Our oceanview unit offers a unique floorplan that includes an enclosed den to essentially create a third bedroom. We've taken great care to select finer hawaiian style furnishings that are not only designer selected but comfortable. You'll find our kitchen generously supplied although we would encourage you to consider our personal grocery service. This is expecially great if you're arriving late in the evening. Once you've confirmed your accommodations you'll receive a grocery list which you simply check off the items you wish to have stocked for you upon arrival. It's great and so easy!
Our unit is quite large with spacious lanais that are perfect for outdoor dining and sunbathing. Truly one of the best features you'll find is the outstanding views from every room. They are all simply breathtaking! Central AC, TV's (3) DVD, CD, and washwer and dryer are just a few of the amenities available to you for added convenience.

Love the Alii and this unit, although the bathrooms could use an upgrade the unit fit our needs perfectly. All the beds are brand new (they delivered during our stay and they are awesome!) The views are spectacular and love the big lanai - too bad they won't let you have a bbq on the lanai though. We would stay in this unit again ~ the price is unbelievable for what you get. Kitchen is loaded with more than you need and we liked the beach chairs and toys for the kids. Love the floor plan - huge unit. We've always stayed at the Hyatt so these units are a fabulous value! Thank you we'll be back!S
This was our second trip to Maui and our second time staying at the Alii. We looked around but couldn't find another location that gave us what we wanted for the price we wanted. The condo is very comfortable and roomy. We stayed with two adults, three teens and a tween and everyone could spread out. The condo is well outfitted with bath towels, pool towels, pans & dishes, and boogie boards. We like the Alii because it isn't overcrowded and has a low key vibe. This time we took advantage of the grills out by the pool twice and really enjoyed that amenity. We would definitely stay here again.
We very much enjoyed our recent stay in this unit. Overall, it is a nice and comfortable unit. Considering the price difference from going through Classic Resorts, it is an excellent value for anyone looking for a 3bdrm with a view, in a prime Kaanapali location, on a excellent part of the beach, with a nice resort pool.
We have stayed at the Alii three previous times and always booked directly with the resort. We just returned from six nights at this unit and the results were a mixed bag. First, the positives. Renting this unit from VRBO saved us a little under $200 a night over the standard resort price so all comments need to be viewed in that light. Second, the Alii is a magnificent property. Un-crowded, and beautiful. The unit has great views. The shower heads are terrific (coming from low flow California). The floor plan spacious.
The third bedroom was great as there were six of us in the unit. Now, the negatives. First the unit looks "tired" This is a 3 million dollar condo and the sectional sofa has a board stuck in it to keep its occupants upright. My wife ended up putting beach towels over the couch before she would sit on it. The walls need a fresh coat of paint and the carpet is old. Just updating the unit in these areas would make a world of difference.
Lastly, the unit next door had major renovations going on all during our stay. The hallway was full of drop cloths that we had to walk through each day. Our final day, we came home after a half day sail ready to nap and we were treated to 5 straight hours of incredibly loud drilling on the common wall. It was so bad I knocked on their door and asked what they were doing. They were hanging wonder board on the wall for tile. I called the Beachfront rentals to see if they knew about the renovation as the tile guy said the renovation had been going on for weeks. Beachfront said they didn't know and there was nothing to be done. That is the downside of not renting through the resort. You can't complain to them or change rooms.
We just got home from here.. .stayed 5 nights in this wonderful condo... it was spacious and roomy... THE shower was AMAZING... great water pressure. I think the only complaint we all had was the 3 chairs at the table on the lanai... weird... there should be at least 4, but with a condo sleeping 6-8 I'm thinking a table for 6 would be best... We ate out there every night. I loved the pool area, great for a toddler.. the people at the pool were very friendly. We ended our stay at Honua Kai, I will be back to KA for sure!
This was our second stay in this unit and third stay at the Alii. The unit is as advertised and met all of our expectations. This unit comfortably sleeps 6-8 without feeling crowded, and the remodeling in 2012 is apparent when compared to 2011. The Alii is a terrific property and there is a lot to do within walking distance including great snorkeling at Black Rock ( a short walk away) or even just off the beach (there is a reef about 50 yards off the beach) and shopping at Whaler's village. Overall, this property is a great value.
Great grandparents, grandparents, parents and baby all stayed in this 3 bedroom condo. We all agree we would rent this place again in a heartbeat! There was plenty of space in each bedroom and on the lanai, a fabulous view, on the beach, and great pool area for all ages. The grounds were VERY well kept and this place is within walking distance to all the fun hang out spots. We used the BBQ area many times and it was always clean and inviting. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Everything represented in the pictures was as presented. The ONLY recommendation we have is more wine glasses and a set of smaller plastic cups. We had a wonderful, memorable stay celebrating a birthday. Thank you!!!
