and chairs, plus double sofà with footrests. The second bedroom has a window onto the garden. An extra fold down bed or a baby cot could be added especially in the main bedroom.

"The apartment was approx 7 mins walking distance to the beach and the centre, good restaurants. The best gelatos were just 2 minutes walking distance from the apartment. The best beaches, Cala Fuili, Spiaggia Carte, Osalla, Marina Orosei were just 10 to 20 minutes by car.

The owner, Salvatore, is very helpful with all the information you need, he speaks several languages. He gave us all the tips about trekking and best traditional place to eat called Agriturismos. He

will help you to make the reservation in 2 Agriturismos which are

just 7 miles from Cala Gonone.

On our arrival we had a wonderful plate full of handmade sweets baked by his mother.

Overall we highly recommend this apartment to everyone.

"ne cherchez pas plus loin, pour des vacances reussies allez chez salvatore ou sa mamam, tout y est , acceuil (avec des petits gateaux,boisson fraiche), gentillesse, aux petits soins si vous avez besoin de quoi que ce soit, salvatore vous indiquera les meilleurs plages, ballades, resto agriturismo (quel regal)sa mamam s'inquietera pour vous, et tout cela sans etre envahissant ,ils vous laissent tranquilles. les appartements sont conformes et biens equipés. cala gonone est merveilleuse a voir au passage du tunnel ou du col"

Generally speaking follow directions for Nuoro, then take the exit for Dorgali-Cala Gonone. If needed, we will inform you about all directions you may need to get you here either from the airport or from the port, while in Sardinia. In any case we shall meet you personally once here in Cala Gonone to show you up to your apartment and to give you your keys.

Prices of the apartment are normally meant for 2 and if requested for maximum 4-5 people.

All included: eletricity,gas,water charges, bed-linen, bath-towels.We have other similar properties nearby; one is located in the same house and independent.

Central for all the best activities in Cala Gonone, you will find the accomodation a very good base for a pleasant holiday, both for relaxing and for sport activities in Sardinia. The owners live very close by, in case you need anything. Nothing is far away. A pleasant 10 minute-walk will take you to just about everything on offer in Cala Gonone. The beach, the bars, the restaurants, the harbour and the shops, and it is a few minutes by car from some of the most famous climbing areas, some of which you can easily reach on foot in 20-40 minutes from the apartment.

To get to some other beaches and bays it is at times easier by car.

Not just swimming and sun-bathing! We will give you useful tips and info. regarding various hikes, treks, excursions and activities that you can enjoy in our sorroundings: on foot, by boat, car-jeep, bike, kayak-canoe. Moreover, there is lots of free-climbing, archaeologycal and cultural excursions, and so on that you can enjoy here. The people of Cala Gonone are friendly,and the bars and restaurants offer a wide variety of excellent local cuisine and beverages at reasonable prices. Cala Gonone and its sorroundings offer loads for everyone. Its clean beaches, bays, and crystal clear sea are stunning, ideal for swimming, diving and snorkelling, and with superb walking and trekking in the wild mountain areas, amazing gorges and coastal areas. These combinations give Cala Gonone an interesting and alluring all round appeal. Whether you are swimming, sun-bathing, rock climbing on the sea cliffs, the many mountain crags, or in the mountains, the quality of the activities here, and the atmosphere of Cala Gonone can be quite interesting!.
