About the property

The house, built in traditional Majorcan style, is orientated toward the Southeast and situated in a very quiet environment amidst the countryside. It has a beautiful garden with autochthonous plants, a fruit orchard and a generous terrace, thus offering the perfect environment for relaxing holidays. The building is surrounded by nature and almond groves (in the period of the almond blossom from january till February, the environment turns into one big garden of white and pink blossom.) The house enjoys good access and there are numerous leisure activities on offer nearby. At a distance of less than 15 kilometres you will find museums, shops and golf courses.

Ideal house

This house was just perfect in every sense. An old style Majorcan house that was very well kept and tastefully renovated with modern appliances.

No neighbours and a nice view as well as the extra benefit of having animals just next door (the kids loved feeding the pigs!) I just can't think of anything that we felt was missing. Even the Wifi was fast...!

The owner (and his dad) was very friendly and easy going as well as knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely come back.

"This is paradise! Lovely private house with swimmingpool and lots of extra's. Super friendly owner that knows the island well and gives lots of useful info. We were pleasantly surprised finding a bottle of cava and a big water mellon, among other things in the big fridge.

We truly loved this house and will without doubt return to Son Fam nou."

"House renovated in 2007 with extraordinary attention to stylish and beautiful furniture, details etc. House was in perfectly clean condition, no noise, surroundings+view as described, amenities/equipment all perfect, easy access by rental car from airport (40min). Reliable, honest, friendly, caring and available owner. Animals on neighboring lot an attractive and entertaining plus to families with children. Highly recommended house. Will be happy to recommend and to rent it again."

"I stayed at this property with my family and friends, 4 adults and 2 children for two weeks in August 2009. We were very impressed with the house and its facilities. The house is very pretty and well maintained. The pool was fantastic, immaculately clean and a welcome reprise from the hot August sun.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquillity offered by the house and it's beautiful surroundings. We arrived at night and were treated to a clear sky full of stars, including a shooting star.

Guillermo and his father Joan were very freindly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

I strongly recommend the use of a hire car to enable you to see the real Mallorca. We made several trips including Palma, drives up the coast(stunning views),a boat trip, a water park and many visits to Porto Cristo. However, be wary of over priced marina/sea front bars and restaraunts in Porto Cristo, go up the side streets to find more reasonable prices. In my opinion you will find the best scenery/beaches and coves away from the over commercialised resorts. We will definitely return to Mallorca for another holiday and would definately consider using Homelidays again.

I can't say enough in praise of this beautiful Island and thank Guillermo and his father for their help and advice. Especially to Joan for the lovely fresh figs! The best holiday I've ever had."

"The house had a beautiful feel to it, nicer than the photos can describe. Location was great and very secluded, and only about 10 minutes from Porto Cristo. The property was gated, and the neighboring garden had animals for the kids to see! Everything was top notch, with a lot of attention to details. Honestly there were days that we just didn't leave the house. And Guillem was great! Lots of good tips!"

Alles perfekt!

Das Haus ist eine typische majorkinische Finca! Wir (4 Erwachsene + 3 Kinder) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!!! Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Herrn Guillem empfangen - er gab uns zahlreiche Tipps und der Kühlschrank war bereits mit dem wichtigsten gefüllt!

Das Haus selbst war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Tiere am angrenzenden Grundstück haben nicht gestört (kein Lärm, keine Geruchsbelästigung), die Kinder hatten eine Freude damit.

Nur wenige Autominuten entfernt gibt es wunderschöne Buchten!

Wir möchten gerne wieder einmal zurück kommen! Der Urlaub war perfekt!

How to arrive from the airport: motorway towards Santanyí. Then take exit 10 for Manacor and follow signs to Manacor. At the roundabout at the town boundary of Manacor, take the turn-off to the left towards Artá along the Ma 4022 road towards Son Carrió. At the main square of the small village we will be waiting for you to wish you a lovely holiday.

In fact you can even relax perfectly well without having to leave the house at all. The house finds itself in a privileged situation offering breathtaking views of the sea on the horizon. At night you can enjoy starry skies in the romantic garden, during the day the beautiful rural environment invites to stroll or hike.

However, you should make sure not to miss out on the beautiful beaches and bays of the nearby coast. The village of Son Carrió, only one
