A traditional balinese house
A fabulous house and garden to experience in Ubud. We loved the pool and the view of the rice fields.
Good. But a few things made that it isn’t our house.
We often rent a house. Often there are gems. That is certainly not this. However, it is certainly not bad either. And what is it in then? Especially in the feeling, and a few small things. House is very spacious and clean, but very dark. At breakfast, when the clouds were outside, the lights had to go on.
Outside it looks fantastic. Very well maintained garden with a view of the rice fields. But also here; The extra pond with a lot of fish (which has to do with a bottom of water due to leakage) attracts even more insects, so sitting outside is not possible.
The lady who cleans our house and took care of the ridiculously expensive breakfast was easy to reach and did it all fine. However, it was all minimal compared to other houses. After an email to the owner (about something else), she was suddenly well in time.
Location great. Quiet. Center easily and quickly accessible via transport. However, the last street after the house you have to do with the car or scooter. On foot it is a torture of 3 minutes. Bad and nasty.
Beautiful traditional Balinese home and garden with friendly and helpful staff
We spent 6 wonderful days in this lovely home. Our journey began when the house manager told us “ just enjoy; you are King and Queen” and we were treated like royalty. She came every day to make us a delicious breakfast. She was extremely helpful and assisted us with making plans and securing a personal driver to take us around to various sights.
For an extra fee she made us dinner on 2 of the evenings. She also made sure that we had adequate transportation into town for the days that we went in.
The grounds were immaculately kept and the pool was an excellent addition to the home.
The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because of a few hiccups that were easily dealt with. A taxi that was arranged for never came and the gas ran out one day so no hot water for the shower. The tank was changed that day, but there was a problem with the gas line to the stove so we couldn’t use it to cook dinner and we had already bought groceries. We got by and the house manager was very apologetic.
Overall we felt very secure, well cared for and had an excellent vacation. I would definitely stay at this house in the future and highly recommend it when staying in Ubud.
This villa was exactly what we needed after 5 days in busy, touristy Seminyak.
Location: A few kilometres outside of Ubud it was peaceful, quiet, and just close enough to enjoy the town when we wanted. Looking out over the rice paddies was relaxing and our daughter really enjoyed being able to see the ducks, chickens, cows, and calves nearby
Villa: About 20 years old and constructed with excellent craftsmanship. A/C in both bedrooms. Exterior doors and gate to property lockable from both the inside and outside. For us, this meant getting to enjoy the uber-refreshing rainforest/infinity pool without a child gate around it as we knew our 3 year old couldn't get out of the house at night, but she was still able to go room to room if she needed to (although we could have locked her door as well if we wanted).
Service: The owners have a house nearby and stopped to say hello on arrival. A huge highlight of the place was the housekeeper, Komang, who did breakfast every day, nannied for our daughter, and generally made sure we had everything we needed. She also made us a gorgeous dinner one night! Our driver Ray was also a big hit and available for transfers from Seminyak and to the airport at the end of the stay.
Overall: We would have happily stayed here for our entire holiday and probably will next time! Don't hesitate if it's available!
A beautiful spot with rice fields in the back yard
We enjoyed our 10 day stay in Villa Balinese. The house was lovely and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Komang took such good care to see that all our needs and desires were met. The gardens and pool on this property are beautiful and there were so many comfortable places to sit on porches, on in the gardens to view the rice fields and flowers, koy fish in the pond etc. We were also supplied with a scooter and helmets so no need to rent. Our rental materials gave us information on restautants and sights to see and that was very helpful. I would highly recommend this Villa in Ubud to anyone who desires a very peaceful and beautiful place to stay in Ubud.
The garden at this villa is gorgeous, you can happily while away hours watching the activity in the rice fields or swimming in the pool.Komang the housekeeper is a star,I wish I could take her home. She is a great cook and will organise anything you ask for. Please use her to cook dinner and breakfast when you don’t want to go out as she is a great cook. She knows everyone in the area and is a great source of information on local life
(Text automatically translated) Direct access and parking in front of the villa. The big advantage is that you are beside Ubud while being quiet and along beautiful rice plus the sunset in front ...
Ubud is the artistic and cultural center of bali. Sculptors, painters, artists, dance performances, cooking classes and the best SPA and restaurants (one of the 50 best in the world "mozaic)) are waiting for you at the real bali heart far from the estate developmentfrom the south of the island.
