About heather futcher
We are a family of 5 with 2 dogs, our life is busy and the cottage is our seaside get away. After buying the cottage in October 2015, thinking it will be sorted by Christmas it was ready to rent of by February 2016. A year on we have had some great times at our get away and judging by the reviews so have our guests. In Winter the rain swept beach walks and coming back home to the log fires (1 for each dog) with a chip supper from Harlech Fish and chip shop. (it's very good), or summer cycling on the tracks of Codabrenendd
heather futcher purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why heather futcher chose Talsarnau
The cottage is large enough to accommodate us all but still cosy at night with the fires lit. The is parking for 2 cars and a private garden that is secure for the dogs. Finally it is located within the Snowdonia national parks and has great access to many attractions
What makes this Cottage unique
Lots of space, good location, private rear garden, a real seaside home not just a rental house

Great stay lovely cottage
Me ,my partner and 2 daughter's and 2 dogs have just got back from this cottage we had a great stay. Everything you will need is in the cottage. Only little downside it's on the main road. It's in a good location. Close to Harlech and porthmadog which we found where both nice the museum there tell you all about it, borth y gest was one of are favourite walks and the dogs i think lovely beach walk and only a very short drive away. Can't wait to go back
Fantastic holiday in this lovely cottage. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful week in this cottage. It is clean, spacious and has everything you need. The children loved the garden swing and various games available - they both learned to play chess! The area is perfect for family days out and we were able to take our dog pretty much everywhere we went- even Y Branwen restaurant where we had a delicious meal.
There are wonderful walks behind the cottage through fields with cows, sheep and peacocks which we thoroughly enjoyed too.
The owners are extremely helpful and quick to respond with any queries.
The WiFi is poor, but we found it refreshing to have a break from it and 4G works great for those emergencies!
All in all, we had a great family holiday and would definitely like to return one day.
Property very nice very homely and not over the top.
very comfortable and homely not over the top. Only niggle was the shower needs to work properly without the need to mess about with the wash basin tap but other than that very happy with the accomadation.

Short break in Snowdonia
Property was as described. Although we didn't do much cooking, the kitchen was well equipped and clean.
Surprised that there is a train station a short distance away, and one of our party arrived by train from London (car essential to get get around area).
Pleasant house, clean & tidy. Overall very good. Good base for exploring North Wales. Not the end of the world but shame the WiFi wasn’t on, we could have done with it on a couple of accessions..
Really nice property, Rowdy wildlife!
We choose this property as it was really close to the local Narrow Gauge railways during a special weekend event(I LIKE TRAINS!), and the property was competitively priced too.
The 4 of us (all lads) found the property as described and found it homely, clean, comfortable and all of us slept well reasonably*. The facilities were more than adequate for our needs and was very pleased the fridge was of a decent size to keep all of our beverages chilled!
There was very little we could find fault with property & location. Of note the WiFi was very slow (our own mobile internet providers was far better). The proximity to the main road is quite close, despite in a 30mph zone, not many road users adhered to this, making the task of pulling out (of the drive) a ‘clenching’ experience.
Then there was local wildlife... a nominally peaceful village only interrupted by the sound of the occasional passing car (or boy racer in a Subaru Impreza with ‘the’ loudest exhaust known to mankind) or the sounds of sheep in the fields and local birds in the form of peacocks and pheasants. All of which had the habit of ‘crowing’ what felt like right outside the windows at 4:00AM! - we did have the windows open due to the warm nights. Never more had I felt the urge to possess a Blunderbuss or suchlike!
On the whole a really nice experience, would definitely use the property again, should the opportunity arise.
Lots to do in the area, from mountain biking golfing and lots nice little shops to look round all within a short drive
