Charming 3 bdrm cottage located in downtown Rockport.
Come enjoy this quiet, private oasis set back from the street and surrounded by gardens and trees but still within walking distance to downtown, beaches and the train to Boston. This house is a unique blend of new and old. Built 7 years ago with old cottage charm, reclaimed wood floors, granite fireplace, and modern appliances mix to make a warm and inviting feel. The living space is open with cathederal ceilings. You will find two bedrooms downstairs both with double/full beds. A full bath separates the two bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs is a master bedroom with a queen bed. the living room has a pull out couch. There is a private hot/cold shower off the kitchen. Hammock, and barbeque grill, beach chairs and Washer/dryer.
This property offers the uniqueness of being in downtown Rockport and being a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
This home made our visit to Rockport fantastic had been in Bar Harbor for the week prior and truely wished we had spent the majority of time here .The house and property and location was exactly what we were looking for .Lydia has done an amazing job with the home and made us feel very welcome . We love Rockport and will definitely be back to this property. Our special thanks to Lydia for being pet friendly . We were searching for an upscale accommodation which would allow are St Bernard and so many places are concerned . We are both very particular about our home and our furnishings and feel the same about taking care of someone else's .Its nice to be able to have an exceptional stay with out Auggie. Thanks again
Very cozy & comfortable for our family. Private yard & patio, spacious interior. Lydia is very accommodating and helpful. Thank you.
I was in town for a family reunion during the last weekend of June. My brother, sister, father and I stayed in Lydia's Cottage. We absolutely fell in love with the place! I do a fair amount of VRBOs around the country, and this property ranks at the tippy top of my list. The cottage was clean, very well appointed, quiet, private. From the original posting, i thought there were two full baths, but upon arrival the tub/shower upstairs- off the queen room- was under construction. It will be gorgeous once completed. The kitchen is fully stocked. Grab a couple of rolls of paper towels on your way in- which should be the renters responsibility anyway- IMHO. The hammock begs for relaxing- and that we did. While we were pretty busy with events around town, we did find time to go to downtown rockport- and it is absolutely walkable. Such a cute little area with shops and restaurants. Lydia was fantastic to work with. Very prompt and courteous in all aspects. This house is good for older families and younger ones that travel with stair gates! :) If i ever find myself in this area again, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
My husband and I had a wonderful week at Lydia's house in Rockport, MA. We didn't need to bring anything other than our clothes as the home was equipped with everything we needed to make our vacation complete. Lydia provided information about where to dine, places to visit and where to get groceries. She was available at all times to answer any questions we had and would quickly fix anything needing attention. The house and surroundings were very comfortable and we will certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wonderful New England experience.
I stayed in Rockport for one night. Lydia was an excellent host and allowed us to check in early. The house was very spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental.
