3 Bedrooms; additional Day bed in the den; 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 7
This is the home I grew up in. My parents built this house in 1954-55. While it is an older home it has been well maintained. As a kid we raised beef cattle and grew tobacco and corn. As a kid I would hunt squirrels on this property and camp. It is a very special place to me and my brothers. I now live in Richmond, Kentucky and my brother and sister-in-law live close to this house.
Owner/Manager purchased this Farmhouse in 1955

Nice country farmhouse. Well appointed. Only issue had nothing to do with the property: No AT&T cell service at property. Verizon OK
Nice back yard property.
Beautiful hiking paths behind property.
It’s a home away from home, the surroundings are nothing but peace and nature.
We hiked the waterfalls and made it ur own adventure.
Overall, excellent place.
Carlos-we hear alot of similar comments from our guests about the quiet and peaceful nature of property. We want everyone to experience the beauty and serenity that comes with our mountain surroundings. We hope you will visit again soon.
Live the country life while being close to town.
Enchanting property with old barns and plenty of acreage to explore.
Lynn was easy to work with and very polite.
The house was clean and the grounds well kept.
Pamela-so glad to hear you had a good stay at our property. I hope you will visit again sometime in the near future.
the great outdoors
The great outdoors of Eastern Tennessee is literally a 360° panoramic view from this clean and cozy home! A trip to the properties fire pit at the top of the hill will quickly validate that you have arrived in the ultimate destination to relax.
Being able to access world class trophy trout fishing in the Watauga and South Holston Rivers or a mountain stream are literally just minutes away. During our next stay, we are looking forward to picking up the Appalachian Trail or Roan Mountain State Park for a day hike. This trip we bike cruised the Virginia Creeper Trial on a 30+ mile down hill ride.
Highly recommended home if you want to pull back the RPM’s for a few days or a week plus!
Happy Birthday America!
We went here for our daughter's birthday and stayed till the 4th of July. Owner was very friendly and informative. We will stay again!
This property is convenient to Watauga Lake and the Applachian Trail. There are several antique stores in downtown Elizabethton. There are opportunities for hiking on the property. The towns of Johnson City and Bristol are within an 30 minute drive and Barter Theatre and the Virginia Creeper Trail are within an hours drive.
