Great vacation home
Beacon Hill was a great location. Close to and walkable any Boston area. Public transportation, LYFT and UBER are easily accessed. Paul’s home is perfect for 2 but can fit 4 on a sofa pullout in the living room. I wouldn’t recommend 4 unless they are kids or have similar sleeping habits. The TV is in front of the pullout and none in the bedroom. There are adequate towels and amenities are provided. The bed is very comfortable and bedding is cozy and warm. The refrigerator has leftover butter, jelly, ketchup and other everyday items. Being on the first floor made entry and exit easy. Boston got really cold while we were there but the home is temperature controlled and we were always comfortable. The VRBO description is right on.
You’re a short walk to activities In all directions. We walked everywhere and only used transport to and from the airport. Highly recommend Hop On Hop Off bus for your first day so you get a lay of the land. Then hoof it after that. Boston is easier to walk than NYC. Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market is about 20 minutes walk away and have great eating and shopping. Freedom Trail is accessible from here too The area is quiet and safe. Whole Foods and CVS are 5 minutes away and have everything and anything you may need.
Comfortable and convenient
Very comfortable apartment with all the amenities needed. Nice size bedroom with large living area and up to date kitchen. Washer and dryer in basement. You will need quarters to use them. $2.50 for washer and $2.00 for dryer. Very convenient to have them. Location is great. Within walking distance to Boston Common and Freedom Trail. It is uphill so be prepared. Some restaurants and CVS within walking distance. Would stay again. Thanks.
Perfect place felt like home, great location
This Beacon Hill home was a great place to call home for our first time to Boston. The apartment is updated, comfortable and a perfect place to come back to after a full day of exploring Boston. Paul was so great at recommending places to eat in Boston and also Portland, Maine. The attention to detail made us feel welcomed and at home. The location was perfect...we walked everywhere. (which we totally recommend- driving downtown Boston is not fun and trying to find parking is expensive and frustrating)
The Government Center Parking Garage is close and a great option if you need parking. We paid for the 3 day fee, had access to our car but no in and out privelages. We only needed 2 days but the cost was still considerably cheaper than any other options.
A good apartment in a great location.....we walked everywhere and it was goof to get back and relax....apartment well equipped and suited our needs perfectly.
