To go to the old town and the Promenade des Anglais it takes 25 minutes walk. To go the tram which runs every 4 minutes it is 10 minutes to be on the beach and the resorts is 400 meters from the house. The buses are 10 meters far and they go in town too and the airport.
Outside the door you can find Groceries like (carrefour-market, Piccard (frozen products) etc.,a covered market and every day except Monday a general market of fruit and vegetable stands in the street.
A lot of restaurants are around the House
We were blown away by the location, the views, the super friendly hostess, and the many amenities. We were a family of four; father, son, grown grandson and granddaughter. The previous reviews said it all so there is no point in repeating all the good things about the apartment except to add that the air conditioning came in very handy during our stay. My son came down with a serious ear infection and Brigitte was kind enough to refer us to her doctor who took care of the infection in short order. Thanks, we loved out stay!
Wonderful location: 1 block from Tram stop and open air market. You can get just about anywhere in Nice on the Tram, so very convenient. The apartment is not luxurious; but it is very comfortable. If you want to cook, the kitchen has most everything you will need, and being able to shop for fresh produce, fish, cheeses, and meats in the market is a real treat. There are 2 bedrooms with plenty of room to spread out your things and cabinets to hang clothes in. The star of the apartment is the terrace which wraps around the corner and one side of the building, giving you a 360 degree view of Nice and the surrounding mountains. You are on the 4th floor, so the view really is spectacular. Unfortunately, when we were there in late April, it was still too cool and windy to enjoy the terrace; but we certainly enjoyed sitting in the area just inside the apartment with a full view from the terrace. If you are there late May through August, I think you would spend a lot of time on the terrace, as there is a large table/chairs for dining. The only drawback to the apartment is that there is only 1 full bath, and virtually no counter space in the bathroom. It's a little crowded for 2 or 3 people to share. There is however, a half bath; so at least it is available when someone else is in the shower. The owner, Brigette, was extremely friendly, helpful, and hospitable, even picking us up at the airport. She checked in several times to make sure we had everything we needed and that the apartment was satisfactory. I'm not sure if it says anything about this in the property description; but while the apartment is on the 4th floor, there is an elevator (a very typical, small European elevator) - no more than 3 people at a time, and if you have large suitcases you will make several trips; but for the most part this wasn't an issue for us. My husband and I rarely encountered another person wanting to use the elevator at the same time. We chose this apartment because it is a 5 minute walk to our son's apartment (who lives in Nice). We would definitely stay here again!
Have now stayed twice at this lovely apartment and expect to make further reservations in the future. The location is superb, just a few stops by tram from the main railway station and the airport bus stops nearly outside. A lift takes you to the top floor and the apartment where the furniture and decoration is extremely tasteful and stylish. Just love the galley kitchen with on tap iced water and all facilities including condiments, beverages and all those little things you would rather not bother buying when self-catering. The lounge then opens onto the most gorgeous balcony which is perfect for sunbathing and enjoying breakfast, at night it’s even more stunning with amazing views over a glittering Nice and is a perfect way to end the day with a glass of wine. The two bedrooms were very comfortable as were the beds and pillows which can be hard in France.
The local neighbourhood is perfect; just outside the front door is a fab massive local fruit and veg market including fresh fish and oysters. (This became a flea market on Mondays which was a great surprise) There is also a covered artisan market across the road with bread, deli and meat including Italian as we are so close to the border. With a couple of supermarkets super close too, you have everything you could possibly want to self-cater on your doorstep. Eating out is easy and there is a lovely fish restaurant a two minute walk from the apartment that I would recommend. The tram stops less than a five minute walk away that takes you to the old town in about ten minutes. Walk to the seafront and you can catch the local buses to most villages. Would recommend going to St Paul de Vence (artist village), Cagnes en haut (visit the castle), and Eze (cactus garden and exquisite views!) as a must. Then take the train to Monaco and Menton (old town and lemon groves) plus don’t miss Beaulieu which you can take a train to and visit the Villa and gardens Ephrussi Rothschild which is seriously beautiful. As for Nice I love the old town especially the flower market which sells antiques on a Monday. Eat seafood down by the harbour including fish soup (bouillabaisse). If you get the chance do see the Russian church behind the railway station.
For a perfect break in Nice this lovely apartment couldn’t be better located and now wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Brigitte the owner couldn’t be more helpful in making us feel at home, she was an excellent host and an absolute delight and really made our holidays special.
Wir wurden von sogar von Brigitte vom Flughafen abgeholt und zum Ende unseres Urlaubes wieder zum Flughafen gebracht.
Die Vermieterin hat sich um uns sehr bemüht. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit und hat mit uns sogar einen Tag einen Ausflug gemacht.
Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und kann nur von uns empfohlen werden.
Man hat einen tollen Blick über Nizza und einen tollen Balkon.
Die zwei Schlafzimmer sind gut ausgestattet, wie man sagen kann, dass die Wohnung sehr gut ausgestattetet ist. Die Küche bietet alle notwendigen Geräte.
Die Wohnung ist zentrumsnah und trotzdem angenehm ruhig.
Die Lage der Wohnung ist insgesamt sehr gut und es ist alles schnell errreichbar.
In der Nähe sind gute Einkaufmöglichkeiten und auch ein kleiner Markt mit Obst, Käse, Fisch und Backwaren.
Einige kleine nette Restuarationen sind auch in der Nähe.
Zum Strand sind es ewa 20 Minuten zu Fuss oder vier Tramstationen.
Die Altstadt erreicht man man ebenfalls in ca. 20 Minuten.
Insgesamt hatten wir eine schöne Zeit, welches wir zum großen Teil Brigitte und ihrer tollen Wohnung zu verdanken hatten..
Eine super tolle Wohnung haben wir vorgefunden und eine sehr nette, sympathische Vermieterin. Somit fing der Urlaub schon super an. Die Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen mit der sehr großen Dachterasse, mit herrlichem Blick, rundum Balkon und Klimaanlage in den Schlafzimmern. Ein amerikanischer Kühlschrank mit Eis und Wasserspender führten dazu dass wir kein Wasser kaufen mussten und immer frisch gekühlt genießen konnten. Direkt am Haus ist außer Montag jeden Tag Markt mit frischem Fisch, hervorragend. Die Straßenbahn ist keine 5 Minuten entfernt, sodass für 1 € man zu jeder Zeit ans Meer (4 Haltestellen) oder in die Altstadt kommt. Die Lage der Wohnung ist einfach genial. Können wir nur jedem empfehlen. Für uns war es ein super toller Urlaub. Nicht zuletzt auch durch die Gastfreundschaft von der Vermieterin. Danke an Brigitte.
Emplacement idéal, à deux pas du tramway et du marché en plein air. L'appartement est grand, très bien éclairé, confortable. Magnifique terrasse. Pour une première fois depuis 40 ans j'ai découvert qu'on pouvait vivre en ville sans auto. Ma femme et moi avons passé 2 mois très agréables dans ce bel appartement. La meilleure preuve, j'y suis retourné 3 fois.
