Spacious, light, comfortable, convenient position and clean
Owners met me at the station, very helpful and welcoming; explained the appliances and handed over the keys. Said if any help was needed to call - none required. All very clean, comfortable and spacious.
There was a proper kitchen with oven, dishwasher etc, not just a cooking corner. Brits could do with a teapot & kettle if a cuppa is vital to you, otherwise lots of utensils, crockery and cutlery.
Position very convenient for the station, buses, sea and boat trips with lots of lovely places to visit, including the town itself. The market and the colonnades leading to it are great.
Seaside is also very pleasant with a small sand/pebble beach and sheltered swimming areas.
Only downside was the railway sound - loud at times.

"The apartment was very clean. Everything was as advertised. The location was great because it was near the train station and the beach, yet not too noisy. Street parking was a bit tricky, because I had to move the car so that the streets can be cleaned. But other than that, we had a great stay."

We found annoying noise a...
We found annoying noise and the lack of parking places. Chiavari is a modern village (it has no historical core) with huge traffic - imagine all the noisy scooters riding practically all the day and night.
It is almost impossible to park free a car except of main parking lot near the marina - which is about 1 km far away (watch out parking near the train station is 1.5 EUR per hour).
The cleaning system (of roads) is interesting - there is a list of streets and exact time when its expected to be cleaned - your car could be pulled out (also the marina parking has its cleaning time - lunedi 6-7am).
During our stay there was reconstruction of main access road in progress, opposite building is also beeing reconstructed (scaffold) and the nearest beach is also under construction - this beach is not accessible at all.
Forget enjoying the sea during saturday (as a starting day of your holliday). We were satisfied in early morning (before 9am) - when water was clean and the number of people was minimal.
Flat - the building has about 7 stocks - the flat is situated well - during the most of the day it is not under direct sun. However the air conditioning would be useful - the flat was still too hot and it was only end of June.
Owners are trying to be helpful but they cannot English.
All in all - we don't recommend to people who don't know Italian and don't like heavy traffic on streets.
Ci spiace non aver ricevuto un giudizio simile agli altri dandoci un 2 dove tutti gli altri hanno messo un 5, ma riteniamo che tutte le persone meritino rispetto, in sintesi noi abbiamo affittato l’appartamento da alcuni anni e possiamo affermare che mettiamo il massimo impegno e disponibilità, essendo noi privati cittadini e non professionisti come gli impiegati di una reception, come forse si aspettava. Riguardo il contesto o la collocazione non spetta a noi spiegare perché turisti di tutto il mondo vengono a visitare la Riviera Ligure e scelgono tra le varie città anche la nostra Chiavari
Quindi la conclusione o meglio il suggerimento che diamo a questi ospiti è di affidarsi a strutture (Agenzia di Viaggi) che sappiano indirizzarli in modo conforme alle loro aspettative perché se non possono tollerare nemmeno il lavaggio strada( avviene prevalentemente di sera a zone dal lunedì al venerdì ) che è sinonimo di pulizia e ordine, l’asfaltatura che garantisce una ottima manutenzione cittadina, il mare pulito rappresentato con l’ assegnazione della bandiera BLU che ovviamente giustifica l’affluenza alle spiagge.

L' alloggio ci è piaciuto molto perché spazioso,pulitone ordinato.Ha una posizione davvero ottima per poter raggiungere i negozi i ristoranti e a un passo dalla spiaggia.I padroni di casa ci hanno accolto con gentilezza e con massima disponibilità!

To 35 km to east of Genoa. Excursions on the coast: Sestri Levante, Cinque Terre and the famous one Portofino. In the inside of the region Fontanabuona and Val d'Aveto. Also every second Saturday and Sunday of the month ANTIQUE FAIRS, the most important event in Liguria, and the last veek-end of the month MARKET OF TASTES with specialties. Local cuisine PESTO FARINATA FOCACCIA. Allocation of the blue flag, only 13 cites in Liguria like cleaned up sea more.
