This little slice of heaven has something for everyone!
"Nice location-very clean condo and filled with all the little items needed to make a "home" for the weekend. We loved the syrup on our pancakes and french toast!
The Walk in the Park guide book was immensely helpful! We had a great visit to Cadillac Mnt. and stunning sunrise-weather was absolutely beautiful fro mid-October.
Thank you for providing a wonderful home base for our Acadia Adventure!
Thank you , Christie , for the wonderful stay at the marina. SWH is a perfect location for exploring Mt Desert, and your property offers
waterfront views with excellent boats to enjoy. The unit was very comfortable, clean, spacious, and well located in the village of Southwest Harbor. We are so glad we could stay there for four nights. Thank you for leaving some paper goods and condiments, as well as coffee. Very thoughtful.
Beautiful condo with a lovely marina view. Convenient location near Acadia National Park. Within walking distance to a wonderful bar/restaurant, The Upper Deck, featuring outdoor seating overlooking the marina.
We rented the Bow unit from 10/10 - 10/17/2015. This was the perfect time of the year to come to this "quiet side" of the island! We did have difficulty in finding the unit originally as it is basically located on the back side of a wooden building by the dock. From the outside it was not what we were expecting but once we walked into the unit, wholly cow! We fell in love! You have nice views of the dock and boats and the sunrise each morning was spectacular! You have everything in this unit that you could want, except for a washing machine and dryer. There is a laundry facility in the same building a very short walk away but I suggest bringing lots of quarters and having patience as the machines take a very long time to wash/dry. The Bow Unit was truly a home away from home. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want. We cooked for ourselves at the unit each day and had plenty of dishes and pots/pans. The unit is stock with soaps/towels pretty much everything. We did have a problem with the hot water one of the days but Christie was very quick to stop by and have a plumber fix the issue. They label this side of the island "the quiet side"....it truly is so much better to stay here as it is a short travel via car to get pretty much anywhere on the island. I very highly recommend renting from Christie again and we hope one day to make it back to the island. Perfect stay!!!!! Love the Unit! Thanks so much for everything, Christie.
Was very accommodating although not for a wheelchair user. The owner lives upstairs and was very pleasant. It was very nice having neighbors next door and be able to share our experiences with. There definitely needs to be a bug light for the mosquitoes! There also needs to be some kind of screen on the front door or you just let in all the flies. Very enjoyable to get up and have a cup of coffee on the dock. We really did enjoy getting lobster right off the boat and they can even cooked it for us at the boathouse. I did not like that we did not have our own washer and dryer. Very comfortable and enjoyed for the most part.
I stayed at the Cannery condo bow unit for a week. I am a quadriplegic in a wheelchair but with decent recovery for transfers. I didn't try to cook as it would have been difficult in the kitchen. Fridge was double door type which was good. Microwave I couldn't reach. Christie was great about adding a bath bench and toilet seat with grab bars, both of which really helped. It became a tight fit for wheeling in bathroom but after I figured out I could scoot the toilet chair a few inches, access to sink was easier. She was honest that unit is not ADA--no room for legs at sink in bath or kitchen. So I knew before I went what to expect--very helpful. Her additions worked for me. She added a bed rail which really helped a lot. The condo was beautiful, open space. Floors were wood and easy rolling inside unit and out. I loved the dock area and ocean breeze. I would do it again in a hear beat! Well worth it!
My husband and I, along with our two college age daughters and niece, stayed in the Bow side condo over the 4th of July weekend. There was plenty of room and every room is comfortable and nicely decorated. Just like the pictures and description. We had everything we needed to cook up some fresh lobster. There is a grocery store a mile or two down the street and it's an easy walk to ice cream and shops in downtown Southwest Harbor. The free (donations only) explorer bus stops in Southwest Harbor and is a great way to see more of the island if you want to avoid traffic and parking problems. There are several wonderful trails in the area and Bar Harbor is about a 20 minute drive. If you are looking for quiet, solitude this may not be the place for you, but if you like to be near the activity and views offered by a working marina, this place is awesome. Christie was very responsive and friendly. We would return in a heartbeat!
This property is part of a working marina. You'll be able to watch the comings and goings of everyone from the local lobster fishermen to the yachtsmen from all over the world. There are fabulous views covering both sides of the harbor and just steps from your door you'll have full views of the whole harbor, including the mouth of Somes Sound and the outer islands such as the Cranberries. Enjoy the atmosphere and lifestyle that only a marina can deliver!

This is a working Harbor/marina environment, very exciting and fun and very close to all village offerings, but is not remote and serene.
