Mrs. Clean is our housekeeper! We pride ourselves on cleanliness & friendliness!
LAKE LIFE IS GOOD in APPLE SALLY'S CONDO! Please call Sally (859) 760-2511.
"This condo is offered for rent by an individual owner, not the Apple Valley Condo Association." Apple Valley is not in the condo renting business, and only a handful of owners choose to share their units with lucky guests, who usually return year after year!
The Lewin-Campbell family is proud to share our Lake Cumberland home-away-from-home with your family!
Apple Sally's S-3 condo is located is a private, gated community conveniently located at the ENTRANCE TO LAKE CUMBERLAND STATE RESORT PARK!
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Park your car just steps from your front door! Very convenient location for loading and unloading. Only one small step and you're inside! We love that our condo offers room right out front to park your boat for a limited time to load and unload.
We are close to the pool and playground too. Our condo is located in the highest point of the resort, offering a spectacular view of the resort and the surrounding hills. We have a seasonal view of the lake from the upper balcony, and a grassy (watch for grazing deer) and wooded view from the front.
Each level has a new LCD flat screen TV for your enjoyment.
NEW Energy Efficient Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning System for your total comfort and a trouble-free stay.
Our condo has been renovated from top-to-bottom and has been designed to reflect the warmth of Kentucky hospitality.
EAT-IN KITCHEN offers new custom crafted wrap-around solid oak cabinet with brazilian cherry (laminate but gorgeous) flooring. Whirlpool appliances and HUGE refrigerator with freezer large enough to accomodate a cooler full of ice for your day on the lake!
Our condo SLEEPS 6 comfortably, with NEW queen size sofa sleeper (upgraded with wonderful cloud-like gel mattresses), and second bathroom on the entry level.

QUEEN GUEST BEDROOM (also beach theme) upstairs connects to the shared bath. Each bedroom has separate bath access.
Both king and queen beds provide plush, pillowtop comfort!
We have also replaced and upgraded ALL interior (six panel) and exterior doors and windows, to maximize the spectacular views of the resort and the surrounding natural beauty of the Cumberlands.

APPLE VALLEY SALLY'S S3 CONDO:
Our condo is the best kept secret at Lake Cumberland!
The resort where our condo resides is a small privately owned community with a security gate, and most owners choose NOT to rent their units, keeping them as family summer getaways.
Apple Sally's Condo is located on 72 wooded acres in Apple Valley Resort, 145 State Park Road, just after you turn at the big 'LAKE CUMBERLAND STATE RESORT PARK' sign off Route 127.
Apple Valley Resort adjoins the property of Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. The resort offers a large pool with a diving board and lots of chaise lounges and umbrella tables. There are lighted tennis courts and a basketball court.
You will enjoy the beautiful covered picnic area (lights and paddle fans!) with family size stainless steel gas grills, located right next to the playground, pool and clubhouse. There's a CAMPFIRE RING too - and Rocking Chairs:)
You can hike to the lake and take a dip in the secluded cove if you are adventurous!
LAKE CUMBERLAND & BOAT LAUNCH RAMPS:
You can launch your boat at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, or the newly updated facility at Wolf Creek Dam . They provide access to two completely different sections of Lake Cumberland. For kayaking, or a quick spot to jump in the lake, go to Rowena Ferry Road - approx. 2000 feet from our condo's Entrance, just off State Park Road!
Ski-boat, fishing boat, pontoon, and jet-ski rental are available for your family's fun time just down the road at the State Park Marina 1-888-782-8336 and, or at nearby Jamestown Marina 1-800-830-5131.
LAKE CUMBERLAND STATE RESORT PARK:
We suggest that you visit the State Park lodge and pick up an activity/entertainment schedule. Most activities are free. They have just added a Disc Golf Course for your family's funtime - FREE!
Dining at the Lake Cumberland State Park Resort Lodge is a must. We recommend the buffets - and you can feed leftovers to the 'critters' at the lodge patio, overlooking the lake.
The breakfast morning view from the Lodge is awesome. Do not forget to watch the sunset from the Lookout Point, a spectacular view of the lake, and just a short stroll from the lodge. You are sure to see deer if you drive around the State Park at dusk.
Enjoy preparing meals in YOUR new kitchen, or enjoy the friendly service and county cookin' at the local restaurants in Jamestown, or at the State Park. Lake Cumberland is located in a 'DRY' county.
NEW TO THE AREA? Our condo has a 'Welcome Book' to guide you with activities and local restaurants. We even have a collection of menus to review before you go!
Most of our rentals come from referrals and our valued repeat customers. We love our condo, and you will too. Like family, you will feel very comfortable and right at home here. We only ask that you treat our condominium with the same respect that you treat your own home. We look forward to welcoming you back year after year.
We strive to offer the best Lake Cumberland vacation experience possible.
We do not allow pets, and our condominium is absolutely SMOKE FREE.
We do not rent to under age 25, unless with parents.

ABOUT LAKE CUMBERLAND:
Lake Cumberland has more shoreline than the state of Florida!
Lake Cumberland is 101 miles long and is one of the largest man-made lakes in the nation. Each year millions of visitors travel from all over the United States to enjoy the rugged beauty of its 63,000 surface acres and 1,255 miles of wooded shoreline.
Known as the “Houseboat Capital of the World”, Lake Cumberland is big, crystal clear and a vacation paradise for fishermen, boaters, and those that just like to sit back and enjoy the view. Russell County is home to four commercial marinas providing boat rentals and lake side restaurants.
WOLF CREEK DAM & THE NATIONAL FISH HATCHERY
Come face to face with the region’s underwater world at the exciting exhibit hall at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery Visitor/Environmental Education Center.
The hatchery provides over 1,000,000 rainbow, brown, and brook trout each year to the benefit of the American people. Also visit Wolf Creek Dam. Over 1-mile long, the landmark which forms Lake Cumberland from the Cumberland River provides hydro-electrical power and flood control.
50 Kendall Rd.
Jamestown, KY 42629
Ready to catch the big one? Lake Cumberland offers trophy-size stripers and hold the state records for brown and rainbow trout and walleye. For fly fishermen, the Cumberland River below Wolf Creek Dam offers some of the best trout fishing anywhere.
Hatchery Creek is located below Lake Cumberland immediately behind the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery. The creek starts from the cold water outflow of the hatchery and flows over 6,000 feet before joining the Cumberland River.
Hatchery Creek starts as a maintained park-like fishing area for the first 400 feet from the hatchery outflow, to a small waterfall. This is Upper Hatchery Creek where you can keep up to 5 trout, with no size limit. From the waterfall and downstream is Lower Hatchery Creek where sport fishing regulations limit anglers to artificial lures, and catch and release only.
Take your time and browse through our many antique, craft, and specialty shops in downtown Russell Springs and Jamestown. You are guaranteed to find the perfect treasure!
Drive to the Somerset Mall for a more traditional shopping spree!
Open Mid June – Early October
Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays – Open at 8:00 am CST until Sell out
The Russell County Farmer’s Market is located under a tent near the intersection of Highway 127 and Lakeway Drive in Russell Springs. A variety of healthy produce is available at the market throughout the summer. Locally grown vegetables are much fresher and taste better than what you buy in the store. Produce is picked daily and the Russell County Farmer’s Market offers real, unprocessed food that is ripened in the field and brought directly to the market.

Our family has had a love affair with Lake Cumberland since our children were very small. We used to stay at the Pumpkin Creek Lodge when it was only $18/night! We did not even know Apple Valley existed until we met another family at one of the State Park activities and they told us they were staying in a privately owned condo at Apple Valley Resort. That was the last time we stayed at the State Park Lodge. Apple Valley was the best of both worlds for us. Close to Lake Cumberland State Park and all the free activities, but peaceful and secluded in a beautiful wooded setting...and a security gate for our family's safety. So we rented an Apple Valley condo for years. Then one unseasonably warm March Saturday we decided to drive down to the lake just for the day. On the way home we stopped at Ralph Roy Realty to see if they ever had any for sale, and what-do-you-know, Ralph Roy himself owned one and it was for sale - The rest is history! Now at least four of our former renters are now owners, and part of the Apple Valley Family! You WILL fall in love with Apple Valley. We now refer to our S-3 unit as APPLE SALLY'S CONDO!!! :)
'Sally' Sharon Lewin Campbell purchased this townhome in 1989
Apple Valley is the only place we ever considered. We had rented there for years, spending every holiday and a week's summer vacation at Apple Valley. We loved the convenient location of our condo as it is rarely crowded and so easy to load and unload the car and the boat. We enjoy spending quality time with our children and grandchildren at Apple Valley. Relaxing around the campfire (there is a fire ring surrounded by chairs) and roasting marshmallows in the evening is a special treat for the children. It is so nice to relax and unwind under the stars and away from the city lights. The pool is rarely crowded and the playground, tennis courts, and basketball courts are right there too. Kids run around and parents watch, smile, and RELAX! We also enjoy a hike through the woods. Of course we always wind up at the lake and let the kids jump right in Apple Valley's secluded cove!

6/24/11-6/26/11 LAKE LIFE IS GOOD!
Haven't been down since the fall (due to boy's basketball games) and it always amazes me how gorgeous the lake is. I love very second of being on the boat. Kamden (6) skied for the first time, and she did great. Nolan got up as well:) We were here with Mom, Terry, and Neil. Mike, Kathy, Chelsea, Cassidy, Mackenzie and Tyson stayed in Mike's place (I-1). We met up with them on the lake but went our separate ways as we headed to 76 Falls. The water was deep, and we were able to swim under the falls…always invigorating!
Some highlights from this trip:
- Standing under Triple Tier with Kamden
- Hiking down the creek at Triple Tier
- Depancing a tuber (hilarious!)
- Swimming under 76 (well padding on Chariot)
- Kamden skiing
- Nolan winning a birdhouse at BINGO at the State Park
- Making Smores at the campfire
- Chillaxing! Have a great trip!
We had a great experience with our stay here at Apple Valley s3
Sally's condo was excellent! Very clean, well appointed and convenient to Lake Cumberland. We will be sure to stay again on our next visit to the lake.
Love every time I can get a week at Apple Valley S3! It's the perfect place to relax and recharge. The condo is beautiful and totally comfortable with everything we need.
This was our family's fourth time staying at Apple Sally's Condo 3 and it's still one of our favorite places to vacation. The condo is always clean and truly is a home away from home. You cannot beat the location for heading to the lake, hiking or just simply relaxing at the community pool. I would highly recommend staying here...I know we will be back!!
We are going back to the same place next year that is how much we loved it!!
Very clean, all updated, nicely decorated, comfortable. Located at the entrance to the state park, about four miles from the State Dock. Kids loved the pool and community center. Quiet neighborhood. The wifi is run by the condo association and isn't functional from this unit. You can get internet access by the community center but there is little bandwith, though enough (I'm told) to catch Pokeman. New AC unit quietly kept us cool, and the controls were (surprisingly) easy to figure out. Laundry facilities are in the community center; old but work well, take quarters.
We stayed for two weeks. Lake Cumberland is the big attraction, and it is massive. The water is clean, clear, and incredibly warm. Other things to do include visiting the U.S. Hatchery (4 miles, and it's free), going on a short horseback ride and playing on the small miniature golf course. The restaurant at The Lure Lodge, also located in the State Park, has a fantastic view of the lake and reasonable prices. Though it has a menu, it's really a buffet place. There isn't really "fine dining" in the area. Notwithstanding what we read on the internet, the area is not "dry", though you might want to bring your supplies with you as beer and wine are extremely expensive there. I did not see any liquor for sale in stores, but there are places that sell mixed drinks. The Jamestown Tap, located at the Jamestown Dock (across the bay from the State Dock) is a fun place to eat, both inside and on the water. That was my favorite restaurant we visited.
For boat owners, there is a large ramp on the way to the State Dock to put your boat in. Trailers are not allowed on the downhill road leading to the State Dock, since there's a lot of traffic and no where to turn around. You can park your vehicle and trailer at the ramp, for free. The State Dock will rent you a slip ($25 per night for small boats) which is convenient. That $25 per night can add up, but with just me and two kids for most of the time I really didn't have a choice. Parking at the State Dock is extremely limited but there are several designated lots close by; free shuttles run all day and evening. We never waited more that a couple of minutes and frequently the shuttle was waiting for us as we were parking. If you are at the ramp, you have to call a number at the State Dock for pick up.
Also, Mammoth Cave is really awesome.
The owner was very responsive to requests and immediately returned security deposit.

Apple Valley has a strict no pet policy.
We are confident that once you have stayed in Apple Sally's Condo, you will never stay anywhere else again when you visit Lake Cumberland. There's no place more family-friendly and welcoming than Apple Valley Resort. We found it back in the 80's after many, many stays at Lake Cumberland State Park. It is the best of both worlds. You can enjoy all the amenities that the State Park offers, yet you are away from the crowds in your own private getaway when you want to be. Conveniently located between two great launch ramps, and boat rentals……..What's not to love?
