Beautiful home. Best view in Tucson!
Michelle was great from the start. Took time out of her day to walk us thru when we got there. She was always available if we needed anything. House had plenty of room, well supplied with all household items and extras in case you forgot anything.
Outdoor patio huge with beautiful pool and spa.
Recommended for you if your looking for high quality area, home and suggestion of outings or food in area by Michelle.
So glad you and your family enjoyed their stay. I know it was a special time to celebrate with your family and I’m glad you found my Tucson suggestions helpful.
Hacienda Sin Vaca
Our multi generational family thoroughly enjoyed your wonderful beautiful home with the beautiful views from inside and outside. Thank you Sam for the introduction to Barb and me when we arrived. The location to the surrounding Tucson area made getting around very easy. We look forward to sharing your home again in the future.
Beautiful home with breathtaking views
We absolutely loved our stay in this fantastic house with incredible views inside and out. Michelle and Sam do an amazing job making you feel welcome and providing so many amenities to make your stay very comfortable. They take great pride in this home and it shows. The beautiful photography is an added bonus!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We hope to be back soon!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you again soon!
Wonderful home in a fantastic setting with really attentive owners.
We spent a week after Christmas at the Sin Vacas hacienda. Despite the federal government shutdown closing national facilities and snow in Tucson, we had a wonderful time. The hacienda easily absorbed our 8 adults with great common spaces that were spacious and allowed us to comfortably share meals, games, reading or just chatting. The hot tub and pool were a must! Sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed from the great room or back porch/patio. The nighttime vista of Tucson's sparkling lights is mesmerizing. And we can't say enough about how hospitable Michelle and Sam were--orienting us to the facility and providing great recreational and dining suggestions. Though we had no malfunctions we were confident that they were a text or phone call away. North Tucson is full of things to do, and the greater Tucson area has an incredible variety of sights, entertainment and dining. Don't miss the raptor free flight show at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves! You were great guests. We hope you will return sometime!
Beautiful, comfortable home with amazing views!
We enjoyed every minute of our weeklong stay while visiting our son at U of A! We hosted a few college kids for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner making use of the full kitchen & expansive dining room. From the minute Sam & Michele greeted us with wine & cheese and gave us a full tour of where everything was and how everything worked- we felt at home. The owners clearly take pride in this beautiful home and are always available for questions, restaurant recommendations, etc. The views are amazing, we took our family Christmas card picture in the backyard! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
We are so glad your family had a great Thanksgiving vacation. Thank you for visiting! You are welcome again anytime.
Amazing views with tons of amenities
We really enjoyed our stay in the Tucson foothills. The owners were so gracious and attentive starting with a lovely wine and cheese plate spread upon arrival. The master suite is huge as is the family room - plenty of room for everyone to spread out. A special surprise was the beautiful photography of Arizona wildlife and flora thru out the house. Highly recommend this property to anyone!!!
We are so glad you enjoyed your time and the things we have to offer. It was fun meeting you, and hope you might want to visit us again sometime!
A car is recommended for the Tucson area. The house has a three-car garage, and has plenty of room for cars, bikes, or golf clubs. We can provide a set of Ping golf clubs and bag upon request.
If you decide to venture out, you need not go far. Tucson's most up-scale shopping and dining area is less than a five minute drive. At the corner of Campbell and Sunrise there are at least 10 highly rated restaurants: Flemings Steak House, Acacia, Vivace, RA sushi, and even a Starbuck's. La Encantada shopping center is described as modern luxury retail and also has a fine foods grocery store, as well as Williams Sonoma, PotteryBarn, Tiffany's and the Apple store. There are also many boutique clothing stores.
The greater Tucson area is very bike friendly with many bike lanes and trails. In November, the Tour de Tucson is a 85 mile bike route event that includes nearby Sunrise road with it's clearly marked bike lanes for biking year around.
Resort style golf can be played year around, and this house is central to access so many golfing venues, that they can't all be listed, but here are a few premiere courses: La Paloma, Ventana Canyon, and Conquistador. PGA golf tournaments have been hosted at Omni National, Starr Pass, and the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play has been hosted by the Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain and other venues around Tucson. Many other courses are scattered throughout Tucson.
Further afield are Tucson's most well-known tourist attractions, such as Old Tucson Movie Studios, where many westerns were filmed with stars like John Wayne. Also in that area, is The Sonoran Desert Museum. It is a living museum of animals and creatures that can provide a wonderful opportunity to identify the flora and fauna that you will see in your own backyard at your home-away-from-home.
The Pima County Air Museum has been the perfect place to showcase hundreds of vintage airplanes, and thanks to our year around low humidity, they are perfectly preserved and available for regular tours for the Aviation aficionado.
If you would like to travel in style to Arizona's wine country, we can connect you with a private limousine service to safely drive you to Sonoita for a day trip of tastings. Bring back your wine and keep it in our temperature controlled wine refrigerator for the duration of your stay to be enjoyed at your leisure.
If hiking is on your to-do list, we are central to two popular hiking destinations.
First, is Sabino Canyon, where the shimmering copper water flows to invite hikers, sunbathers, and power walkers. There is also a tram for those who want to see more in less time.
Second, is Catalina State Park. This park has many trails going up the northwestern slopes of the Catalina Mountains, where many Big Horn sheep were reintroduced to the area. Water flows here from snow melt high above in the mountains or during monsoon season.
Or just step outside your front door, and walk up the trails into the Pusch Ridge Reserve area. The house is bordered to the north by natural preserved property that extends on up to the pinnacle mountain peaks. These are less traveled, but only because they can only be accessed from this gated community.
Monsoon season is predictably July and August, and is a photographers dream!
From your perch above the city you can witness nature's power in a light show production that is all Mother Nature. The cloud formations, sunsets, and rainbows beg to be photographed from the comfort of your front porch.
Saguaros and other cacti produce flowers that we have photographed mostly just around the property, and those photos proudly add color to every room in the house. In early Spring ,the California poppies are frequently out in mass.
Take a day trip out to Kitt Peak National Observatory and see some of the poppies on your way. This Observatory houses the world's largest collection of optical telescopes for astronomical viewing, and they have regular nightly viewing programs for visitors. Our clear skies make star gazing world class!
The world's largest Gem and Mineral show happens in Tucson every February, and it is extremely difficult to find lodging in town or the surrounding areas during this time. If you are fortunate enough to stay here during this time you can explore the city wide event. Diamonds and rare gemstone jewelry abound, but fossils and geodes and all things geological are featured in venues around town. Shoppers and collectors flock here for this gigantic event.
