"it may help to know that the following comments come from someone who since 2000 has worked and holidayed in the following Caribbean countries: Antigua (3 times), Barbados (2 times), Guadeloupe (1 times), Guyana (1 times), St. Lucia (1 times), Trinidad (2 times), Tobago (1 times), and who not only does not speak French, but was the owners first English-speaking guest. I was very impressed and would recommend this accommodation due to the efforts of the owners (Francoise and David). Don''t worry if you do not speak French, as long as you make an effort to say "Bonjour" etc, people will do their best to help you. The people in Martinique are EXTREMELY helpful. Of the 30+ countries I have visited, the people in Martinique are the most helpful I have ever seen in the world. The public transport system in Martinique, however, is pathetic, but the people make up for it by giving hitch-hikers rides and even if you are not trying to hitchhike you will probably be offered rides. I had 2 people stop, ask if I needed a ride, and then gave me one. [By the way, although I did not do it, you can hire "small" cars very very cheaply - less than half a mile away (in Diamante).] The owners (David and Francoise) fit into the same "helpful" category. They went OUT OF THEIR WAY to help me in ways that mattered to me. I came to Martinique on the cheap (and I mean cheap!) and they so helped me out by taking me to a supermarket on my first day that my trip went from being a potential financial disaster to being an A+ success. They do not really understand how much that was appreciated. The unit is very clean, very spacious, and extremely comfortable. The shower works well, the air-conditioner works very well, the bed was great, the microwave perfect, and a real bonus: the fridge is on the verandah so you do not have to listen to it''s noise like in many hotel rooms. There are a number of quiet shops located in the complex - look around, I only saw some of them on my last day! David and Francoise agreed to picking me up from the airport upon arrival and taking me to the airport on my departure. They were on time and most considerate. Please note, for anyone who does not know much about Martinique, be warned, it is seriously beautiful. Apart from New Zealand, I have never been to a more beautiful country. If you are FIT and I mean fit, walk up Morne Lacher from the Diamante side. The view is great. It''s harder from the Diamant end, but it makes a truly great day if you then walk all the way to Trois Islets via all the amazing beachs on the way. There are buses in that part of the island, but be warned they stop running extremely early. Also definitely get to Trinite and walk out to the Fort. It only costs 4 euros to get into the fort and it''s well worth it. Je veux que ma maison la-bas! I was in Martinique for 5 nights and walked over 25 miles a day, and yet even with that I missed out on so much. Unlike most Caribbean islands that you can see the best bits in a few days, there is so much more to see in Martinique. If you like gardens and flowers, then you are truly in heaven. My best 2 pieces of advise are the following: (1) Ask David and Francoise as many possible questions as you possibly can on the first day (and then ask some more) and then follow their advise - they really knew their stuff and made my holiday so much better, and (2) note on some nights the bar on the main road monopolises the air with their loud speakers playing their music extremely loudly (it does not go on after midnight, but the owners of that facility are one of the few people in Martinique who I suggest could do with some lessons from the rest of the great, considerate people on the island as to how to be better citizens - said another way, a rocket up their backside would not hurt!). I had a great, great time and want to come back."

Agréable et facile, comme chez soi

Appartement super bien situé, à deux pas de la mer et de la plage avec son ombrage d'arbres, à deux pas du marché et proche de la petite ville avec ses quelques restaus et son petit supermarché, permettant en outre un accès relativement rapide et aisé (en 10-15 mn) à la quatre-voies vers le sud de l'île ou vers Fort-de-France. L'appartement en lui-même comprend tout ce qu'il faut pour une vie ordinaire, et offre l'agrément d'une terrasse (avec soleil le matin) qui fait office de salle à manger et de cuisine disposant de tout le nécessaire. L'appartement est calme, bien insonorisé par rapport aux autres appartements, seul le bruit ordinaire de la rue survient de façon ponctuelle aux heures d'école le matin et le soir. Ce n'est donc en rien une gêne, mais plutôt l'insertion dans le mouvement ordinaire de la vie. Quant à Françoise et à David, ils sont simples et cordiaux, et attentionnés (nous avons eu la surprise d'un grille-pain tout neuf suite à une question sur ce point à notre arrivée, l'avion étant tard et personne ne prenant l'appartement le jour même ils nous ont proposé d'en avoir l'usage quelques heures de plus). Ils sont heureux de faire partager leur amour de l'île et de la population, et le prix auquel ils louent est réellement amical en comparaison de beaucoup d'autres. Grâce à eux notre séjour a été agréable, et facile, au point que nous avons eu l'impression d'être un peu comme chez nous et que l'idée de revenir séjourner en Martinique est désormais vraisemblable.

Je recommande chaudement cette location. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. L'appartement est très bien équipé, chaleureux. Un vrai petit cocon. Nous y étions tellement bien que nous avons prolongé notre location de quelques jours. Continuez comme ça. Merci beaucoup ;)

L'idéal !!!

A notre arrivée, Françoise nous a réservé un accueil parfait. Nous avons passé 10 jours dans l'appartement qui est devenu, très rapidement notre petit nid douillet. On s'y sent comme à la maison.

Le matin, nous prenions juste notre serviette et partions à la plage qui était juste de l'autre coté de la rue...Que du bonheur !!!

Vous pouvez choisir cet appartement les yeux fermés.
